Consumer Complaint: I submitted this complaint already and when I logged in I saw a message that the matter was closed and the company responded. This is not the case. They never responded. I had student loans for my kids with Navient. The interest and repayment did not make sense - and this was confirmed by my accountant. When I made a payment nothing went to principal and my balance kept growing. I refinanced this loan to get away from this usury debt. However, I believe that Navient owes me money due to their incorrect calculations. Before I left Navient I asked for paperwork on how they calculated my interest and they would not give me anything.

Consumer Complaint: Navient has sent several documents to show that they are correct on their side after my loans have been consolidated. I am requesting the information for my loans prior to the consolidation. The information on the Federal Aid site is different what was consolidated. I am requesting detained information on loans from XXXX and interest since on the Federal site has credits that the Navient information does not show. I am trying to identify that difference. Contacted Fed Aid website but was directed to contact Navient. Attached are copies directly from the Fed website which are in question.

Consumer Complaint: Back on XX/XX/XXXX. I ask about being put in a payment plan. Was told my monthly payment would only be {$270.00} a month. I double with the agent on the phone if that amount applies for all three of my loans. My loans are 1-09 XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I check my bank account didnt see no payment come out so I waited until XXXX, XXXX to call and in check to see why my payment wasnt taking out. Ended up making a payment over the phone. About two weeks go by and I received a call saying I havent made a payment. This guy was very aggressive and practically forcing me to make a payment. So I hung up and call to speak to someone else. The other agent and supervisor came on the phone the told my payment was applied wrong and my account is fine. Another two weeks go by and I received a call saying my payment as been reapplied to the correct loan but I still owe a payment of {$270.00}. So they began to explain to me that my third loan ( XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX ) wasnt being paid and I was past due since XX/XX/XXXX to now. So totaling over {$570.00} dollars. So I told the agent I would check my account and call back to set up a payment. Spoke to an agent on XX/XX/XXXX and set up a payment for the third loan XXXX. Ask the agent if I would receive an late payment on my credit report. The agent told me no since I set up the payment and also remove the late fees plus place me in a disaster forbearance program to help bring my account back up to current since I was going through so much confusion. Well I get an email XX/XX/XXXX stating my loan XXXX posted past due on my credit report and now Im minus 77 points. I dont understand how this is my fault when I been give misguided information for the past two months.

Consumer Complaint: I graduated from college in XXXX and in XXXX the school went under and lost their accreditation for doling out high interest rate loans. When the school lost accreditation, I worked with Navient to try and pay this off while clearly struggling with payments to no luck. Hoping someone can help me sort through this! I hate how they will offer absolutely no resolve and instead hot potato you to different departments. I'm so underwater with payments for a school that got punished for these loans, myself getting punished by these loans, and not one ounce of consequences for the loan companies.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2017 I applied for a borrowers defense application due to unlawful practices of Attending XXXX. The communication actually came from the Department of Education in the form of a civil suit concerning the school so i filled out the necessary paperwork on the loans to be included in the suit. The application number is # XXXX and at the time the servicer was Navient. The loans were supposed to be placed in a forbearance with Navient at this time. Instead they released servicing a year later and were reporting the loans as delinquent prompting them to go to a collections agency XXXX XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have done several conference calls with each of these servicers for someone to back date my loans and clear the negative reporting on my credit reports and noone is willing to fix their mistake and are demanding repayment on the loans. The 13 loans under review or in question are as follows : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Please have these loans recalled from the collections agency and all negative reporting removed from my credit report in a timely fashion.

Consumer Complaint: I received my XXXX degree 1998 from XXXX XXXX, funded in full by student loans. Unfortunately, my degree didn't quite prepare me for a future XXXX XXXX XXXX, and I had to take some additional coursework in order to enroll in the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXere in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, again adding to my growing student loan balance. Upon enrolling at XXXX, I was advised that I'd be eligible to apply for Teacher Loan Forgiveness after 5 years of teaching as a Special XXXX in the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am sure you can only imagine my disappointment when I received a notification from Sallie Mae that my application was denied due to the type of loans I had, and the date they were taken. When I received the rejection letter I reached out to Sallie Mae and the Dept of Education and both failed to give any guidance on how to best handle the situation or to help get me on the right payment plan. No one ever suggested that I consolidate my loans into federal loans, and no one explained the type of loans. In fact the Dept of Ed suggested I might qualify for Public Loan Forgiveness which I now know that the type of loans I hold, would have also made me illegible. To add insult to injury I was laid off by the XXXX on two separate occasions. Feeling disenfranchised by the lay-off 's and the loan forgiveness rejection, on top of having two small kids that required me to have stable employment, I left the field. My loans have remained in deferment, accruing more and more interest. The minimum payments have not been affordable and my student loan balance is now greater than our mortgage balance. At this rate, these loans will likely outlive me. I have reached out to Navient who now services my loans on multiple occasions for help with my payment and have received virtually no support. It was only when I reached out to find out why my loans weren't receiving the CARES program benefit of 0 interest that I was told my loan type was not eligible and that I would have to apply for a direct consolidation first ( now adding more interest to the loan ). Out of desperation I reached out to the executive team at Navient explaining my situation in hopes that they might work with me to restructure these loans so that I can begin to pay them off and they did nothing. I also filed a complaint with the office of the Ombudsman but that was closed, only referring me back to Navient. I also emailed XXXX and have not heard back. In addition, I filled out the application for Borrower Defense as I feel I was really misled about the type of loans I have, misled about the promise of loan forgiveness, and about my career potential in the field. Given the dates I received both degrees, I think that I am outside the statute of limitations here. Most recently I discovered that XXXX XXXX owns my loans and I reached out to them to see if they could offer any help in restructuring these loans to help with the accrued interest, given my circumstances. While I understand I took out these loans, I had no say in who owned them. I am really at a loss as to what to do here. Any help would be appreciated.

I am now in my 40s, single mother trying to go back to school to get a good job and I cant because of this student loan that at the time I had no idea was going to haunt me for 20+years. I just want to better my life for my children and I cant.

Consumer Complaint: I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX to XXXX and was swindled like many of the victims of XXXX for-profit schools that stole millions from students. There are STILL ongoing lawsuits around this issue and settlements have already been made as reported by many mainstream sources such as here : XXXX : XXXX the 3 credit bureaus CONSISTENTLY ignore letters around removing these student loans off my credit report on the basis of 1 ) ongoing litigation, 2 ) fraud and 3 ) deferment due to litigation. Navient is a culprit in this issue as well, as they consistently ignore letters and simply BUMP the loans every single year ( literally every 365 days ) into deferment due to numerous reasons, the latest reason being COVID. PLEASE GET THESE FRAUDULENT LOANS OFF MY CREDIT. As the secured party of the debtor of these loans, we will hold all appropriate companies responsible.
