Consumer Complaint: Nationstar Mortgage Subject : Foreclosure Process Loan : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Date : XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX AM Dear Nationstar XXXX On XXXX This Morning '' TV Program today, XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, there was news article that directly related to your ongoing dealing with me. I have copied it below. As you know, XXXX, my previous mortgage servicing company in XXXX XXXX, missed sending the first payment to you, and the second was set up online with your mortgage servicing website to draft my checking account, and it did not go through, and finally, as I said previously, my marginal cushion between my SSI payments and the mortgage payment was very small : {$730.00} vs. {$620.00}, and my car broke down several times at the end of XXXX. As I live in an area where a car is necessary, the minimum amount of work possible each of these months, did not allow me to make the full payment for the third month. I have kept up with payments since. I am XXXX XXXX XXXX and I have lived in this house XXXX years, and I want to continue living here. Please pay attention to this as I will send my complaint, including a copy of this, to CFPD, as you, Nationstar, are aggressively sending me into foreclosure. Please consider adding the late payments to the mortgage due. Thank you. Consumer Complaint: I had a XXXX modification that took off {$10000.00} off my loan. I originally bought my house for {$110000.00} now my balance is {$84000.00}. I asked Nationstar to please remove my PMI since I am 75 % into the loan. They originally told me it would be automatically removed XXXX/XXXX/2017 or pay 20 % of the total loan. They are now telling me since I got my home modified XXXX they will not be removing the PMI because that was my original loan not my modification. This is all not making any sense to me. I am not trying to pay anyone to re-appraise my home and I did n't think it should matter. I am NOT delinquent on my loan. All this do n't make sense if I got my loan modified. Modification is suppose to help me afford my home. I 've been in my home for 9 years and I 've been paying a PMI of $ XXXX on my mortgage. Please help I am truly frustrated and I feel the Mortgage company is trying to get over on me. I 've never refinanced my loan just a modification was done.

Consumer Complaint: Nationstar Morgtage needs to be reviewed, monitored and stopped in reference to : 1. Harassing inappropriate communication with mortgage holders. 2. Inappropriate statements being sent to foreclosed mortgage holders. 3. Unwillingness to work with HUD housing counselor - lack of knowledge on how HARP works, how foreclosure works and over all mortgage process for up to date assistance to mortgage holders. Nationstar bought my mortgage in XXXX XXXX and final foreclosure occurred on my property in XXXX XXXX. I was forced into bankruptcy XX/XX/XXXX and the bankruptcy was finalized in XX/XX/XXXX, which canceled my complete mortgage debt bought by Nationstar. Even though my property was foreclosed on in XXXX XXXX and my bankruptcy canceled my mortgage debt ... .Nationstar continues to contact me by phone and letters. There is NO reason for this contact and months after the finalized foreclosure if my property this contact is HARASSMENT! Nationstar is also sending inappropriate, misleading financial statements expecting payment for fees and charges Nationstar has accrued due to the foreclosure of my property. Even though Nationstar calls the statement " Informational '' these fees and charges are NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY - so what right does mortgage companies have for sending out misleading and false statements? " INFORMATIONAL STATEMENTS '' are wrong and must be stopped ... .how much money has mortgage companies gained from knowledgeable highly targeted seniors???? In discussion with housing counselor in WA state I was told to send Nationstar a certified USPS letter telling Nationstar to stop all communication immediately. Nationstar has ignored my letter and has stepped up contact by sending more letter even documents for escrow ... .why????

The XXXX Statement shows an interest rate of 3.50 % through XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and a monthly payment of {$1500.00}. Consumer Complaint: In XXXX XXXX our mortgage was sold to another provider. We were never notified of this change. Our new provider, Nationstar, sent this this information to our old address in another state even though the loan stated our current address. We continued making payments to the old provider who was forwarding our payment to Nationstar without my knowledge. In XXXX XXXX, the old provider stopped forwarding my payments and just cashed my checks. This caused me to be 2 months later with my new mortgage provider who sent me to collections and placed negative information on my credit reports erroneously. An investigation between the two service providers determined that I was never late on my payments and the money was sent to the new provider which brought my account current. However the negative information is still on my credit report and I am having difficulty refinancing my home.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, 2016 I submitted my last mortgage payment in the amount of XXXX sa per statement received by the company. They received my funds and placed it in a suspense account. The mortgage company never advised me as to why the funds were in suspense. they in turn disbursed additional monies to my insurance. They never informed me about this and after several weeks I called them and I made after many phone calls to them they advised me that in error they made these payments from the escrow while my funds were sitting in the suspense account. 3 weeks later the escrow department called me and advised that they could not reverse the payout. They gave me a new amount due for after applying my funds they had in suspense. the amount quoted was XXXX as that 's what they claimed was disburse. Reluctantly, I submitted the XXXX. After several weeks, I called them and asked why I have not received my release of mortgage. They did not know and after several days they advised the XXXX was again sitting in a suspense account. They could not answer as to why. they advised that they will apply the funds and will call me next day. Another week passed by and they did not return the call. I called them on XXXX/XXXX/16 they advised they will look into it. I again called them on XXXX/XXXX/16. they advised they will resolve this this week. When I received my mail that same day, they returned my check advising the amount had gone up to XXXX with no explanation. They had my funds to pay in full however, they are not applying funds thus ruining my credit rating and not advising on the ongoing. This has been going on since XXXX, 2016 and no resolution on there part. they are now making harassing calls to my house threatening foreclosure actions. I have all documentation and bank statements showing checks sent and statements from them for payoff amount which i sent in and they placed in suspense

Consumer Complaint: Nationstar Mortgage has not applied my payments in a timely manner. My Nationstar mortgage statements do not appear to be correct, they do not correctly reflect my unapplied funds balance. Nationstar still continues to charge me late fees with my account being current. Additionally I have emailed Nationstar requesting account information and a detailed transaction history multiple times, to no avail! Nationstar has also illegally applied late payment charges in excess of the 4 % allowed by law and my contract.

Consumer Complaint: Nationstar sent regular monthly letter regarding our monthly interest rate, payment, etc. According to the letter, our interest rate for the following month is staying the same ( XXXX ) however they still raised our principal payment by {$160.00}. How can this be.? The interest rate is the same, our principal balance is being reduced by {$3800.00}, yet they are increasing our payment????? The payment should go down as the principal has gone down. When I called Nationstar to explain the incorrect math, I was told it was based on a calculation that Nationstar made up. It looks like a huge SCAM to me. Mathematically, it is not correct that our principal payment portion would go up {$160.00} when the interest rate has not changed and the principal balance has decreased. I believe Nationstar is scamming me and I would like it investigated. Nationstar can not provide a logical answer. They said they would send my question to their research department, which means, as always, that my question will go into the XXXX Nationstar hole and get buried. In the meantime, they will continue to scam me and all of their mortgage holders. I would like a reasonable answer to this increase. I doubt Nationstar can perovide one because they are scamming me.
