Consumer Complaint: The company is Navient. My issue is not that they would call me- I understand that. Actually I had to change my phone number because they harassed me consistently. Now they are harassing my family members. Ive told them twice-both times via email so that I can retain copies of the correspondence to stop contacting my family. Its my understanding they are required to do so once they hear from me. The first time was XX/XX/XXXX- I asked them to stop bothering my XXXX year old mother. The second time was tonight-XX/XX/XXXX after my son got a phone call. I told them I had already warned them I would be reporting them if they continued to contact my family and that was now my intention. They can email me-they can send me letters they dont need to harass my family several times a day. I have not received one letter from this company just constant emails and constant harassment of my family.

Consumer Complaint: My husband and I obtained a home equity loan in XXXX. The funds that we received were to go to Sallie Mae to pay off 2 private loans that in total were about {$11000.00}. Sallie Mae received the funds and were told and it was indicated in the refinance paperwork to pay off one of the private loans totally, which would leave a small balance for the second loan. I anticipated that the refinance would pay off both loans in entirety. I have obtained all of the deed information the amount of the refinance from my counties register of deeds. I am in the process of obtaining the actual settlement statement. I would like to at least get some information because I see class action suits but South Carolina is not included and I have not had a attorney review any of this yet due to finances.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, I attended XXXXXXXX XXXX ( formerly XXXX XXXX XXXX ) in XXXX, Fl. I was informed by someone in admissions that I could not take out a Federal student loan with XXXX XXXX ( now Navient ) because I have exhausted all possible funds and had to apply for a Private student loan through XXXX XXXX. I thought it was odd considering, at the time, I only had about $ XXXX - XXXX in current Federal student loan debt from my XXXX degree in XXXX. But I complied, because I wouldn't have been admitted if I hadn't. I took out a {$10000.00} private loan. Since graduating, I've had a mix of difficult times and going back to school. So the loan has been put on deferment and forbearance along with late payments up until XXXX. In that time, my {$10000.00} loan skyrocketed to {$30000.00}. I have been making good on ALL payments to Navient since XXXX. In 6 years of good payments, the {$30000.00} has been paid down only about {$5000.00} and is now at {$25000.00}. I've been paying mostly interest for 6 years and not expected to pay off the loan until XX/XX/XXXX! When I spoke to the complaint dept at Navient, they confirmed that I should have been able to take out a Federal student loan back in XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Navient took over Sallie Mae in XXXX. I haven't been given credit for XXXX. National Data base system doesn't allow former students./students to retrieve info about their payments. Was told the service provider is supposed to report every payment made toward their Student Loan, which is not the case here for me. I've been XXXX over by Navient for 48 yrs. And they aren't deducting the payments from the Principal, Making sure interest incrues instead!!! Balance is staying the same, even though these crooks take my income tax, SS ck. & garnish wages all to line their pockets, Dept. of Education works with these crooks & turns a blind eye. Basically, keep your credit looking bad & will never be out of debt to their sorry crooked XXXX!!! And want to be wrote off, giving me the credit for all the payments I've made between XXXX. And would like to know I can contact to sue/retrieve my archive payments. And how to find out for sure what paperwork I signed for business college.

Issue: Struggling to repay your loan
Subissue: Problem lowering your monthly payments
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I submitted an Income Driven Payment Plan request to Navient. I am self employed and my incomes has been affected by the Covid 19 Pandemic. I submitted additional income documentation and it was initially rejected due to lack of signature. On XX/XX/XXXX I submitted a second document with my signature and a statement of taxable income along with a bank statement with deposits dating from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I was alerted my monthly payments were to be set at the maximum for the Income Driven Repayment plan. On XX/XX/XXXX my signed statement along with bank deposits were rejected. I immediately resubmitted the documentation with further clarification on XX/XX/XXXX. I have not received any guidance on how to resolve this issue. I contacted customer service on XX/XX/XXXX and was not given any information to resolve the issue. The only option I have been offered is to apply for a 12 month Partial Hardship Period. My income has gone down in the area of {$20000.00} compared to the XXXX Tax return submitted for my income driven repayment plan and have not been given any guidance to further prove my circumstances. I am a single member LLC and have made that clear in my income statement to them.

Consumer Complaint: I've paid $ XXXX on a $ XXXX student loan over the past years with Navient . I still owe $ XXXX. Only $ XXXX of my $ XXXX payments have gone to principle over the years. I submit that I could have taken better steps to consolidate or lower my interest rate over the years, but I was young. It seems like I should be granted some forgiveness at this point, considering i've never missed a payment, have repaid my loan + plenty of interest at this point. Asking for some forgiveness.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: navient is reporting incorrect information about my student loans to the credit bureau since XX/XX/2020. My credit score has dropped almost 200 points from this information. when i contacted Navient they told me theyre not reporting anything and havent since XXXX when my student loans were more than 30 days late. They then told me to contact XXXX XXXX and XXXX directly to see what is going on and they continue to tell me they receive all their information from navient. the issue is every other 2 weeks my credit score drops or comes up because theyre reporting an increase or decrease in the amount of the loan. my student loans are currently covered under the covid act and the other ones are in forbearance so they shouldnt be reporting any type of change because they are current and no payment is required at this time or interest. they also arent showing which loans are decreasing and increasing and the original loan amount is still the same on all the loans listed on my report.. one student loan they report as decreasing in the amount of {$6300.00} then the following weeks increasing the same exact amount. ive spoken to navient 7 different times about this issue and they continue to tell me nothing is being reported. this information on my credit has made me unable to move or get the car ive been trying to get and no one seems to help fix it. my credit score continues to drop after ive tried so hard to rebuild it
