Consumer Complaint: threatened that my credit will be ruined for seven years and I better have proof that the carpet in the apartment was in good condition if I am disputing. kept asking me for personal information such as my social security number. I already gave a security deposit which was not returned to me also the apartment complex was in the process of making upgrades, as each tenet moved out the carpets were removed and replaced with wood flooring. This is a scam to have past tenets pay for the buildings upgrades. During my time as a tent I never missed a rent payment, even when going without air conditioning on XXXX separate occasions each lasting several days. There was also and issue where Bees began nesting inside of my apartment when I asked the manager for help she hung up on me. the Bees were eventually exterminated. It is not possible to reach anyone above the apartment manager at XXXX, it goes to voicemail and the mailbox is full. Also I was never sent a bill or contacted by anyone that had an outstanding balance before receiving a collections notice.

Consumer Complaint: I have been disputing an account that does not belong to me with National Credit Systems since 2009. The account was removed from my credit with the Credit bureaus. Now, National Credit systems has placed the account that was removed 6 years later back on my credit. I have contacted National credit certified mail just like I did 6 years ago, and still no response back from them. National Credit Systems has never sent me a billing statement, a response letter, or a notice stating my right to dispute. They do not send anything. Instead, they just keep accessing my credit report without my consent. I have never opened an account with National Credit Systems, therefore, it is illegal for them to possess any of my personal information. I have never done business with National Credit Systems, therefore, it should be illegal for them to access my credit file. I did not do business with National Credit Systems, therefore, they have no right to list or continue to list this account that does not belong to me on my credit file.

Consumer Complaint: About a year ago I had to break the lease at my apartment complex, XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX, due to work related issues. This resulted in a balance due on my account which I was unable to pay by the deadline and as a result my account was referred to a debt collector, National Credit Systems. When my account was referred to this debt collector the apartment complex provided them with my contact information. I know this because I have been receiving communications from National Credit Systems for a few months now. Today I received a text message from an ex-boyfriend/friend whom I have n't spoken to in about a year stating an XXXX XXXX called his cell phone and left a message looking for me. Upon calling the number that was left in the message I realized the call had come from National Credit Systems and was in regards to the debt from XXXX XXXX XXXX. Even though this company has ALL of my contact information, they somehow felt the need to reach out to the individual I listed as my emergency contact on my rental application in an attempt to locate me. This not only blew my mind, but was rather confusing to me being that they already have my contact information. The phone number they have for me is in service and always has been and they have contacted me on that number before. The mailing address they have is a good address and they are aware of this because I continue to receive mail from them. I 'm not sure if this is normal practice but when I listed an emergency contact on my rental application I was under the impression that individual would ONLY be contacted in the event of an emergency while I was a resident at the complex. I was not aware that this individual would be subject to receive calls from debt collectors attempting to locate me a year after I vacated the property. I 'm not even sure why the apartment complex provided my emergency contact person 's information to the debt collector in the first place.

Consumer Complaint: I was evicted from my aprtment complex due to my rent going up and me not being able to afford it. I was getting assistance from XXXX company so that I could pay a portion of my rent. My apartments filed against me stating that I owed an amount of about XXXX. I was taken to court and there I filed a paper affadavit since I wasnt able to afford to pay that much. I was told to pay to the clerks office a set amt each time so that I could eventually pay off the debt. Each time that I made a payment I would get a receipt. When the time had come for my final hearing in court, my apartments stated that they sent me a letter and even called me to inform me of the court date. I received the letter of notification in the mail weeks later. I was eventually put out of my apartment and had to move in with my parents. Shortly after this I was contacted by National Credit Systems and was informed of my debt to my apartments. I was totaling over XXXX. I started on a payment plan with the company for {$50.00} a month. Everything was going smoothly until I was charged XXXX one month. I spoke to a supervisor and it was straightened out. I continued to make payments of {$50.00} a month. They were taking out my payments on different days which was n't discussed with me. I was charged XXXX again for {$50.00} and told them that I did n't want to be on monthly billing anymore. I was charged every third and fourth Thursday or at least that when I was supposed to be charged. I started to make payments on my own and got my balance down to just a little over XXXX the balance was XXXX to be exact. I was going to make a payment of {$300.00} around XXXX. They stated that my balance was XXXX. I asked XXXX which is the person that handle my acct. She stated that there were fees added from XXXX. I wanted more clarification on this matter and spoke to her supervisor. she stated that she would do more research and call me back. She didnt return my call. I called back 2 days later and was told that my balance was XXXX. I asked again why the balance was different and was argued with. I am trying to be an honest customer and pay my debt but I refuse to do so if a company wo n't clarify why the amt of the debt increased. I hope that this complaint is researched and I receive a follow up for it very soon. Thank you for your time.

Consumer Complaint: Dear CFPB, On XXXX XXXX, 2015 I contacted National Credit Systems XXXX Inc., and I spoke with representative XXXX XXXX about a debt they Reported to the creditors in the amount of {$1700.00}. I requested a debt settlement offer for {$1000.00}. In which I was denied. XXXX days latter, requested a settlement offer for {$1200.00}. And on the XXXX of XXXX, I was told my offer was denied and they were not accepting any offers, and that the account had to be paid in full by XXXX XXXX, 2015, and if not paid in full by that date the amount owed will increase and the new amount would be reported to the credit bureaus. So, to avoid any more negatives to my creditors I paid the amount in full on XXXX XXXX, 2015. To my astonishment, on XXXX XXXX, I received a letter from XXXX XXXX, stating that they are offering a XXXX percent settlement in the amount of {$880.00}, I was shocked! And hurt to know that they would go to such extreme to be deceptive just to obtain the full amount. However, I would like for the company to honor the 50 percent settlement offer, and return {$880.00} in certified check.
