Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Consumer Complaint: I have been trying to get Navient removed from my XXXX and XXXX credit report. Since earlier this year on each dispute it comes as being verified. I never asked for the validity of the account. What i have been asking for is the original consumer contract with my signature on it. Per the FCRA 609 rule if they could not provide that information then the account needed to be deleted. Not to mention this loan was issued on XX/XX/XXXX the school which is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX closed in XX/XX/XXXX also per the law any debt over 7 years old should be deleted from the credit report. I want Navient to remove both loans from my XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX Credit file

Consumer Complaint: I borrowed {$27000.00} now I own {$110000.00} ( interest rate 8.250 % ) and another loan i borrowed XXXX and i own XXXX ( interest rate 4.75 % ). This has destroyed my life even with minimal payment my balance keeps going up and up. It is literary uncontrollable. They forced me to accept lower interest rate payment plans multiple times ( b/c i can not afford to make full payment ) and i was happy to accept because i was able to afford the low interest loan payments. However, with the lower interest payments, it actually increases my total loan. And this was not explained to me properly. It feels like i am getting rubbed. The interest rate on the loan is high and the payment is unaffordable so they give me a lower payment options but the total amount goes up. I am not even sure how this is legal. I went to school and coming from am immigrant family and low income i was not able to get a lower interest rate student loads so I was forced to accept higher interest rate student loan. This is not fair. The poor even if they work hard and graduate from medical school and have good income still have to be poor because it is systemic problem. If my parents were rich, we will have money to pay for school or get low interests rate loans, which means lower/affordable payment. But if you are poor you have no saving, low or no credit score and you get higher interest loans and your payment is higher/unaffordable. So i can not save money for my kids and i can not break the cycle and live the American dream.

Consumer Complaint: I my complaint is with my loan services Navient. In XX/XX/XXXX. I experienced a hardship and found myself homeless. I was living online hotels and shelters with my XXXX year old son. I was having such a difficult time that my loans fell out of deferment. In XXXX I contacted Navient customer service and explained that I was homeless and need to request assistance. I was advised by the representative that I qualified for hardship and that she would retroactive the account status back to the initial time that I was evicted. The representative explained to me that she would send the request to the credit department and that my account would be brought back to current. I was asked to allow 30 days. The next month I checked my credit report and it was still showing the 90 day late status. I called again and was advised again that the credit department will update the status. This never happened. In XX/XX/XXXX. I submitted a good will dispute as advised by the respective to the credit department at Navient. Never received a response. I made several phone calls to Navient about this issue over the past almost 2 years. To no avail. The representatives are not helpful and they do a poor job of communicating and documents. I even uploaded my eviction documents as requested to the portal. I submitted 2 other disputes because I was told that they can not remove the lates payments. They have been servicing my loan since XXXX and my credit report shows several months of no reporting of data. They have never accurately reported the status of my loan. By law according to FCRA. They are required to report complete and accurate data. They have missed 6 months of reporting in most of the years of my loan. I also showing 3 different account numbers being reported on each of the Credit Bureaus, which is a clear violation of FCRA 609. I argued that how can you report a late payment on a hardship, but also not report accuracy each month on my loan? I'm asking that ALL inaccurate and derogatory entries be removed from my credit report IMMEDIATELY!

Consumer Complaint: I've already tried to work with Navient on repaying my student loans.. I'm XXXX sick of them ... they are horrible! I can't afford {$200.00} plus dollars a month for payments. I need my payments lower. They are not trying to work with me!! And why is it that the federal government allows them to take advantage of people trying to repay student loans. I feel like you all want us to live in poverty!!! Come up with a way that allows me to lower my payments!!! This country is absolutely horrible because of the way we are treated over student debt.!! For the record I will always give them a low rating because they don't work with individuals repaying student debt. Student loans were created by XXXX!!

Consumer Complaint: I used to have my student loans serviced through navient. I graduated in 1998 and was unable to pay the amount they wanted monthly. They never offered income driven repayment and kept putting me on forebearance. My {$3000.00} loan is now {$110000.00}. I did make some payments and then consolidated and am now with XXXX. Because they did not tell me about the income based repayment, I am now saddled with a large outstanding amount due to interest collecting. Never did they offer an alternative so that I could pay what I could afford.

However, even with auto pay, I am being charged late fees of close to XXXX dollars every month. j their accounting system should be audited. I have attempted to pay the outstanding fees ( even though they are fraudulent against my account ) but somehow I keep getting fee 's added to my account, monthly. This loan has spanned a 20 plus year payment and yet I keep getting fees charged to my account. I want whoever is allowed to audit my account and that company. XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I graduated from XXXX school in 2008. I had to have my parents co-sign for my student loans because of my credit at the time. I have 7 personal loans, which were taken one at a time. In the past 3 years, Ive never missed a payment or paid late. In fact, I think that over the 10 year life of these loans, only one payment was ever late. That was because our bill pay got set up late. I took forbearance time after I had babies and was on unpaid maternity leave. At this moment, my credit score is XXXX, and I just bought a XXXX house BY MYSELF with XXXX XXXX. But Navient will not remove my co-signers, despite 10 years of payment history. They have determined that my credit is unsatisfactory. The other thing they said was that my debt was too high. Part of the debt is theirs and other student loans ... XXXX school wasnt cheap. Come on. But find me ANY late payment on my credit. There are NONE. In essence, despite 10 years of excellent payment history, they are holding my parents XXXX. I need help getting my parents released from my debt. There is no actual reason to have co-signers on a loan for a XXXX year old who is making payments on time, is gainfully employment ( I have them documentation of employment ), and has been for years.
