I notified Navient by certified mail that three Tuition Answer Loans that I made with Sallie Mae had been discharged in bankruptcy and demanded that they ( 1 ) remove the accounts from my credit reports and ( 2 ) stop collection activity. I provided Navient copies of the Chapter XXXX Discharge, notice ( Creditor XXXX ) reflecting that my federal loans made with Sallie Mae were held as priority and not discharged but that Sallie Mae 's private loan division did not claim a priority status for the Tuition Answer loans and that they were discharged. ( Audio at XXXX ) 2. I am submitting herewith an audio recording of conversations with a Navient employee who stated she was a supervisor in the private loan division. This audio recording demonstrates that Navient is continuing to make knowingly false reports to the CRAs about three accounts that have been discharged in bankruptcy for over a decade. 3. Three federal circuits have identified these particular loans as not only being dischargeable in bankruptcy, but the courts ' analyses highlight the predatory nature of the loans -- and Navient 's targeting of XXXX college students who are disproportionately students of XXXX and/or students from historically economically disenfranchised groups. 4. I am a law student and on XX/XX/2021, was denied a federal GradPlus loan based solely on Navient 's continued reporting of these Tuition Answer loans on my credit reports.

Consumer Complaint: , I feel I am a victim of predatory lending to through originally XXXX XXXX and now ancient. I attended XXXX XXXX. They violated state law and for profit schools where found guilty of predatory lending. Under the current law they can not garnish or put a lien on personal property or your paycheck. Not only was I protected through a divorce decree to repay with conditions which where violated. But also protected by predatory lending law. The department of education along with XXXX have refused to recognize the law or abide by it. This has left me in financial ruin for 10 years. I've lost out on 2 home purchases, higher rates for loans, mental health and medical bills pop paid by state or federal agencies. It has violated the human trafficking laws of 2000. I have been harassed by federal agencies because of local and family associates involved. My two children who I have legal custody of are concealed and it all boils down to financial abuse of my ex wife XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX refusal to dismiss the loans. I need help and backing in fighting this issue. I can't be the only one

Consumer Complaint: I recently looked back at the life of my student loans with Navient. My complaints are two part : 1. is I let them auto apply my payment, since it would be easy. I discovered that their auto payment process, allocates the majority of my payment to the low interest loans. The high ( 6.8 % ) interest loans were paid {$30.00} a month vs. the low interest ( 2.5 % ) loans of similar amounts had $ XXXX dollars applied to them per month. This equaled a lot more in interest paid each month than there should have been over the last 6-7 years. 2. The second issue is how interest is applied month over month. Many months when larger payments were made, the following month had more interest charged ( as much as $ XXXX more per month in interest ) than the previous month, even though there was less principle to charge interest on. The payments were made ontime every month for the last 7 years. So I don't understand how and why many times interest charges fluctuated by as much as {$50.00}. Over 7 years. {$18000.00} in interest charges were paid out of {$42000.00} paid. With the largest interest rate being 7 %, And many of the loans at 3 % this is ridiculous! That's 50 % interest or an average of 7 % interest per year. Higher than the interest rate on my most expensive loans! And I was paying significant principle payments over those 7 years! I would like a full accounting of where my money went?

Consumer Complaint: Navient is reporting good that Ive been late on my payments during the pandemic when there was a deferment of the payments during the pandemic by the government. Navient has been shady in general but this is XXXX. After an investigation they added even more late payments on instead of removing them. The government has stated no payments are required. I havent had this issue with XXXX, only Navient. Their business practices have been shady at best, but after finding out theyre leaving the student loan business Im not surprised they doubled down on their XXXX business ethics.
