Consumer Complaint: I called in XX/XX/2022, to let them know that I was struggling making the month of XXXX and the month of XXXX payment. I was advised there as nothing they could do because of my debt/income ratio pass too high. My account was still on autopay therefore on XXXX {$230.00} was taken out my account. I called on XXXX to ask them to take my account off auto pay because they took part of my rent money. XX/XX/2022 required payment is {$400.00} + dollars. I expressed to them that I could not afford that payment, nor the {$230.00}. I have rent, daycare and all my other expenses to take care of. They said all they can do is push back the delinquency if I paid them {$400.00} dollars. I can not afford it and they call me everyday 4x a day. I feel like naivent was very helpful when the class action suit was happening but now it is back to theres nothing I can do, you have to pay

Consumer Complaint: - [ ] From XXXX I attended North Carolina XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX University XXXX As a first time XXXX student my single mother and I were manipulated into signing a promissory note for what we know now to be eight different high interest private student loans. Because my mother was a single parent with not enough income we solicited the help of my uncle who had to co-sign for my loans. We are adamant that North Carolina XXXX & XXXX and XXXX XXXX at the time violated antitrust laws and unfairly limited financial aid awards and forcing my family to only sign up for private loans as opposed to Federal student loans. XXXX XXXX XXXX along with XXXX XXXX used shared methodology to determine financial aid awards without properly weighing mine or my familys ability to re-pay these high interest loans. To date, I am a very dissatisfied customer of Navient and a unhappy graduate of XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am harassed daily to pay loan payments that I can not financially afford. My family members are constantly harassed as well. Navient and XXXX XXXX XXXX has literally destroyed my credit making it impossible for me to afford a normal way of living for myself and my family. My loan amounts has quadrupled since graduating making my total repayment amount nearly {$300000.00}. My co-signer is now retired living on a fixed income and is unable to afford these loans as well. I have struggled to obtain a job in my field of study or even a decent paying job for that matter. I am requesting some attention to this matter as it has caused a strain on my mental state as well as my family. I am currently working with a financial advisor and a lawyer because we are certain that predatory lending is the main cause of this entire ordeal. We are certain that XXXX XXXX XXXX and Navient ( XXXX XXXX ) have violated several antitrust laws.

Consumer Complaint: My previous spousal consolidation loan servicer gave me bad information and made recommendations that have cost us XXXX XXXX XXXX of dollars in compounded interest. I was given bad information about my eligibility for PSLF as the holder of a spousal consolidation loan. Initially, we were encouraged to join the income-based plan because we were told we were eligible for PSLF. This was not true. At the point where I thought we would have been eligible for forgiveness, I was then told that only payments made while both my spouse and myself were both employed full-time in public service could count towards forgiveness. So we were told to remain in the income-based program. This also was not true. When I again tried to apply for PSLF, I was told that we did not have an eligible loan type and that my servicer was not participating in the PSLF program. I was told my loan would be sent to another servicer who was participating. Now Navient is my loan servicer. They have provided the same bad information.

Subissue: Need information about your loan balance or loan terms
Consumer Complaint: Navient is a predatory lender like XXXX XXXX whom they purchased loans from. My ex husband and I were manipulated in XXXX into consolidating our student loans into what is now the defunct and illegal " spousal consolidation loan ''. As of XX/XX/XXXX President Biden signed a law into effect that requires loan servicers to allow those of us trapped in these predatory federal student loans to separate them and consolidate them into DIRECT student loans. To begin this process I called the servicer whom I pay monthly ( Navient ) and where my name, social security number and banking info is all saved online. I was given a nasty attitude by the customer service rep who answered, and was told that I needed to have my ex husband on the phone before she could have " permission '' to speak to me. I explained repeatedly that this is MY loan as well and that all my banking info for payments is saved in their system and that my social security number is attached to the loans. I have NEVER experienced this level of nonsense in all my miserable dealings with Navient and this is the final straw for me. It is VERY clear to me that Navient wants to do whatever they can to ensure that those of us who've been held XXXX by Spousal Consolidation loans are not going to be able to get information from Navient. It is also misogynistic and sick and completely unacceptable for any representative to suggest that a woman can not get information about HER own loan and needs a MAN to be on the phone to verify she can get info about her loan.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I was going to update my income for the year with navient student loans and then President Biden put a pause on payment so I stopped at that point. XXXX sent me a bill anyway for something like {$2000.00} and then in XXXX President Biden put the pause on payment until 2023 and that again send me a different bill for a little over {$1000.00}. There's {$900.00} there for I don't know what reason there's a charge for late fees but it doesn't explain why and in a regular payment of approximately {$14.00} I can't survive at my age of XXXX pay a house along with inflation otherwise I'll have to live on the street. I need an amount that I can pay that makes sense I'm unlimited income I'm already working a part-time job just to try to make ends meet.

Consumer Complaint: My complaint is with NAVIENT. My loan started with Sallie Mae then later NAVIENT. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and Told me to get an XXXX Loan I had to get another loan after XXXX XXXX extended my course curriculum. I didn't have enough to cover the extended courses which they said was required to complete my degree. The courses took six months to complete. They said I could get an XXXX loan to cover the additional expenses which I did in order to complete my courses and graduate. I graduated with a XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX. When I graduated, I owed {$90000.00}. In student loan debt. I was told it would be about {$60000.00}. When I enrolled. I am glad I completed my education, but I don't think I was fairly charged. XXXX used aggressive marketing and high-pressured sales tactics to falsely convince students they will have a successful career. Now Navient is forcing me to pay. The loan was for {$11000.00}. and to date, I have paid them more than {$14000.00}. Navient was sued and court ordered to forgive the loans from predatory for-profit schools but they are not doing that for my loans. According to the class-action law suit " Navient allegedly made these risky subprime loans as an inducement to get schools to use Navient as a preferred lender for highly-profitable federal and prime private loans, without regard. Subissue: Problem lowering your monthly payments
Consumer Complaint: I am behind on my private student loan and have tried numerous times to get my payment lowered. Every time I try Navient fills out a financial statement and at the end I have a negative income to be able to make the monthly payment. Now they are excessively calling me. I have logged 11 phone calls in the past 7 days and I read that in late 2021 there was an amendment to Regulation F of the FDCPA which now prohibits a debt collector from making more than 7 calls in 7 days to a person who owes the debt. I have spoken to XXXX from Navient and she said that Navient was aware of this and was breakling no law.
