I tried to make payment until loan approved but they do n't allow that. This puts me in the foreclsure process instead of helping. I 'm currently at 7 % when other places are half that rate

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage is currently serviced by Nation Star. My regular monthly payments are {$500.00} per month and Nation Star has imposed {$530.00}, {$530.00} and {$530.00} monthly charges over the last 60 months ( see attached ). Nation Star claims that the increase in the overall escrow is due to an increase in taxes. However, my taxes were reduced from {$860.00} to {$510.00} per month, due to Kentucky Homestead law. My P & I is {$450.00} per month and since my taxes equal {$43.00} per month, therefore my monthly payment should equal {$490.00} per month. Overall, have been overcharged {$34.00} for a sixty month period, which equals a total amount of {$2000.00} overcharged. On XX/XX/2016 Nation Star demanded payment of {$920.00}, even though I have made all of my payments timely each month. Nation Star advised that these funds needed to be paid in order to avoid foreclosure. Nation Star has refused to prove up the math behind the alleged delinquent amounts. The statements that they have issued have not matched the oral amounts listed. Both CFPB mortgage servicing laws and RESPA law require that transparency within accounting be present during mortgage servicing. Nation Star is in violation of both CFPB and RESPA law. Overall, I feel cheated and deceived by Nation Star and I am seeking your assistance on this matter.

Consumer Complaint: After filing over complaints about the way NationStar Mortgage handled a trial mortgage in early 2016, we agreed I would start a new trial mortgage. On XXXX XXXX, 2016 I was mailed a statement with XXXX potential trial payment. I agreed in writing ( as I was instructed ) to the payment of {$550.00}. On XXXX XXXX, 2016, I was sent a different sheet with different options, since the payoff date was in my lifetime on XXXX, I agreed to a different payoff, IN WRITING and mailed it immediately to NationStar. The amount is {$640.00}. On Wednesday, XXXX XXXX, 2016 I tried to call NationStar when I received my statement and it showed my trial payment as {$550.00}. The hours shown to call are up to XXXX ( and I am in the XXXX. ) No one answered the phone in spite of the fact that I called before XXXX. I called four times. I called XXXX XXXX and spoke to XXXX XXXX. He told me I should have called and told them, even though the letter specifically states that I can put the information in writing. Now, he said they have to open a case and send this to a review board. The trial period is in jeopardy because I did exactly what I was supposed to do. XXXX XXXX could not find the second letter for 15 minutes while I was on the phone. He wanted to know why I would even choose the second, higher amount. I told him I wanted to potentially be alive when my house paid off. I 'm XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was told by a woman who dealt with NationStar that it did n't matter what you did, NationStar would find a way to make the trial period not go through even if you did every thing right and I have. I am very concerned at this point. Instead of them contacting me about the mistake they made, I have to call them next week to make sure they fixed their mistake. I am worried once more that they will try to take this house. I have never had so many problems dealing with a mortgage company. XXXX XXXX told me to always just call, never put things in writing. I do n't know how other companies do business, but that makes no sense to me.

Consumer Complaint: Nationstar has Re-acquired my loan from XXXX. Current issue they charged me corporate fees for XXXX to transfer my loan. I had to pay these same corporate fees, when Nationstar acquired my loan. I can not get an explanation as to why I 'm responsible for these fees when I did request these transfers. Old issue that has ruined my credit. When Nationstar acquired my loan from my original lender, XXXX. Nationstar did not honor my mortgage loan agreement. I have made numerous calls to straighten this out with no return call, person no longer handling my loan or some other excuse. I also requested documents on my loan they received from XXXX, which they never sent. I was told once that my loan was Modified. I requested the documents I signed that I agreed, acknowledged to this loan modification. I want these issues addressed and the documents.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX my husband and I came up short on a few mortgage payments, he is in XXXX and was XXXX which was between {$XXXX} and {$XXXX} a month. We decided to start a request for a loan modification through XXXX and were told to stop our payments all together from a XXXX representative and the loan mod would put those payments at the end of our loan when it was rewritten. So we stopped payments, we filed the paperwork for the loan modification XX/XX/XXXX, ever time the package was submitted XXXX would need another document or they would claim to be missing something we had already sent 3-4 times. Finally they had all of our information and documents and said they would have an answer soon. Within the week XXXX said they were no longer in control of our loan that we were now with Nation Star Bank. We had the same issues with Nation Star Bank, we would call and would be on hold for 45 mins or more with now answer or would be hung up on, they would need more information or not receive documents we had sent many times. Finally on XX/XX/XXXX we had an approved loan modification but the modification does not help our situation they are requesting us to pay double paymets for 12 months to get " caught up '' they requested us to accept the offer by XX/XX/XXXX. We sent the accepted offer in to them on XX/XX/XXXX we had to contact them to make sure it was received they made no attempt to contact us, on XX/XX/XXXX my husband called and they again claimed to be missing documents so close to the due date. Today we signed another acceptance and sent it to Nation Star via email and they were already closed when we tried to call to confirm it was received. Again so close to the due date, it really feels like Nation Star and XXXX are trying to make a 22 year XXXX family homeless.

I never discussed loss mitigation option with anyone at Nationstar nor applied for it. I have no idea of what they are talking about. Again, and it is crystal clear that this is their scheme to steer me away from the HAMP Loan Modification I applied for XX/XX/XXXX which Nationstar have been processing before XX/XX/XXXX and even after XX/XX/XXXX when they took it over and is still in progress and is yet to resolved. XXXX XXXX XXXX transferred ownership to law firm of XXXX XXXX XXXX, dba XXXX XXXX XXXX to process foreclosure on the residence. XX/XX/XXXX, I received a DEBT VALIDATION NOTICE from CLEAR XXXX XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX I faxed a DISPUTE to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - Please be advised that I, XXXX XXXX, dispute the validity of the stated {$880000.00} debt or a portion thereof ... Please provide a line item detail [ including the names of all parties, entities that charged fees for services i.e., inspections, maintenance, attorney fees, escrow amounts, etc. and whom received 'corporate advances ' validating the above-stated debt total dating back to XX/XX/XXXX, when NATIONSTAR acquired the debt from XXXX XXXX, to present to me via the address of the property listed above. Consumer Complaint: I have my home financed with Nationstar Mortgage, I am going thru a divorce my wife was awarded the house in the settlement however I had to maintain payments until the divorce was final. I have maintained my payments thru XXXX XXXX after divorce was final my wife was to take responsibility as of XXXX XXXX I have receipts to prove that I am current thru XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. My finance co filed foreclosure on my house stating that I have n't pay'ed payment since XXXX XXXX which is not true. My payments were late due to XXXX from military and going thru a divorce the past year however I still managed to pay my note as of to date have my payment current. I did not pay XXXX payment because my ex-wife was awarded the house in XXXX XXXX she was to pay XXXX payment and get the house refinanced in her name. So basically my complaint is that Nationstar wrongfully started foreclosure proceeding in XXXX XXXX when my payment was current and due for the same month that they put my house into foreclosure. the
