Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was paid
Consumer Complaint: My husband and I moved out of the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2014. At the time my name was XXXX XXXX last name in now XXXX. We were six months into our lease and we had to move, because my husband was transferred to XXXX Oklahoma for work. We did break our lease, but we paid everything that we owed before we left. After we moved the apartment complex was putting eviction notices on our door ( we have proof of this, someone sent us pictures ). The apartment also had someone move in while the lease was still under our name. We had a lawyer and all. The apartment complex ended up selling the account to a third party collection agency. The XXXX XXXX XXXX ended up being bought out by a different company. They couldn't/ wouldn't even verify the debt when we tried renting another apartment. The apartment complex needs to report to national credit systems that we don't owe the debt. Since we never owed it anyway, and They sold the debt and then sold the company. I've been battling this for 4 years. Our apartment number was XXXX when we lived there. We lived there for 18 months total.

Consumer Complaint: National Credit Systems is reporting a debt owed of {$7700.00} on my XXXX credit report that is not mine. The name they have on the lease document is not mine, yet they insist on adding it to my credit report, I have disputed this account with both XXXX and XXXX who agreed and deleted the account. I have called and written countless letters to remove this account to no avail. My last option now is to have my lawyer sue both them and XXXX to get this removed.

Consumer Complaint: I was asked to vacate my apartment in XX/XX/2015 at XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX because the apartment manager allegedly found items in my apartment that went against the terms of the lease. I was never made aware of what those items were, not was i ever showed the pictures that the apartment manager claimed they took inside of my apartment. All of this was a result of my apartment being burglarized while I was home. I asked to move to a different building for my safety, two managers walked through the apartment with me and I passed an inspection to move out. After that, I was told they did an additional walk through and when asked what was found in my apartment that was causing me to be kicked out of my home, I was told you know whats in your apartment. After vacating the apartment I received a bill with a charge for early termination of lease for approx. {$2000.00}. But I DID NOT TERMINATE MY LEASE. I was asked to vacate within about two weeks for a reason that was never made aware to me. Because of this, I can not get a home of any kind with this amount on my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I have disputed the account with National credit system several times before due to the amount showed due. I contacted the original creditor XXXX at XXXX XXXX, in order to request information on the amount that showed due. I was giving no explanation stated they have had new management so they do not have any documents from XXXX, just to contact National Credit Systems. Once I contacted National credit system I was told the balance was due to damages. I requested proof of damages as well as original lease and statements. I filed another dispute with XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX to validate debt and amount due.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I amassed an outstanding debt of {$3300.00} with my leasing company. It went to National Credit Systems , Inc. for collection. I was contacted via phone in XX/XX/XXXX. Payment arrangements were made and began in XX/XX/XXXX. No written documentation was received concerning verification of said plan at that time nor was any other confirmation sent ; however, payments did begin as scheduled. For some reason, the auto-payments stopped in XXXX and I did not notice until XXXX. At that immediate time, I called NCS to rectify the situation. I was told, after much verbal abuse, that I had been informed the payments would stop after 6 months and that any derogatory reports to credit agencies would not be removed. Keep in mind that NO written notification was sent NOR any voicemail left to continue or restart payments. At this time, in XX/XX/XXXX, I disputed this. Then, in XX/XX/XXXX, I requested a copy of the phone transcript which would prove either my stance or theirs ( NCS ). NCS refused. Those derogatory reports have negatively affected my life and I strongly believe if such reports are going to be made and defended, documented proof must be provided to the consumer, i.e. phone transcripts.

XXXX have investigated this account and they concluded the account was not matching my records of being assigned to me. I would like proof these accounts were disputed per FCRA/ FDCPA. This is causing me anguish and its slandering my good name. Please block this account from my report so I can breathe again.

Consumer Complaint: National Credit System continues to ignore my request for debt validation. They have not responded and the items must be removed from my credit report of alleged debt of {$1100.00} ans {$520.00}. The information appearing on my credit report is inaccurate and is damaging my character, credibility, or ability to obtain credit, I am now seeking Injunctive Relief through the courts. This is poor reporting practices of " obsolete, inaccurate, irrelevant, outdated, misidentifying, incomplete, incorrect, erroneous, and misleading '' information on my credit report. Consumer Complaint: I just recently submitted a dispute to XXXX Credit Bureau on XX/XX/XXXX. They have just notified me on XX/XX/XXXX that the dispute has been updated and the results are to stay the same. National Credit Systems ( a collection agency ) has been negatively reporting on my credit a balance of {$2200.00} since XX/XX/XXXX of XX/XX/XXXX. I have made numerous attempts to remove this false report since then which includes : contacting the realty company that initially sent the debt to National Credit Systems, contacting the collection agency via phone and by mail, and several disputes with my credit bureau. National Credit Systems and the realty company is claiming that I did not provide sufficient notice of my move out date. I have provided sufficient evidence showing that a notice was provided and that all fees were paid prior to move out date, however, this claim keeps getting rejected. Due to this false claim, I was forced to move into second chance leasing where I have encountered several dangerous situations and it is preventing me and my family from being in a safer neighborhood.
