Consumer Complaint: National Credit Systems did not present a contract ( VERIFICATION OF DEBT ) as requested. National Credit Systems -- claimed they will send me verification documents but I have yet to receive anything verifying the debt.Proper verification is a signature and verification that I have a contractual obligation to pay them as the Debt was written as loss to creditor. Unfair practices. ( 2 ) Collecting or attempting to collect from the consumer all or any part of the collection agency 's fee or charge for services rendered, collecting or attempting to collect any interest or other charge, fee or expense incidental to the principal debt unless legally entitled to such fee or charge. ( 5 ) When the collection agency is a debt buyer or acting on behalf of a debt buyer, bringing suit or initiating an arbitration proceeding against the debtor, or otherwise attempting to collect on the debt without ( i ) valid documentation that the debt buyer is the owner of the specific debt instrument or account at issue and ( ii ) reasonable verification of the amount of the debt allegedly owed by the debtor. For purposes of this subdivision, reasonable verification shall include documentation of the name of the original creditor, the name and address of the debtor as appearing on the original creditor 's records, the original consumer account number, a copy of the contract or other document evidencing the consumer debt, and an itemized accounting of the amount claimed to be owed, including all fees and charges.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Information belongs to someone else
Consumer Complaint: National Credit Systems is showing up as a XXXX collection account on my XXXX Credit Report. It was showing on all three of my credit reports but XXXX and XXXX deleted the incorrect information from my reports but this continues to show on my XXXX report. I have disputed this over and over and given all of the information that I have gotten which is not very much. I called National Credit Systems on XX/XX/XXXXat about XXXX while waiting for a doctors appointment spoke to a few people. ended up speaking to Mr. XXXX. He looked every way that he could in his system under my and my wifes social security numbers. He said you are not in our system. Which makes sense because we dont owe any money. We called National Credit Systems again on XX/XX/XXXXand recorded the phone call. They looked up our social security numbers and said you are not in our systems if either of you had ever owed us money you would show up in our system. There is nothing that we can do for you. We disputed with XXXX and they say verified then the next time the added a statement. that is not acceptable. The original creditor listed on the XXXX report is XXXX XXXX in XXXX OH. We did live in those apartments but our lease ended on XX/XX/XXXX. We did not owe them any money when we moved out. In fact they returned our deposit to us. When we called them they said that the company was sold in XXXX and they have no prior records. We applied to get an apartment they told us no because this was on my credit report. National Credit Systems says I dont owe and there is nothing in their system but somehow this was reported to the CRAs. XXXX says verified. We have been fighting to have this incorrect information deleted for over 6 months with no help from National Credit Systems or XXXX. National Credit Systems says they cant help me but from what XXXX Says they reported and verified the collection debt. We have put earnest money down on a house and are scheduled for an appointment with our Mortgage Lender on Friday XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX. And this will affect our getting mortgage and the kind of rates we are offered.

They did not send me anything to give me a chance to dispute before placing on my credit report.
