Consumer Complaint: I got a call from National Credit System Inc. ( XXXX ) about a debt that they were attempting to collect. It was {$120.00} for a cleaning on an apartment I used to live in in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. The problem is, is that we didn't leave the apartment dirty, it was actually cleaned before we left but I can not prove this. The main and pressing issue is though, that I never received back my security deposit, in which this {$120.00} should have been deducted from. The original owners of the apartments sold it to another entity a few months ago, and it is the new entity that has sent it to collections. I am having a hard time trying to prove that we paid a security deposit, because I can't find a copy of the original lease from XX/XX/XXXX toXX/XX/XXXX, nor will they give me a copy of it ( claiming that it was in the files they received, which is a lie ). The collectors ( NCS ) won't give me a copy, and the new apartment landlord says they handed over all their documents and copies to NCS. I'm stuck in the middle because I can't find a copy of the lease to prove we paid a security deposit, and that it was never returned me as required by law and the lease agreement. So if I could get access to the original lease, I can prove that there was a security deposit that the {$120.00} should have been deducted from, with the rest returned to me. The new landlord won't acknowledge that there was a security deposit, even though they forced us to pay a full month 's worth of rent as a security deposit, stated clearly as SECURITY DEPOSIT, not last month 's rent. I need help getting that original lease and help dealing with the collections.

Consumer Complaint: I sent a letter to National Credit System regarding account # XXXX that is listed on my credit report. I requested verification of the account by sending a bill, statement or contract that the debt belonged to me on XX/XX/2018. I just received the letter that I sent to National Credit System back to my address. They did not investigate or read into my dispute request and it has been well over 30 days. Creditor was not able to verify account and by Fair Credit Reporting laws my rights have been violated, I demand that this account be removed from my XXXX credit report immediately.

Consumer Complaint: I have a collection being listed in my consumer credit file under National Credit Systems, for a rental which was paid and not accurate. I have tried repeatedly to get the matter documented and they don't comply yet the bureau will not remove or take my dispute serious. The company has not provided documentation to me nor conducted an investigation in compliance with applicable laws on reporting. I have been struggling just to get them to actually look into this.

Consumer Complaint: In mid-XX/XX/2016, I was sent a credit collection letter for rent payment from multiple credit collection agencies. This was a week since I moved from the property. I received a phone call from XXXX XXXX XXXX, stating that they owned the debt. I notified the representative that her information is incorrect, as I have been already been contacted by two other parties. I kindly asked that NCS send a formal letter showing proof of the debt, with records. This is based upon the FCRA Act. I never received a correspondence. The representative called back less than a week later, where I stated, that everything needs to be in writing, and I have 30 days to reply. On XX/XX/2016, less than 30 days, with no written correspondence. The representative placed the debt on my credit report, without my knowledge. The representative seemed to have taken my request for information and knowledge of the FCRA Act as a personal challenge. This was without providing adequate proof of the said debt, and knowledge of other agencies requesting debt collection. I have disputed the item on credit report. NCS took it off and placed it back in less than 48 hrs. This is unethical and unprofessional.

Consumer Complaint: I was contacted by the national systems in XX/XX/XXXX about a collection on an apartment I shared with a roommate in XXXX. They told me there was a debt of {$2600.00} that was due, I explained to them that I had been signed off the lease in XX/XX/XXXX they told me to send in supporting documents supporting my claim that I was not legally obligated to the debt owed. When I called to ask why my name was on the collection the women Ms.XXXX was very rude and curt with me, She then cut me off when I was trying to ask questions and explain that they simply didn't have updated paperwork. She got upset and hung up the phone on me and when I called back she cursed me out and called me out my name and continued to hang up on me. So I proceeded by sending the documents stating I have an excuted roommate release lease and a statement from the apartment owners as well as a dispute letter per Ms.XXXX request she sent me a letter in the mail with a copy of the previous apartment owners debt request, Which didn't have my name but my old roommates information as I wasnt mentioned at all along with a letter stating that they didn't have any proof to verify my claim. So she proceeded to execute the debt on my credit report. I filed a dispute with the credit bureau stating that I am not obligated to the debt along with the paperwork I sent National Credit Systems Inc. Even though Ms.XXXX had recieved the dispute a week before sending it to my credit report but reported it anyways out of spite. Its illegal to attach a debt to a persons credit report after they have provided documents stating otherwise. As stated above I sent national credit systems Inc. The same paperwork from the apartment complex and a dispute letter from myself along with an excuted roommate release lease prior to the debt in a timely fashion and the debt was still added to my credit report, the paperwork they sent me on the XX/XX/XXXX that had the apartments estimate for the debt did not have my name on the paperwork which I have also previously attached. The apartment ledger that national credit systems sent me from XXXX XXXX did not have my name on it but my previous roommates information only which is why I keep asking them to remove me from the claim seeing that my name wasnt given. I continually tried to explain that they simply didn't have updated paperwork and that I have a fully excuted roommate release from and a signed statement from XXXX XXXX stating that I am not legally obligated to the debt all of which I sent to national credit systems before they out it on my credit report but because ms.XXXX da malicious she ignored the paperwork for my dispute and put it on anyways. It is shady business practice to falsify collections on a credit report after having paperwork stating otherwise. I have sent everything national credit systems has asked and have all the documents stating that this isn't my debt but they refuse to correct their intentional mistake. My credit has suffered an 79 point drop because of their shady business practices.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2018 I sent a certified with return receipt letter to National Credit Systems to Cease and Desist contacting me. I also included a check for the amount of {$490.00} as that is what the ledger states that I owe from the original creditor. I also provided my new address. After a month of not hearing from the company and noticing the check that was sent to them had not been cashed I contacted them directly. They stated that I owed {$4900.00} and that they mailed my check back to me, which I have never gotten back. They now continue to call me repeatedly throughout the week and leave voicemails and I will not answer there calls. This is why I am filing the complaint.

Consumer Complaint: In 2013 I voluntarily terminated a lease agreement for a rental apartment. I was billed for the full remainder of the lease agreement ( approx. {$8000.00} ) Washington State law requires the property owner to mitigate damages by attempting to re-rent the unit, and they may only bill me for the time that the unit was empty. The amount was never adjusted. The property is no longer owned/managed by the same company, and no records have been provided indicating when the property was rented. I have contacted the collections agency multiple times to get the debt adjusted, or even prove the validity of the debt, and they have only ever provided me with the original rental agreement.

Consumer Complaint: Dear Sir/Madam, I moved in to XXXX XXXX Apartment Complex ( https XXXX XXXX ) in XXXX in XX/XX/2017 and since the day I moved in, I had so many issues. I filed official complaint on their website and through emails so many times. I got bedbugs and had small, weird looking bugs all over my room. They were coming in from the sink, windows and they were everywhere. I am extremely clean person and I have XXXX for bugs. I start XXXX as soon as I see a bug. I also have XXXX XXXXXXXX. Maintenance went in to my apartment many times and sprayed and tried to terminate the bugs but they couldn't. It just affected my health as the bug sprays made me XXXX and I kept on having XXXX XXXX. Maintenance manager said as it's an old apartment complex, the pipes are very old and these bugs come in through water pipes and also through A/C filters. It's against human and consumer rights to force me to live in a such a horrible home condition. It's deceiving the consumer with nice pictures of the apartment unit and saying it's luxury and then I faced with the reality. Then I got robbed in my apartment at the end of XXXX. I also filed police report. That apartment complex is a horrible place to live in so I moved out in XXXX. The robbery affected me XXXX as I am a single woman and I could be killed if my dog didn't save my life. I don't owe this awful complex any money but they try to charge me for leaving the apartment and terminating my contract before due date. They're lucky that I didn't sue them. If I knew I'd have so many issues about cleanliness and safety, I wouldn't have moved in in the first place. So they cheated on me, misrepresented the apartment unit then tried to charge me for leaving the apartment to save my life and then sold my account to a collection agency. I would like this apartment complex to be investigated and get penalty as well as the collection agency. Regards, XXXX XXXX
