Consumer Complaint: I have federal loans serviced through Navient. 4 of the loans are XXXX subsidized loans from my XXXX at Ohio XXXX and 1 is a XXXX PLUS loan from the XXXX XXXX XXXX. They have not delayed payments and have been charging interest all year. I messaged them about this and they first stated that it was due to loans being amortized on a schedule and that I wasn't being charged interest. I followed up later due to a different reason and they stated that the CARES act rules did not apply to my loans because they are not held by the department of education. They were still federal loans that were serviced by Navient so I'm not sure why this would not apply. My main issue is that they have been charging interest since XXXX which adds up to a significant sum and they did charge me 1 late fee which would not be present if CARES Act rules were applied.

Consumer Complaint: I never attended XXXX XXXX XXXX, the loans were originally in my sons name. He was changed from 'Signor to to co Signor ' though they cant produce those documents. Ever since it went to Navient it is laughable. They 'Sallie Mae ' changed myself to student and 'Signor ' Which I never was. Now as a retired man at age XXXX they continually call and send letters ( even after we pay the agreed amount ) and cuts into food, but also still say work with us and add to monthly payments as both my wife and I are retired ( 2 months ago ) she is going through XXXX for CLL and has been and they continue the " Brute Tactics '' Claiming pay more a month! They were completely 'Libel for Predatory loan practices as I was a co-signer but decided I was it because I had a job ' the whole loan should be removed and expunged as I was never a student. They also say well your retired that You know have more money to increase payments and the interest.

Consumer Complaint: It is my third complaint on Navient. Navient has been calling me and emailing me, begging me to talk to them. I didn't want to talk to them because anytime I speak to them, it's always my one after another 's worst experience. They were recently begging in an email, leaving threatening voice mails on my phone, and contacting anyone they think are my relatives, including anyone related to my cosigner. On Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX, they sent me an email that said they got some excellent offers to settle the loan and release my cosigner. After I finally contact them, I got a chance to speak to this lady name Ms. XXXX. Ms. XXXX has also been leaving threatening voice mails on my phone, my cosigner phone, and anyone they think related to me or my cosigner for two weeks. Notice me or my cosigner never gave them anyone 's number for references. I think they buy people 's information illegally online and then start calling them. So, when I finally talk to Ms. XXXX, there was no reasonable offer. The email was a trick to get me on the phone with them. When I refused the unrealistic offer, they made for settlement. She started screaming and yelling on the phone and keep telling me that there will be consequences and they will take my house ( which I don't have ), they will garnish my wages ( which I don't have ). After I told her I was done with her, and I was hanging off, she said, " Okay, wait, talk to my supervisor. A guy came on the phone who was probably the biggest XXXX that I have ever spoken to on the phone in my whole life. He wasted my time for 20 minutes, asking me all kinds of questions, and then started harassing me. He started telling me he will garnish mine and my cosigner wages and take our houses, which none of us has. Navient needs to stop this kind of unrealistic harassment. I am taking XXXX and XXXX medication because of the threats they have been making on my phone, my cosigner phone, and anyone we know whose information they buy online. I have XXXX XXXX because of them. I want to put this on the record that if I end up in a XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX, it will be because of Navient. Today, XX/XX/XXXX XXXX, I got a threatening voicemail from Ms. XXXX on my phone again even though I talked to them yesterday. If they didn't stop and if I didn't end up in a mental hospital or didn't commit suicide because of them. I will be filing a lawsuit against them for defamation, psychological torture, harassment, violation of my privacy, and violating the fair debt collection act. It is almost becoming a joke that the CFPB lets Navient get away with this many illegal activities. I have always mentioned to them that I am recording the conversation and have all the conversations recorded. I will love to see them in court. The number of illegal activities they have done ; in my case, Navient representatives should be in jail for that.

Consumer Complaint: I have XXXX loans issued through the Federal Family Education Loan Program that are held by Navient. I was under the impression that under the CARES Act, these federal loans would be subject to a reduced interest rate ( 0 % ). I have learned today that is not the case as the " owner '' of these loans is Navient Trust, which would technically make my federal loans privately owned and exclude them from the benefits of the CARES Act. I had no say as to who my loans were sold and believe this is a criminal act against the 14+ million students who have been impacted during this especially tragic time. I do not want to pursue a class action lawsuit will feel forced to if this injustice is not addressed.
