Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX 2017 I rec eived a phone call from XXXX XXXX wi th National Credit Systems , Inc about alleged money that I owed to XXXX XXXX XXXX Homes. I told her to send me proof in writing to validate the debt. I know under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act that they have 5 days to send me the information. I received the letter yesterday, XXXX XXXX 2017. I t was postmarked XXXX XXXX 2017. Included was an invoice from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX , listing various charges and it was addressed to the apartment that I had moved out of. I never received this original invoice, so I never had the opportunity to dispute or keep it from going to collections. I do n't believe they mailed it because I would have received it since all my mail was forwarded. I tried calling XXXX XXXX after I moved out many times and I never once received a return phone call. They also never tried to call me about anything I owed. my phone number that they had on file did not change. In addition, National Credit Systems failed to prove ownership of this debt.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX ,2017 I was offered a settlement to pay off a collection in the amount XXXX and they would remove this from collection and report it as paid in full. It 's now XXXX XXXX ,2017 so I contacted the credit bureaus and I was told that the company was still reporting it as a collection. I spoke with XXXX XXXX extension # XXXX where she blatantly lied to me telling me they have reported to the bureaus on several time s XX/XX/XXXX , XX/XX/XXXX , XX/XX/XXXX , XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX of 2017 as being paid in full.Once speaking to the bureaus I was told this was incorrect and they are still reporting as unpaid. I called back to speak with the company and was told that since I agreed to a settlement that it 's never gon na say paid after they offered me the settlement stating that it would be updated as paid in full. They are giving out false information and once I called back with these allegations they were very rude and unprofessional

Consumer Complaint: This particular debt was added to my credit report XXXX XXXX . I was unaware of this debt until I started working to rebuild my credit in XXXX when I noticed it for the first time only credit report. I have contacte d National Credit Systems multipl e times to verify this account and have never received a written notice that this debt belongs to me. They have nothing with my signature proving that I went into contract with them, and what they continue to do is remove the account from my credit reports, and then add it back. They continue to open and close this account and place it in various areas of my credit profile. They are harassing me and negatively affecting m y credit score by removing and replacing this same item on my credit profile.

Subissue: Attempted to collect wrong amount
Consumer Complaint: I rented a property from XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX . I left in XXXX XXXX and paid the required early termination about to leave. I received a bill in XXXX for an addition {$240.00} for cleaning. I paid a professional service to clean the property prior to moving out so I wanted to dispute the amount. I called the number on the invoice several times and received no response. I finally looked at the website for managers email and send an email. They responded withi n 24 hou rs. I was advised to go onto a link that they sent me and record my dispute, which I did. I never heard back until today when I received a call from a collections ag ency National Credit Systems that my bill went up to {$600.00} due to electric bills not paid from XXXX and XXXX of XXXX . I advised the agent I moved out of the home XXXX XXXX and my bills are paid current. I ended up paying the bill because they threated to put it on my credit report and I cant afford to jeopardize my credit score. They said because I had questions about the bill they would mark it as disputed and report it to my credit anyway. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they said none were available. I felt like I had no choice and paid the full balance that included an extra for an electric bill from XXXX that I have no idea about. They also called my HR department at my job. I have never ignored a call from my property management company and all my number are valid and working. XXXX has XXXX numbers to reach me ( pers onal cell, work cell and work desk phone ). The collections agency said they had no other number so they called the HR department at my job to give me message. That is ridiculous and wrong. I am completely disappointed with the treatment of both companies ( XXXX and National Credit Systems ). I paid every bill with th em on time and most of the time early. I should not have been treated this way. Now I am out {$600.00} because I was bullied by the agent telling me she would report it to my credit today if I did not pay. The agent I spoke to said that it was going to be in my credit report regardless if I paid or not since I was disputing the amount. She then refused to take my money or give me a supervisor. She transferred me to another agent. I asked that agent if I paid today will it still report to my credit, she said it would not, so I paid the amount. I asked her for a supervisor and she said she was XXXX . I told her that the agent before her said she was another agent, I repeated my question are you a supervisor she said yes I am an ac count manager. I asked for a manager again. She they do n't have managers, I said so you do n't have a boss and there are no supervisor??? She said, ohh yes we have those, but they are not available.

Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from the National Credit System XXXX / XXXX / XXXX in reference to a debt from a apt . c omplex called XXXX XXXX XXXX . that I use to live in. In XXXX XXXX or so I filed a dispute in reference to I think XXXX and some change that I wrote about on my credit report for which I did n't hear anything else about it so I thought this issue was over I had to put a deposit down between XXXX or XXXX and they kept it which was enough to cover the normal wear and tear of a apartment that I lived in for almost 3yrs and I took pictures of the way I left the apartment and I believe they are over charge to get more money and for National Credit to send a letter stating that they would put liens on my property, garnishes wage and take me to court to get more from me and it was in my best interest to contact them. I felt their letter of intent was rude and illegal and I am not sure how companies get away with this behavior but they need be shut down by the federal government and the money they are claiming I owe I do not and it was stated in my explanation on my dispute that I did with my credit report.
