Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, National credit system sent me a validation notice letter regarding a debt owed to their clients the XXXX XXXX XXXX One for {$600.00} account number XXXX and the second for {$7500.00} account number XXXX. The letter stared that I have until XX/XX/XXXX, to dispute all or part of the debt. Please see PDF exhibit 1 and 2. On XXXX I responded by certify mail requesting for a validation letter. Exhibit 1 and 2. According with the tracking number attached they received the letter on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received another letter from national credit system stating that they want to resolve this issue if I pay 50 % of the debt. I responded asking for a validation letter. Please see exhibit 3 and 4. They should receive the letter according with the tracking by XX/XX/XXXX. On XXXX XXXX I got an alert in my credit report that national credit system has reported the accounts as derogatory to the three major bureaus ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX ). The same day I called XXXX, XXXX, XXXX to begin a dispute. The same day I contacted the national credit system to request to remove the mark until the debt has been validated. They said that they have been trying to contact me since XX/XX/XXXX. I never received any letters, phone or electronic message before from the national credit system or their client ( XXXX ) regarding this debt. They were very rude and unprofessional. I was constantly interrupted by the agent, making it impossible to communicate. He took my e-mail address and stared that they will e-mail me a validation letter in 24 hrs. Until this day i have not received any correspondence from them. On XXXX my husband received a letter from them regarding the debt. They stated in the letter that they will soon report this account to the credit bureau if he did not respond asap. Please see Exhibit 5. I want to mention that my husband ( XXXX XXXX ) was never contacted before regarding his debt, never did he receive a validation note, a phone call or an electronic notice. We requested a validation letter. Please see exhibit 5. We did not know about those charges ; we were never contacted by the XXXX XXXX regarding this debt before it went to collection. rented for them for 3 years and we always paid on time. I want to mention that we were approved for a mortgage loan, and we will be closing at the end of XXXX. I am afraid we won't be able to close due to their allegations. Please let us know if you can help us. Thank you so much.

Consumer Complaint: I am filing a complaint because the debt from National Credit Systems Inc ( Account # XXXX ) does not belong to me. I signed the lease with the original creditor, The XXXX at XXXX XXXX, due to me being XXXX at the time. However, I did not provide them with any financial statements ( bank statements, pay stubs etc. ) to hold any accountability for payment. The financial statement attached does not even include my name and it is signed by the apartment manager. This is terribly ruining my changes of finding housing and I was like this is to be investigated. If no financial records show that I am financially responsible for this debt, I would like it to be removed asap.

Consumer Complaint: 15 US Code 1681e states that every consumer reporting agency shall maintain reasonable procedures designed to avoid violations of section 1681c of this title and to limit the furnishing of consumer reports to the purposes listed under section 1681b of this title. I am not satisfied with my previous dispute because I have reason to believe that this company did not follow reasonable procedures when investigating the items that I disputed on my credit report, I believe that the company 's investigation was done by an automated eOscar system which is why the investigation yielded inaccurate and false information 15 US Code 1681i ( Section 5 paragraph A ) states that Treatment of inaccurate or unverifiable information ( A ) In general If, after any reinvestigation under paragraph ( 1 ) of any information disputed by a consumer, an item of the information is found to be inaccurate or incomplete or can not be verified, the consumer reporting agency shall ( i ) PROMPTLY DELETE that item of information from the file of the consumer, or modify that item of information, as appropriate, based on the results of the reinvestigation ; and ( ii ) promptly notify the furnisher of that information that the information has been modified or deleted from the file of the consumer. From my understanding this company could be held liable for willful noncompliance under 15 US Code 1681n especially due to the statutory and actual damages i've suffered. The furnisher of the information is also liable under the FCRA under 15 USC 1681s-b ( 2 ) because they were notified of inaccurate and incomplete information on my report, and a proper reinvestigation was not done because the information is still inaccurate

Consumer Complaint: My fiance and I moved out of our apartment XXXX at the XXXX in XXXX Colorado on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I was notified of a charge in the amount of {$500.00} that was added to our account on XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted XXXX XXXX, the leasing consultant at XXXX at the XXXX, immediately and disputed the charges as the carpet damage was done by previous tenants and was documented when we first moved in. He then wrote off the charges on XX/XX/XXXX. My mother is the XXXX who originally contacted me about the debt collector hassling her, calling her almost every day in regards to the {$500.00} debt that was posted to my account. I contacted the National Debt Collectors office immediately to get more information where I was then harassed, hung up on, and refused clarification. Since then I have sent in the updated ledger and my mail was returned ripped open and the ledger missing. My mother also has sent in the updated ledger and it was returned to her with an upside down stamp stating it was a valid debt, even though the ledger the debt collector has ended on XX/XX/XXXX and does not reflect the write off charge posted XX/XX/XXXX. It is now XX/XX/XXXX and not only is my credit score in the gutters from the false debt, but I am now at risk of eviction due to this false debt being on my renters history. My mother ( my garentor at the time for the previous apartment ) and my fiance 's credit score have also been negatively effected by this false debt.
