Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Consumer Complaint: I was unaware of a debt until it showed up as a negative report on my credit report. My apartment complex that the debt it supposedly owed to never told us the debt was owed ( {$700.00} ) after moving out or told us when it needed to be paid by. We moved out in XX/XX/2022. Around 5 months later I had not received any notice from the apartment complex the amount was due and was going to be sent to collections. The first I found out about the debt was around XX/XX/2022 when I got a negative report on my credit report as it had been sent to a debt collector. I had not received any type of written notice about the debt being with a debt collector or given the ability to dispute the debt. I still have not heard anything from the debt collector in written form or by phone or email. It has been over a year since I moved out of the apartment. It has now been sent to collections and has greatly impacted my credit score.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX has sent an account for us to collections with National Credit systems. The charges are erroneous and excessive. We have seen numerous changes to the amounts. From {$27000.00}, to XXXX and lastly XXXX. None of these number are correct. We requested a validation of the debt. On XX/XX/2021 a return signature for a letter requesting validation was signed by National Credit systems. It was not returned within 30 days as per the Fair Credit Reporting laws and Debt collection practices. We were not provided timely documentation. Thus, this entry is illegal and was removed from XXXX and XXXX reports. XXXX had yet to remove this fraudulent account.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: I've explained to this company many times that these charges are fraudulent, and my information was compromised by an ex-spouse that is now deceased. The amount of the debt has gone up from the first time ive became notified about it as well, the apartment company seems as though they just want to make money off of me and dont care if it identity theft. I've tried to explain and reason with them but instead received scare tactics and calls with aggressive reps. I've been trying to tell them this debt is inaccurate since 2019 when i was first notified of it.

Issue: Took or threatened to take negative or legal action
Subissue: Threatened or suggested your credit would be damaged
Consumer Complaint: I have communicated with them to see if I could negotiate my debt, but they have refused to come to a settlement and they are forcing me to pay the full amount. Right now, I have financial constraints and their actions have rendered me and my kids homeless. The agent threatened that I will never get this off my credit. Every time credit repair removes it, they put it right back. I think this is a violation of the fair credit act and I need your help.

Consumer Complaint: I have disputed this account several times and National Credit Systems continues to report false information to the CRAs. Litigation will be my next step if this account is not removed from the CRAs. I have provided ample proof to this company that this debt is not valid. The only information they have provided is an invoice from the original creditor that states I did not provide 60 day notice to vacate and also several line items of charges that were paid when rent was paid during the months listed. Tenants were not allowed to carry balances month to month so these charges are false as well as the document. I have submitted my signed copy of the notice to vacate form and XXXX has chosen to ignore the proof that this is not a valid debt.

Consumer Complaint: I moved out of XXXX apartments in XXXX in XXXX of XXXX the property manager sent me an email asking for {$310.00} pro rated move out cost. I submitted payment the very next day. After a month or so I had to email her to ask for any other move out cost including what is the balance that I would get back from my deposit. Then she claimed that she mailed me that information to the same apartment that I moved out from hoping that I had a forwarded mail under USPS. when I signed my move out document, I said I didnt know where I was going to live to please email me any important document. I had to contact a regional manager of hers to claim that she never sent me these documents and on top of that that I would be owing {$1000.00} because of apartment damages when I claimed that I never received notice. She forwarded an email to the regional office that was falsified by adding information that she did not add in the email she sent to me, after many communications back-and-forth with the property management company, they decided to drop any charges because I was able to prove that the damages that were claim were from another unit that I never lived in based on the pictures they added as evidence the pictures did not match my floor plan on top of that I paid and {$970.00} deposit that should cover my damages. They claim that I never paid a deposit although I have the letter requesting a deposit and the two money order that I paid to be able to move. After a year, they send me to collections for a different amount than the one they sent me and I received a year before claiming that I did not pay my prorated rent for the last month, which I also have a receipt I tried to reason with the apartment building up with national credit collection systems, but they denied to receive any evidence claiming that regardless of any evidence I need to pay full amount and before I do this, I wont be able to move Anywhere which is true I was denied a residential application. I have evidence of the payment submitted for the prorate it last month I have evidence of paying my move-in deposit. I have evidence of the wrong amount that they submit it to the credit bureaus comparing the request that they sent to me first to stay amount they reported. And I have evidence of falls, attorney fees that she tried to charge me. I added evidence of the XXXX XXXX disposition showing a different amount and evidence of me providing a good address for important documents but and claim they sent collection documents to a wrong address. When asked for that evidence they denied it. There is a screenshot of the collection.
