Consumer Complaint: This company is attempting to collect a debt that was subject to relief due to COVID protections from the city of XXXX. This out of state agency is unaware of the local laws that lead to the release from the lease here. The original creditor sold their business to another firm which then placed my account in collections, the collections agency will not provide their contact information and has not furnished the original creditors legal contact. I am prepared to take legal action because this has endangered personal financial transactions. For context the original creditors information I have, but the new owner of the leasing company I do not have, and I suspect an email from my attorney would resolve this in minutes.

Consumer Complaint: national credit systems sent letters threatening to report accounts unpaid to XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX if I did not pay a supposed debt. I wrote a letter to them explaining that I have no account with them nor was I a customer, nor have I entered into a contract with them, nor was I aware of any debt due to their company. And that I dispute the validity of the debt. I request verification with the following information to which I am entitled under Title 15 USC 1692 et. seq., the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) : 1 ) Please evidence your authorization under 15 USC 1692 ( e ) and 15 USC 1692 ( f ) in this alleged matter. 2 ) What is your authorization of law for your collection of information? 3 ) What is your authorization of law for your collection of this alleged debt? 4 ) Please evidence your authorization to do business in my state. 5 ) Please evidence proof of the alleged debt, including specifically the alleged contract or other instrument bearing my signature. 6 ) Please show proof to establish balances, payments, interest rate disclosures, etc. as alleged in your demand letter. 7 ) Provide the original application with original or electronic signature. 8 ) Provide full payment history from the original creditor. 9 ) Provide the original agreement that shows you legally own and are legally allowed to collect this alleged debt. Must provide original creditors name and address. I advised that Pursuant to 15 USC 1692g, they have 30 days from receipt of the notice to respond. That their failure to respond, on point, in writing, hand signed, and in a timely manner, would work as a waiver to any and all claims in this matter, and will entitle me to presume that they sent the letter in error and that the matter is closed. I also demanded that they remove any and all accounts reported to all credit bureaus, and stop any and all collection attempts at once. I did not receive any response within 30 calendar days, however, the debt has been reported to all 3 credit agencies as a delinquent debt. Looking at my credit report 90 days later I found that National credit systems had reported a debt of {$4200.00} to XXXX, and XXXX.
