Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2022 I requested a copy of my MPN from Navient. I received an illegible copy approximately a week later by mail. I requested another copy of the MPN, this time with specifics that it is clear and legible, as the copy I first received was reduced in size to approximately 70 % of the original XXXX XXXX '' x XXXX ''. In mid XXXX I received another copy identical to the first, reduced in size and illegible. I made a third request in XXXX and, to date, have not received a copy, either blurry or clear.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was already discharged in bankruptcy and is no longer owed
Consumer Complaint: This was a student loan with Navient originally opened by my Ex-husband ( apparently cosigned by me ) in XXXX or so. He died last year and instead of the debt being XXXX during probate it was passed to me. However, I previously declared bankruptcy and was approved for XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX in XXXX. ALL of my personal debt and student loans were subsequently XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and I was granted a XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX. The monitoring period for my discharge ended on XX/XX/XXXX. When I disputed this with Navient in writing, they dismissed me offhand and re-affirmed the debt, decreasing my credit score by XXXXXXXX XXXX since XX/XX/XXXX and ruining my previously Exceptional credit rating of XXXX. Navient has shown a complete disregard of Court Orders and continues to harass, disparage and damage me.

Consumer Complaint: I graduated from college in XXXX. I have a FFEL loan and was awarded a Pell grant. I was waiting to consolidate my privately held loan since we had until XX/XX/XXXX. With the abrupt change I no longer qualify for cancellation. I have a PELL grant and qualify for the forgiveness but an abrupt change in policy took that from me. I made payments during COVID. I feel like this is unfair and students with PELL grants should qualify regardless of who hold the loan. Please amend the XX/XX/XXXX policy change!

Consumer Complaint: Navient Student loan lender has applied late fees to loans while I was in school or while my loans were in forbearance. I have reached out to Navient to fix the loans that it applies to but they only gave me the run around. They have also added more interest then what they should have I had a {$3.00} or XXXX XXXX dollar loan that is now over {$10.00} XXXX dollars. The {$10.00} XXXX dollar amount shows that it was transferred to aidvantage on XX/XX/XXXX but was with Navient a few years back at {$3.00} or {$4.00} XXXX at the time. I asked about this and Navient could not explain either situation. Navient over the years has always added more then just interest and will not fix it. Also to note that {$10.00} XXXX dollar amount that started off lower than that was from XXXX and which is over the amount of time to collect. They put it as if it was a new debt and it is not. They have done several amounts like this that was well over the collection time frame.

Consumer Complaint: I have struggled to make my student loan payments at several times over the life of the loans. When contacting Navient, I have not been given adequate help, but have been met with attitude and incompetence. I have never had a representative go over all the options available to me. Because of this, I have had many years where I was paying money when other options were available. Navient has taken thousands of dollars from me over and above the cost of my original loans, and after all those payments, I still owe {$9000.00} more than the original loan amounts. I paid off a loan yesterday, and my rate increased overnight almost a whole percentage point. However, when I called to speak with a representative, I was told the interest rate was based on the market value, but she could not tell me what the market value was or whether it had increased. However, when the markets tanked several years back, my interest rate was never reduced. I have never received a market reduction, only increases. This seems predatory. Im trying my best, and Navient is also trying their best to make it hard to get out of this debt. Sallie Mae knew what they were doing offering loans to kids who didnt understand what they were signing. They took advantage of kids who wanted to get a degree. Please help me.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX my XXXX and I were advised to jointly consolidate our XXXX and graduate loans. Looking back we recognize we were not fully advised of what this meant and that we would be locked in to the consolidation. I worked in public service for 14 years and have not been able to qualify for XXXX. The root of my complaint is the handling of my Joint/Spousal Consolidation and PSLF qualification. With the recent passing in the House to separate joint consolidated loans we may now be in a situation of not being able to make the deadline of the XXXX waiver on XX/XX/XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Navient Solution LLC was sued recently and I have received a notice about the lawsuit. According to the lawsuit documents, my private loan should be forgiven because my school is on the list of schools who got sued as well. My private student loan that I took out for attending XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX should be forgiven. I have called Navient about this several times and they keep rerouting me and telling me that my forgiveness should be sent via mail. According to the documents I have received from the Attorney General, I should have received a notice about loan forgiveness by XXXX of 2022. I still have not received anything from Navient and calling them is useless. Customer service people at Navient don't have a clue about the lawsuit and keep rerouting me or giving me misinformation. Please look into this issue.
