Consumer Complaint: National credit systems came after my husband and me for an alleged debt that we do not recognize or find fair and proceeded to dispute it. we asked for the debt to be verified and validated according to our rights but instead kept receiving documents and a letter stating that this alleged debt was " validated by the original creditor '' which does not provide us with any proof of owing this alleged debt, but instead kept ignoring our request for proper documentations and asked us to provide them with documentations. They also stated in their letter that they would delete or not report any of this to the major credit bureaus while in dispute which was untrue as they did and now our credits are being affected for a debt that has not been validated or verified according to our rights. We have sent all certified mail and kept copies of their response specifically stating that they would delete or revise all reports they might have made to the credit bureaus and instead failed to do so without any written notice. This has caused my husband and me a lot of stress and damage as we were in the process of attempting to purchase a property. This is in clear violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) of the Agency 's failure to follow guidelines for handling disputes. as well as Failing to send us notifications about our credit report.

Consumer Complaint: The National Credit System has sent me several letters in regards to a collection of {$3800.00} that was sold to them by XXXX XXXX XXXX where I was previously renting. I had my legal representative XXXX XXXX from XXXX send a letter to the XXXX to get a Verification of Debt to validate the debt. XXXX did respond with that information. Moving forward my lawyer then sent another letter to the XXXX asking for a settlement offer which the XXXX has failed to respond to. In that letter it was stated that I would be able to settle for {$1600.00} with the exchange of a full release ( Paid to Delete ) XXXX has not responded back to my legal representative. It has been 18 business days with no response, failure to respond to a debt validation letter is a direct violation to my consumer rights. XXXX is now coming in between my personal life where I am unable to move forward and rent/purchase a home due to their lack of cooperativeness.

Consumer Complaint: I never received any notification, by mail or email, or phone of any amount owed to anyone anywhere and now I am seeing a collection on my credit report that is a complete surprise and frankly unsubstantiated. I received a call last week from a debt collector - the first call ever - in regard to an apartment building I used to live in but asked them to call me back since I was in class - they never did. This building never sent me any notice of outstanding payment due and I have no idea what they are even claiming this is for. When I moved out after my lease ended last XXXX, I gave them 30 days ' notice and they said they needed 60. I submitted a formal complaint and never heard back anything. No invoice or bill was ever sent to me. I am only seeing this now on my credit report which is unfair since I was NEVER contacted by the building about an amount owed. How can they do something like this? My phone and email are the same and they have both because they still send me emails from their rental portal about events. Please help, this can not affect my credit score since I was never given an opportunity to resolve this matter with the apartment before they sent this to collections. I am incredibly disappointed and hurt that a building I lived in for a year and paid on time as a perfect tenant would do something like this.

Consumer Complaint: I did not owe this original creditor any money. I gave notice and left my apartment for medical reasons due to a XXXX. They charged without issuing an itemized bill and the collection agency refuses to work with me reporting this to XXXX. They have a monopoly with contracted Apartment Complexes meant to force tenants to pay exorbitant fees when they leave or ruin their chances of finding suitable housing ever again. Someone needs to investigate the relationship that this collection agency has with these companies as it's oppressive to lower-income working XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX refuses to let me dispute this again after disagreeing with the results. I was a recent victim of XXXX XXXX and was displaced. This report keeps me from obtaining safe housing for my family and me. When I disputed, I was further punished by them updating the balance and date of the last activity to prolong the period that this will remain on my credit report against me. This practice needs the end.
