Consumer Complaint: National Credit Systems reported in XX/XX/XXXX that I owed XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX {$8200.00}. I contacted them immediately @ XXXX to find out what this was, that I never lived at a XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX. I was then transferred to the collections supervisor XXXX @ ext XXXX. He told me it was an apartment in XXXX NC, I explained that I have never lived in XXXX NC. He provided me with an account # oand told me to go to IdentityTheft.gov and file a report. I did that on XX/XX/XXXX. I sent National Credit Systems twice a copy of my Identity Theft Gov letter, along with my social security card, drivers license, previous divorce paper, new marriage license, and my last three leases to show that I have lived in XXXX since XXXX of XXXX. I called Nation Credit back in XX/XX/XXXX, spoke with XXXX again and asked him the status of this, he told me that they have been in touched with apartment complex and requested a copy of the lease and a copy of my drivers license and was told by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that they did not have this or any file for me. I asked him why then is this on my credit report and he told me that they have 30 days to provide documentation. I explained that me and my husband are trying to purchase a restaurant, he told me he understood. In the beginning of XX/XX/XXXX I called National Credit Systems back, spoke with XXXX again. This time he had an attitude, I told him that my restaurant deal fell through because of this collections on my credit report. I asked him why has it not been removed he told me that they did not receive a police report with my fraud packet. I told him I don't have to file a police report I am and have been in a different state, that the apartment complex can't even provide a lease or a drivers license that this is not right because this debt is not mine. I told him I was going to file a complaint, and he told me OK do that. Please help me this debt is not mine, they know this and will not remove it from my credit report.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report

Subissue: Account information incorrect

Consumer Complaint: To whom this may concern, I received a copy of my credit report with the intention of trying to improve my credit and tighten up my responsibilities. However, I noticed that there were some inaccuracies on the information that I requested. I have noticed that there are Three different companies ( National Credit Systems, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX ) attempting to collect this debt. Also as shown in the pictures, there are inaccurate amounts being reported from these companies. I have read about the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and according to it, by law I have the right to challenge anything is not accurate. Are you familiar with the 15 U.S.C. 1681? I understand that if you can not provide proof, these accounts must be deleted. Well, I want these accounts deleted seeing that they are not 100 % accurate. So, could you please check on this account and get back with me? I saw on a Credit Site and Board where a lawyer said you have 30 days to complete the investigation. Please investigate the following accounts and remove them immediately in the act that anything is missing or not correct. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, XXXX Account : # XXXX, has violated my rights. 15 U.S.C. 1681 Section 602 A. States I have the right to privacy. 15 U.S.C. 1681 Section 604 A. Section 2 : States a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my permission. It is also against the law for creditors to increase the amount of a debt. This account should be deleted immediately.

Issue: False statements or representation

Subissue: Attempted to collect wrong amount

Consumer Complaint: This {$1300.00} debt was randomly added to my credit report ( and my two former roommates credit reports as a shared debt ) 7 months after we ended our 12 month lease with XXXX XXXX XXXX ( apartment complex in which we are former tenants ) in good standing. National Credit Systems ( the collections agency ) added this false collection report to our credit reports and also misspelled my roommates name on the collections report. XXXX XXXX XXXX misspelled the name on the lease and never corrected it after we requested for it to be corrected. As a result the invalid debt collections claim also has an incorrect name on it ( can provide copy of my roommate 's drivers license for proof the name is misspelled on this false debt claim ) - this collections claim is invalid and should be deleted from our credit reports ( the report is listed as a shared responsibility between 3 names. All payments were made to XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX in full and on time. National Credit Systems debt collections report claims the date of first delinquency is XXXX XXXX XXXX This is impossible and incorrect - Ive provided proof that we paid our last month of rent to XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$1500.00} on XX/XX/XXXX ( bank statements and XXXX account statements attached showing that payment was made ). Again, our lease ended on XXXX XXXX XXXX My roommate and I have the record of rent payments made to XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX each month on time ( can provide bank statements for proof of records ). We were never contacted by XXXX XXXX XXXX, only by collections ( National Credit Systems ) in XX/XX/XXXX. Our lease ended with XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. I paid {$970.00} in the form of a cashiers check ( required by XXXX XXXX XXXX ) to XXXX XXXX XXXX for security deposit and prorated rent on XXXX XXXX XXXX ( please see attachment ) of bank statement. We also never received our security deposit back from XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX. We have not even been given a reason as to why this collections debt has been added to our credit reports. Ive attempted numerous times since first receiving a phone call from National Credit Systems ( which my phone registered their calls as Spam Risk, so I received voicemails as I did not answer and when I did call them back, I did not feel comfortable providing them my secure identity information such as my social security number because the claim is invalid ) to resolve the issue by contacting the apartment complex and XXXX XXXX XXXX refuses to return my emails, phone calls and voicemails. They have not contacted me at all since we ended our 12 month lease and our lease ended in good standing with all payments completed. I disputed this invalid collections claim with XXXX and they have deleted it from my credit report. The collections claim should also be deleted from my XXXX and XXXX reports as well. XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX seems to have a history of falsely claiming debt via collections months after a former tenant has ended their lease without contacting the former tenant at all. There is another former tenant that added a complaint on XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX page that claims the same instance occurred with them. XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX has a XXXX XXXX XXXX score of XXXX I submitted a dispute to the XXXX XXXX XXXX and they have confirmed that XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX never responded back to them ( can provide a copy for records ). I believe Ive provided all relevant information regarding why this incorrect/invalid collections claim should be DELETED from my credit report. It should be DELETED from the credit reports of the 3 names listed on this joint, incorrect debt collections report.

Consumer Complaint: I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX several times to indicate I would not be renewing my lease. XXXX XXXX XXXX never responded. An end of lease walk through was never completed. I moved out of the residence per my lease agreement. XXXX XXXX continued to charge me rent after I moved out. XXXX XXXX is also charging me for other erroneous fees they state I incurred AFTER I moved from the residence. I provided XXXX XXXX with documentation showing I moved from the residence per the lease agreement. XXXX XXXX never responded. XXXX XXXX then sent my account to collections. I told the collection agency about all that occurred and provided them with documentation to back up my claims. The collection agency said I didn't provide enough information which I do not agree with. If the documentation was reviewed by the collection agency, they would clearly see I moved from the residence and all my claims against the charges are accurate. After I requested the documents to be reviewed by the collection agency, they contacted me without having reviewed the documentation I provided and stated I needed to begin a payment plan even though I do not owe XXXX XXXX the money they are asking for.

Issue: Written notification about debt

Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt

Consumer Complaint: National Credit Systems and their client have placed a {$500.00} collection on my credit file for a deductible on a bond policy that had paid my previous landlords monies for damages/fees I supposedly incurred due to my leaving. Originally, I was disputing this debt under the notion that it was for damages left in an apartment and potential violation of lease fees, because thats what I was told by the leasing office. This information was not correct. The account manager for National Credit Systems XXXX XXXX XXXX who had previously provided me with incorrect information, updated the reason for the debt to be that of one owed to a Bond Company that was in contract with XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX Once the reasoning behind the debt was clarified ( XX/XX/XXXX ), I explained that I did not leave my apartment with any damages. I have a few clips from my move-out. In addition to this the regional mgr XXXX approving my leave. I had purchased a home and could only break the lease without penalty with his approval. The conditions were to give the official notice, leave the apartment in mint condition/have anything fixed my maintenance prior to the leave, and complete a walk-thru. All those conditions were met. Now I'm being told by NCS that the bond deductible is owned by me due to the apartment complex stating I owed for damages and prorated rent ... .the bond company apparently paid XXXX XXXX XXXX for damages that were completely false. When I asked for the bond company 's direct contact info or to be conference called with them NCS declined my requests. I went to the physical location of the apts, the maintenance mgr XXXX even confirmed to the new owners that nothing was wrong with my apt when I left. The new/old property management offices have neglected to return my calls. The NCS account mgr told me on a recorded line that she's never seen this overturned and that I should just pay what I owe. She told me that there was no way to prove the apts had sent in false info to the bond company. Even with a statement from the maintenance mgr and a vid of my apt she stated that no one ever wins in these scenarios. I abided by all the terms of my early lease termination which is how I was able to leave without penalty. I do not owe this debt and have been blocked and rejected at every turn to fix this injustice. Please help me. There has been no evidence from XXXX XXXX management or the maintenance staff anything other than my leaving the apartment in outstanding condition. Also, I even paid utilities days after I left, and no one reached out to inform me that this was happening from the leasing office. I have attached a screenshot of the timeframe where XXXX approved my request. The video says " exceed '' I was unable to upload it here.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report

Consumer Complaint: National credit systems is inaccurately reporting a collection amount on my report to all 3 credit bureaus. I moved out of an apartment in 2020 due to the loss of my job due to XXXX I was told by the apartment complex that I can pay or quit and if I move out I can pay the lease termination fee. I moved out and provided my forwarding address to make payments. I was never sent any information to make a payment and when ever I called the office to pay, they told me they couldn't speak with me and I would get something in the mail. I never received anything and they reported the payment due on report without any notice or attempt to collect.
