Consumer Complaint: I have contacted Navient multiple times advising them that I had not cosigned on XXXX different loans held by a XXXX XXXX. I have requested the fraud form from them numerus occasions and have still never received such a form. I had contested the items with the credit burros who one of the main three has found enough evidence to remove the reporting to my credit. XXXX is my ex-wife who had asked me at one point to cosign in which I said I would not as all bills were covered and she had federal school loans that covered her schooling. I have advised Navient that I was on Military orders when she signed my name to the first loan and also offered to provide said orders to them proving such. This loan was taken out XXXX in the amount of {$6000.00}. I have also informed them that I filed for divorce from XXXX in XXXX of 2012. Navient also allowed XXXX to open XXXX more loans with me listed yet again as a cosigner. The second loan for {$5000.00} was taken out XXXX, This timeframe I was again on military orders and no way was available to sign any paperwork, this too has been conveyed to Navient with no resolve. The third loan was taken out in the amount of {$5000.00} on XXXX, at this time XXXX was not living at my residence as I had asked her to leave and filed for XXXX. During the XXXX none of these loans were disclosed to me and I had no knowledge of them until years later when I attempted to buy a new vehicle and they said no because of the debts. I have since filed to press charges on her with the Michigan XXXX XXXX and a report has been made. Navient has also been informed of this report and given the report number. Navient still refused to remove me from the loans and also failed to present any loan documents containing my signature. Subsequently I have found out that they allowed XXXX to complete all the loans online and signed a digital signature without asking to provide any of my identification or speaking to me as well. I am not sure where else to turn to have this removed from my credit fully and not be held liable.

Consumer Complaint: I initially received a letter from Navient in XXXX saying they are putting me on a loan deferment even though I had never requested this. I contacted them in XXXX and told them I wanted to continue to pay my loans as scheduled and not be on deferment. They said they would reinstate my on my loan payment plan but now are charging me over {$30.00} dollars more per month ( ~ {$450.00} vs ~ {$420.00} ). My unpaid principal is {$54000.00}, my remaining # of payments is XXXX, and my interest rate is 1.75 %. Based off a loan repayment calculator, my monthly payment should be {$420.00}. This amount is about what I have been paying for the last 18 years! I'm not sure where Navient gets off charging me an extra {$30.00} dollars per month as I've always made my payments on time for the last 18 years. Your help is appreciated. Thank you, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Navient charged a " late payment '' to my credit account during the month of XXXX. I did not receive any prior indication that my loans would resume, considering my federal student loans are still on pause until XXXX of 2022. With Navient no longer servicing student loans, I was unable to find my account during the months of XXXX. It was only in late XX/XX/2022 when I was finally able to find my private student loans. The student loan pause was set to end on XX/XX/2022 ( which was later extended to XXXX ). There is no linear, nor reasonable logic as to why my credit was effected in such a swift manner. As of XX/XX/2022 I paid off {$10000.00} of my private loans- which was my entire balance. Navient sent an email within the same ( see attachment ) day stating, " Your loan will be closed within two Billing Periods from the final payment received date. ". The future of my financial well-being is at stake due to my current credit score being hijacked and delayed by Navient. With the Fed set to increase interest rates at an expected 6 more times this year, my odds of earning a reasonable interest rate on my home is all but lost unless Navient fixes a problem they started.

Consumer Complaint: Navient is reporting incorrect information on my credit report. I filed a dispute with all three credit bureau, and they updated the information to another incorrect date. They first reported that I was late in XXXX of XXXX, I disputed this report with all three credit bureaus, showing that I have an in school deferment. Rather than accepting that they made a mistake, they updated the report to say that I was 90 days late in XX/XX/XXXX. During this time, I was in a COVID/hardship deferment, so there is no way I can be late. I need Navient to stop this shady business practice can correct my credit report. Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I noticed a spike on my credit score and I did an inquiry. On XX/XX/2021, I did a periodic credit report check and found that my student loan account was listed as closed. I'm trying to find out what happened, who reported it as closed to cause the score spike. When I called Navient, they said to me, the account was not closed. I understand that. But what I'm trying to find out, what did Navient or the credit bureau do that caused the credit score spike? Today, when I called XXXX to find out what happened back in XXXX, they couldn't answer my question. Because my student loans were initially XXXX XXXX, I just want to make sure my student loan wasn't one of those account paid off and it's not being reported properly or I wasn't properly informed about the debt being paid off. I wasn't and haven't been satisfised with Navient 's response.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX the IRS informed me I owed taxes from XXXX plus fees and penalties for not updating my 1040 due to a canceled student loan. Since I had no knowledge of any loans being canceled in XXXX as I was attending graduate school at the time, I appealed to the IRS who replied with the usual boilerplate about paying my taxes on time. I tried to contact NAVINET only to be told they only collect medical debt. I contacted the US Dept of Ed who told me I had no loans canceled at this time. It is important to note that I was a victim of the XXXX XXXX breach. I finally reached XXXX XXXX, who I was told got shut down. They gave me a number for XXXX who told me I entered a contract for partial repayment of this private bank loan. Since I recently flied bankruptcy I had searched my records back to XXXX and found no evidence of correspondence with XXXX in XXXX, or ever, actually. So I attempted to file a fraud complaint. This was denied and I was told it was legal for them to have reported the unpaid portion of this debt to the IRS. They said in ANY partial payment in settlement of a debt the unpaid portion is taxable income. This is the first I'm hearing of this. My understanding is as a non - XXXX XXXX loan, it is a commercial loan and should be subject to the same laws as any other bank loan. As such, it has expired as it is way past the statute of limitations in both federal law and Virginia law. The call takers I spoke to were rude and repeatedly tried to change what I said on their recorded line. They refused to help me resolve this problem instead trying to get me to agree to pay the full amount. This is blatant fraud and a violation of the Fair Credit Collections Act or such. I would very much like to see this company shut down or at least penalized for this disgraceful behavior. The loan and the tax debt need to go away.
