Issue: Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was paid
Consumer Complaint: National Credit Systems reports on my credit report that I owe a balance of {$4100.00}. This was a debt that they took over in XXXX from an apartment complex named XXXX XXXX. National Credit Systems and XXXX XXXX placed a judgement against me for the amount of {$1600.00} in the XXXX of Arizona. This judgement was satisfied through wage garnishment in XXXX. National credit systems refuses to file a satisfaction of judgement or to reflect the collections account as paid, because they believe they are entitled to more money than the judgement was granted for. In communications with them they acknowledge the judgement has been paid but that they want the remaining balance on the collection account paid before they will take any action. This is not right. They already took their case to a judge and received an amount that the judge authorized them to collect. They have collected that amount and are not entitled to anymore.

Issue: Disclosure verification of debt
Subissue: Not given enough info to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: We have been asking national credit systems for multiple years to send us verification of the charges that they are trying to collect. They always say they have the information and will mail it to us. It never comes so a few months later they call again. We have asked them to email or send the information certified mail to make sure we get it. They have told us that their company does not do that. I have disputed this account multiple times to get it off of my credit report and they will not remove it because National Credit Systems keeps reporting it as a delinquent account.

Consumer Complaint: Filed against : National Credit Systems , Inc . XXXX XXXX XXXX GA XXXXComplaint Description : The National Credit Systems , Inc. states that I owe on account # XXXX a total of {$3600.00}. The account in question is from an apartment that had an agreement terminated XX/XX/XXXX. I discovered this debt by checking my credit report and inquiring about it. On my credit it shows as debt owed beginning XX/XX/XXXX, however it should be changed to the correct date of XX/XX/XXXX. No attempt has ever been made to reach me regarding this debt that began XX/XX/XXXX. I had cosigned for an apartment for a friend of mine and was never notified of the failure to pay a debt. The person who rented the apartment, informed the apartment management that she was unable to afford the apartment and that she would be terminating the agreement early. She was told that if she left within three days that she would only be charged the early termination fee of {$2400.00} and no other fees. She left within three days per their agreement and made an arrangement to pay {$100.00} per month until the debt was paid off. In addition to the deposit on the apartment that paid off {$220.00} toward the termination fee, she made one payment of {$100.00} XX/XX/XXXX and did not make payments afterward. Once I found out about my credit score I called National Credit Systems to resolve issue. They state that instead of the {$2400.00} ( minus the {$100.00} payment and the {$220.00} deposit ), we also owe {$1200.00} for less than 60 day notice, pro-rated rent at {$32.00}, {$180.00} for cleaning charges, {$3.00} in damages, and {$19.00} in water/sewage which brings us to a total of {$3900.00} ( minus the {$220.00} deposit ). We should not have to pay the {$1200.00} for not giving 60 days notice as the arrangement with management was to leave within 3 days to avoid these charges, and she met that arrangement. In addition to the complaints, I have contacted this company and was met with extreme hostility. They yell over me when I merely ask questions regarding this debt which is news to me. They hang up on me frequently. They are rude, condescending, and insulting. At this point, when I call them they simply put me on hold until they eventually hang up on me. The company agreed to consider the debt settled at XXXX % ( {$2500.00} ), and yet when I asked for that agreement to be made in writing prior to payment, they refused saying that I must take their oral agreement and nothing else. I do not trust them to keep their agreement without seeing something in writing. To reiterate, I would like National Credit Systems , Inc. to provide to the three credit reporting agencies the actual beginning date of this debt XX/XX/XXXX and not XX/XX/XXXX that they reported previously. I would also like the agreement they made with me at considering this debt settled at XXXX % to be put in writing prior to payment. Desired Resolution : I would like National Credit Systems , Inc. to provide to the XXXX credit reporting agencies the actual beginning date of this debt XX/XX/XXXX and not XX/XX/XXXX that they reported previously. I would also like the agreement they made with me at considering this debt settled at XXXX % to be put in writing prior to payment.

Consumer Complaint: National credit systems has placed a negative on my credit reports, all XXXX and also on my spouse 's credit reports. They are not the originator of the account, the date of origination on the credit reports is XXXX, this is the date they bought the debt. I have requested debt validation many times, they ignore me and do not validate, I requested they remove it, they ignore me. Also the credit reporting agencies do the same. They have re aged the debt to when they bought it.

Consumer Complaint: I lived in XXXX XXXX XXXX for two years and have been having problems with them since before I moved out in the end of XX/XX/XXXX. I paid my rent early more than XXXX time and XXXX of the times they tried to evict me for unpaid rent. I have every rent receipt from them starting from XXXX - XXXX. My car was broken into XXXX times on their property, before I moved out someone broke into my apartment while I was at work, I have police reports for all of these things as well. After my apartment was broken into they put a note on my door saying I owed {$100.00} for unpaid rent. I am on XXXX, so that is why you will see different amounts. But I attached my run down from XXXX, so even if there was unpaid rent due I would NOT owe the full amount. And if I did even owe them a full months rent that would mean I would have had to not pay my rent for more than one month. And if I did n't pay more than one months rent why was I NEVER evicted? Why are they coming after me for the full amount and not charging XXXX XXXX for not paying their portion? Cause it 's a false claim. They sent my name to XXXX collections and I asked them to prove the debt they sent me a bill & I sent them my proof. They left me alone and a year later another collections agency is trying to collect from me. They have reported this to my credit which is effecting me.

Consumer Complaint: I was contacted by phone on XXXX/XXXX/15 by XXXX XXXX with National Credit Systems. She told me that I had a bill from XXXX XXXX that had been turned over to her office for non-payment. I explained that I had moved out of the complex and was not aware of any bill. I requested a copy of the bill be sent to me. XXXX XXXX said she would put it in the mail to me that day and put a hold on the collection account. I received a generic phone message on XXXX/XXXX/15 from XXXX XXXX asking me to call her. I returned her call and left a message. I called again on XXXX/XXXX/15 and got XXXX XXXX, she had no record of our previous conversation. XXXX XXXX said that XXXX XXXX claimed I left over {$1100.00} in damage to the apt . I explained that the apt was left in perfect condition and I had friends who helped me clean it and could confirm the condition. I again requested a copy of the bill, all the charges itemized and photographs of the so called damage. XXXX XXXX said she had a bill with a total and would mail it to me that day but could she get my credit card number and have me make a payment. I told her that I am disputing this bill. She assured me that the account was in dispute and it would not be filed on my credit. I called XXXX XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/15 because I still had not received the bill. She said she would request the bill. I stopped her and asked " What do you mean request the bill? Do n't you have a copy of it? '' XXXX XXXX said that she had requested the bill but never gotten it. XXXX XXXX immediately transferred me to a voice mail box that she claimed was her supervisor. I left a message with my account # and phone #. I was not called back. I left a message on XXXX/XXXX/15 and XXXX/XXXX/15 and have not received a call back or a copy of the bill. I did received a letter from NCS on XXXX/XXXX/15 stating that they were placing this debt on my credit history if I do n't make payment arrangements with them immediately. I filed a complaint with the XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/15. I received a call from XXXX XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/15 in response to my complaint. He said that his office mailed a copy of the bill to me on XXXX/XXXX/15 and he would request another copy be mailed. He was very abrupt and rude. He said my account is still in dispute and nothing will be filed on my credit at this time.
