Consumer Complaint: Hello, In response to your previous response to my most recent complaint filed on XX/XX/XXXX, you stated that you have recently settled two lawsuits relative to discharged non-qualified private student loans. You also stated that I was either not apart or not included in any of those lawsuits. Therefore, you stated that I am still obligated to pay on a debt that I have proven beyond a reasonable doubt is in fact a non-qualified private student loan. The lawsuits that are above mentioned either were filed while I was actively in my Chapter XXXX bankruptcy ( i.e. XXXX ) or when I had just received a discharge order, which was at the end of XXXX. At that time, I was unaware that my private student loan was dischargeable. Your response does not change the narrative of my circumstances. You are clearly in violation of current bankruptcy law by continuing to collect on my non-qualified private student loan. I will continue to file complaints every single day if that is what I have to do. I am only asking that you do the right thing and please cease collections on my loan and refund me what I have already paid since XXXX. This is also what the CFPB bulletin regarding unfair billing practices dated XX/XX/XXXX is calling for as well.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX IL XXXX XXXX My loans were in deferment until May along with the rest of the student loan borrowers. As you can see on the Navient statement included, all loans were current through XX/XX/. In XXXX when clarifications became announced I first applied on XX/XX/XXXX and then again on XX/XX/XXXX for consolidation and deferment until the consolidation is approved. As you can see the application on the XXXX and the statement by Navient that NO PAYMENTS ARE DUE UNTIL XX/XX/. On XX/XX/XXXX, you reported me 90 days late on my payment A total shock considering the above and that your own documents show I was current through XX/XX/2023. I need your kindness and help to rectify this please as the downgrade in my credit is now forcing me to close my business and my vendors are all now shutting down my credit with them due to the dramatically lower credit score. This is urgent. Can you please help? If you need additional info, please reach out. Attached is the XX/XX/XXXX, loan modification along with that is also the date of my second request to apply an administrative deferment to allow for time to get this processed. Also included is the Navient statement showing no payments due until XX/XX/2023. I first contacted Navient on XX/XX/XXXX and again on the XXXX as the info from the XXXX did not get to Navient for some reason. Also, this loan likely will qualify for total discharge due to the length of payments on it. I have 15 years of public service but do not qualify for discharge for that since I am a volunteer! PLEASE HELP! You can reach me at XXXX if you have any questions or email me at XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I have been repaying Navient for over 30 years. This loan started when I was under XXXX and I am XXXX now. It cost just under {$9000.00} to pay the balance, which Navient now claims is over {$9000.00}. I told them that I didn't want to be in debt for the rest of my life and although {$9000.00} plus was more than I could afford to repay as a lump sum I would appreciate their considering a smaller amount so that I could put this behind me. They emailed me instead with instructions to repay over {$9000.00} within 10 days, claiming that was as long as the offer was good for. I feel like the federal government shouldn't be in league with XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: For years my daughter has been making payments on a private student loan as well as federal student loans. When the class action settlement " forgave '' her responsibility for the private student loan, she intended to continue making payments due to me being a cosigner and the settlement did not erase my responsibility because I was not part of the class action. I began to receive delinquency letters and my daughter checked with Navient who verbally told her everything was up to date, probably a situation where there was a cross of communication. Finally, I called Navient myself to clear up the confusion and find out what was due and when. I was told the next payment was " due to be debited from my daughter 's checking on XXXX '' as had been for several years. That very afternoon, I received a notification from a credit monitoring service that I had been reported to the credit bureaus as " XXXX days delinquent. '' After talking with someone named XXXX, a " tier XXXX employee, '' at Navient, I immediately paid the past due amount. Today I received a reminder from Navient that I had a payment due, even though we were told it would be debited on XXXX. Obviously, the issue is still not settled! I reached out to Navient in good faith and received conflicting information and I was penalized with a negative credit report. Please see the attached timeline and documents for specifics. I am requesting Navient redact the negative information they sent to the credit bureaus because the confusion was not of my making. I acted in good faith!

Consumer Complaint: Navient Solutions LLC. has been sued Mutiple times over illegal student loan and repayment practices for years! Each and every time this company settles out of court to relieve a portion of the students it has scammed, lied to, misled. The latest lawsuit settled out of court involved the illegal practice of asking students who had filed bankruptcy to continue to pay on " certain '' private loans that should have been discharged leaving out thousands of students who also filed bankruptcy in the past whose loans were not part of this settlement including mine. I filed for bankruptcy twice. My first bankruptcy was due to not being able to pay my private or federal loans. I had to file again, due to Navient 's predatory practices. In XXXX of this year ( XXXX ), I was sent notice by the Department of Education that my Borrower Defense to Repayment application had been approved and that my Federal Student Loans were being discharged because the school I attended, XXXX XXXX, misled students by lying about certain graduation rates and job placement to in order to boost enrollment. My federal student loans were officially discharged XX/XX/XXXX of this year. I owe {$0.00} of the {$970000.00} I owed at the time. Since that time, I asked that my second my bankruptcy case be discharged since I no longer had this loan outstanding. I attended XXXX XXXX between XXXX. In XXXX Navient settled a lawsuit by the CFPB and 39 state AG 's. " The state attorneys general claimed that Navient steered federal student loan borrowers into forbearance rather than directing them to enroll in low-cost repayment plans. As a result, some of these borrowers fell deeper into debt as interest accrued. The lawsuit also alleges that Navient made private loans to students attending for-profit schools and colleges with low graduation rates, even though it knew that a high percentage of those borrowers would be unable to repay the loans Furthermore, the settlement outlined these guidelines as to who saw relief for their predatory loans. " Only private student loans issued by Navient or its predecessor company, XXXX XXXX, are eligible. Borrowers must have attended certain for-profit educational institutions such as Corinthian schools, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and others. The loans must have been disbursed between XXXX and XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXBorrowers must have been behind on payments for at least seven months before XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX In most cases, only loans that are still collectible or being reported to credit bureaus as of XX/XX/XXXXXXXX are eligible Borrowers must live in states covered by the settlement. That includes XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I and thousands of others met all of the above criteria except for being behind 7 months or more because I was in bankruptcy which put my loans in forbearance. Allowing Navient to only settle a small portion student who were scammed into taking out these predatory loans to these predatory " for profit '' schools was not given any relief. It was reported that Navient was a " preferred '' private student loan provider for XXXX and other " for profit '' schools. This is only two of the half dozen lawsuits that Navient has and will face. What do the rest of the students who keep getting left out of all these lawsuits have to do to get relief from this predatory company! I was given these loans to attend XXXX XXXX in XXXX. The original amount was {$40000.00} in one year! That was on top of my Federal Loans I took out. Why did Navient give out so much money in one year! PREDATORY STUDENT LOANS! The amount I am being asked to pay has ballooned to over {$72000.00}. Was this money more than the amount of tuition for one year to attend XXXX on top of what the Department of Education loans were? I think so! When will Navient finally have to account for the rest of us who were given predatory loans during all these lawsuit times?! People who filed Borrow Defense to Repayment Claims of Federal Loans due to being scammed by their schools should also get the same relief of private loans given to attend these predatory schools, especially Navient who was a " preferred '' lender to schools that 39 state AGs allowed Navient to settle loans given to attend over XXXX " for profit '' schools that lied to students to boost enrollment. But not me. Not thousands of others who filed bankruptcy or paid their loans the best they could and will forever be paying until they die. Navient has settled billions of dollars in lawsuits, and yet they and their CEO continue to profit off the backs of students whom they know will never be able to pay these predatory loans. When will it all stop and when will justice be serviced for the rest of us?

Consumer Complaint: Navient is the private student loan company servicing 3 of my loans all of which had a co-borrower on them, they have recently called the co signor for past due payment recently so much that co signor got fed up and said she was not paying them anymore and wanted to know how to stop the calls. Some client from navient and my co signer agreed that if the co signer paid 75 % of the bill in full they would release her from the form and hold me ( primary / borrower ) solely responsible. I was never made aware of this action until after it was complete and to my understanding it takes the borrower ( me ) and the lending company both to agree to let co signer off hook after meeting certain qualifications ( 1 ) being that I can afford the monthly payment and ( 2 ) I have to prove I can do that through W-2 's and other methods and not simply by word of mouth. None of this has happened. I truly feel like they purposely misled my co signer into " settling '' with them and on backend still trying to collect difference from me which seems highly scandalous if not illegal.
