Consumer Complaint: The collections company refuses to honor a letter direct from the company clarifying that there was never a debt on my account associated with my social security number. I had a perfect payment history. I've never had any debts go to collections and I am adamant about strong credit history. This error is false and incorrect.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I moved into an apartment at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. It was in the lease that if I moved out before a year there would be x amount of charges to be paid to end the lease dependent upon the date of termination. In XX/XX/XXXX I received an opportunity to move into a much larger home for the same price. I contacted the office and set an appointment to speak with someone about terminating the lease early. We met and agreed upon prorated rent for XXXX of XXXX plus 2 additional months rent to meet 75 % of the payments agreed in the lease. I purchased a money order for XXXX and agreed to be out by XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX, the locks were changed with a good portion of my belongings still in the apartment. These items were extra clothes, cleaning supplies, food, and home decor. I went to the apartment after hours so I left a voicemail. The message said I would receive a response within 2 business days. I worked the hours that they were open for business. On XX/XX/XXXX, the third business day, I called the office to see what was going on since I had agreed to have my stuff out on the XXXX. The woman said the office manager had to handle it and she was out of the office but she assured me I would get a call by the end of the day. I never did. I called off work for the morning of XX/XX/XXXX to go to the office. The manager was not there again. However the wan who was working said the manager left a message that we had only agreed to be there until XX/XX/XXXX and that we also had to pay the remaining 25 % rent as well as the locksmith fees. I asked for a master 's number or the corporate location information. I was told that information isn't allowed to be given out and the only way to receive my belongings was to pay {$3000.00}. At the time, I had just started a new job a was still settling into my new home. I took the nelomgomgs as a loss since they were necessities and decided to pursue the issue on a corporate level. Calls went unreturned, I was bounced between voicemails, emails, and points of contact that were supposedly in charge of " those issues ''. Eventually, I received a call from a secretary with an out of state zip code that informed me that the debt had been sold to a collection agency and it was out of their hands. National Credit Systems placed a collection account on my credit for {$3300.00} in XXXX of XXXX. I contacted the collection agency directly to inform them of the situation. They stated there was nothing that could be done besides paying the balance in full or settling on payments or a different lump sum amount. If o chose the latter there would still be a derogatory mark on my credit on all 3 credit bureaus. I have been disputing this with the collection agency since then to no avail. I have contacted lawyers who said it was civil and I could pay out of pocket to go to court, but that hasn't been something I am able to afford time or money to as of yet. The most recent lawyer directed me to the XXXX to file a complaint on the company as well as the collection agency I'm regards to the false debt and the actions of the company. I strongly believe they treated me the way they did solely due to my age. I was young, naive, and vulnerable and they manipulated this to their benefit. This has caused long term problems for me in many different ways.

Consumer Complaint: I rented an apartment with XXXX XXXX for me and my two sons. Unfortunately I had to break the lease to go into the hospital for a XXXX condition. I was experiencing XXXX XXXX weekly. My medical condition was highly public and I have even been on the news for my XXXX condition. I made the leasing office fully aware that I was going into the hospital long term, and would not be able to continue leasing the apartment. They are now charging me with rent for the remainder of my lease, for months I didn't even love there, as well as tacking on trumped up charges for damages, when there WERE NO DAMAGES to that apartment made by me. The apartment was left in the same condition we found it in. Now I have over {$3000.00} worth of debt on my credit for this apartment. This is highly unfair, I can not control my health. This company is simply going after me for the money without any compassion. I have been completely absolved of my federal student loans because of my XXXX, but these leasing agency refuses to let the balance go, or at least lower it some and work out a settlement offer.

Consumer Complaint: I received a bill statement in the amount of {$610.00} that is not my debt. I do not owe any money and have never heard of your company. I take my credit serious and do not appreciate your company placing inaccurate information on my report. A bill statement is not validation and the signature is not my signature. Unless you can provide me a legal document with my signature stating I agreed to this debt I demand you remove this information from my credit report immediately. If I do not receive a letter from your company within 15 days confirming this has been closed in your office and you notified the credit bureau 's to delete this information I will file a complaint with XXXX and all needed to resolve this matter.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2018 - my apartment was subleased out. XX/XX/2018 - the subleasee left one month early without paying the rent. No notice or anything from apartment complex. When I saw it on my credit, months later. The apartment complex said that the collection has been already sold, and there was nothing they could do to remove this anymore so I would have to dispute it. I have tried to dispute it three times, and Im not sure if Im technically legally responsible still or what the case is. I cant get an apartment until this is paid off. I called the collection company in hopes I can at least negotiate it or make payments. After two days of attempting to reach the representative that Im assigned to with no luck, I went online to make a {$50.00} payment - thinking I could at least do my own payment plan by myself. After no email or anything regarding my payment, I figured I would try calling one last time. I surprisingly got a hold of my representative. Weird, she couldnt return any of my voicemails but okay. I told her I didnt receive a copy of my receipt and she told me it isnt in their policy to do so. Im extremely uncomfortable paying {$1000.00} to company who doesnt even give proof of payment. Nor do I even know if Im even legally responsible.
