Consumer Complaint: the debt was a result of identity theft. after contacting the company by mail on numerous occasions I've decided to pay the debt off completely. the company sent me a letter stating my debt has been satisfied and I have no obligation relating to this account. The collection is still showing on my credit file. I contacted the company and spoke with Rep XXXX who was very rude and refused to help me to remove the collection from my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I signed a stipulation with the county court for an eviction. I had to be out by XX/XX/2020 as a stipulation. The eviction was NOT for non-payment. My lease was signed until XX/XX/2020. I signed the stipulation unaware that without prejudice meant they can sue me for money owed until the end of my lease term. I thought it was suppose to cease further actions if I signed. That was not the case. I found out after reviewing my credit report that National Credit System Inc. Reported I owed XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX , the apartment ( student housing ) I accepted the stipulation for, {$5200.00}. This balance is for rent up until XX/XX/2020, when my lease was suppose to end. I left XX/XX/2020. My room was rerented sometime in XXXX, according to my old roommate who still resides in one of the rooms and I called the XXXX and they did say it was rented. I contacted the collection agency, National Credit Systems Inc to dispute the accuracy but I am not sure what they did or what they are going to do about my complaint. I was told by Colorado Housing Authority that they can only charge me for the time the unit was vacant and once it was rented the balance I owe should reflect that. They are double dipping and it is illegal. I want the whole debt deleted from my credit report and the debt dismissed due to these issues.

After going back and forth for a year with the company. They finally gave me a move out statement. The amount the company is saying i owe is incorrect. I need this fixed.

Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: After contacting the CFPB ; National credit system sent me a identity theft affidavit to fill out & asked for my ID. I have filled out the affidavit and have my ID on hand. When I called to speak with the person over my case to see WHERE I send it to, he hung up on me. I dont have money or a way to mail them the paperwork they asked for. Just like the sent it electronically I need to send it back electronically. I dont have funds to go buy stamps and envelopes. Which is why I am doing it all online. They also asked for a Notarized signature and idk what that is and if its something I have to PAY for to get, I cant do that either. So I will be attaching my ID, the identity affidavit & my report from the FTC. So unless they have a way for me to send all this info for free via paper mail and a way for me to get whatever they want notarized done for free ; Im not able to do it. The FTC accepted my identity theft report. I am sending what I have.

Consumer Complaint: I terminated my lease with XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. I gave notice of the termination in XX/XX/XXXX. I did everything I needed to do to terminate my lease. I gave a notice and signed a termination of lease document. I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX to get a copy of the termination of lease document, to send to the credit bureaus. However, I wasnt able to get a copy of the document because I was told by the regional manager that he couldnt find my file and I would have to wait till further notice. I have documents proving that I paid the final two months that I was at the XXXX XXXX XXXX and the final statement for the light bill.

Consumer Complaint: Amount XXXX From National Credit Systems account number XXXX, collection representative is XXXX XXXX, office located in XXXX, XXXX My husband and I lived at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX , because of many people experiencing issues and added on expenses from rental properties, we decided to take many pictures and videos of the apartment when moving out. This apartment was spotless, the collection agency and Mr XXXX will not allow me to send the pictures of the apartment, nor will he call me back. he will not supply email information. I left messages on his voicemail and I am quite sure they will use the Coronavirus as an excuse but I tried previously and again, nothing. I want this amount removed and this also removed from my credit report. I need the last payment that I made and will attempt to get that from my bank, the property stated we only paid until XX/XX/XXXX but when we moved from XXXX back to XXXX we changed our banking information. So if we owe anything, it's XXXX or so. There is no doubt from my videos this is the apartment we lived in because I also took videos from different angles and from the window

Consumer Complaint: Upon reviewing my credit I noticed I had a collection account from XXXX XXXX XXXX that did not belong to me. I tried reaching out to the rental company that it said I owed XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX but they are no longer in service. So I then called the collections agency and asked what can I do to prove it wasnt me. He said & I quote, Nothing. Because it was you. So you need to pay it. I told him that in fact it was NOT me and the address had already been proven to be false ( XXXX removed the address belonging to the apartment due to fraud ). He then said, I have proof here that it was you. I have your signature. I asked, Okay & what do you have to compare it to? Cause it wasnt me. He then said, Seems like you got it all figured out & hung up on me. Ive never lived at the address from the apartment complex. Which is why XXXX removed it. XXXX even completely removed the collections account DUE TO FRAUD. At this point I dont know what else to do. Ive never lived at those apartments and the National Credit System people are not trying to work with me to prove to them that the account doesnt belong to me. He literally told me no matter how hard I fight it or what I do, they wont remove it.

Consumer Complaint: I moved into XXXX XXXX XXXX managed by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/2019. An incident occurred at my apartment with a guest and I was asked to move out the apartment complex. I was there 30 days exact. I was told that if I just left that I wouldnt owe anything and that they wouldnt file for eviction. I moved and didnt hear from them. I called to inquire about my security deposit and they told me I should receive something by mail to the address I provided. I didnt hear from them for months. One day I go to check my credit and it says I owed a debt to XXXX XXXX. I hadnt received anything saying I owed anything and being I moved out of the apartment I shouldnt have owed them money. They charged me for a month and a half rent I didnt occupy the apartment they charged me for carpet cleaning to undamaged carpet they took back a special they provided to me at move in and they also charged me to remove a dresser I left and said they would move it at no cost. I never re wives notice of any of this until I called the collection agency they sent the debt to. I called national credit systems numerous times and was never able to get any information from XXXX XXXX which was the woman assigned to my case. After not getting anyway I contacted legal aid to step in to help me. I havent got any help to solve this matter or settle it. I feel this management company is trying to get me out of money I do not owe to them.
