Consumer Complaint: Recently pulled my three credit bureau reports in anticipation of a home purchase and got a surprise with an unknown collection account on XXXX. I have no knowledge of this account and have not been contacted as required under the FDCPA. XXXX has had this on my report before and I've had to have it removed again and again.

Consumer Complaint: I have a loan with XXXX XXXX, NATLCRSYS ( Original Creditor : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ), and XXXX ( Original Creditor : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ). I have always made my payments on time. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record with this company. I tried contacting XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, NATLCRSYS ( Original Creditor : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ), and XXXX ( Original Creditor : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) with no successful resolution. There was definitely an error on their part.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed

Subissue: Debt is not yours

Consumer Complaint: Have made multiple attempts to resolve this matter with the company in which they have refused on multiple occasions my request for debt validation and proof of claim on the debt they say I owe another company. I have sent multiple certified mailings requesting debt validation and proof of claim. In which they all received. The last request has been made by phone with a representative by the name of XXXX XXXX in which I was transferred to the supervisor to process my request in which I was hung up on. They have intentionally avoided communications with me and have refused to remove the debt from my credit report during the dispute process and follow the laws for debt collection. This one account has seriously damaged my credit report because of their illegal and unethical business practices.

Issue: Written notification about debt

Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt

Consumer Complaint: I have called this company numerous of times about this debt not being mine they sent me three fraud packets and i sent all three but they stated that they never received two of the packets which i know was a lie. Then in XX/XX/2020 they did receive the third packet I sent. in XX/XX/2020 i got an email stating that the debt was valid but they didnt send the information I requested at all. While going through this I was speaking with XXXX XXXX who tried her hardest to help me she transferred me to a supervisor Back in XXXX I left a voicemail and never got a call back. Then i called again to ask to speak to the supervisor again and the gentlemen told me that no one can help me and i need to pay the debt i asked why was the information that i requested wasnt sent he stated that they are not required to send that information. I hope that phone call was recorded because those was his exact words to me. I filed a identity theft report with FTC sent over everything that was requested police report photo id. Now i asked them to validate the debt back in XXXX and they didnt respond at all and here it is XX/XX/2020 and still havent gotten the information. I want them to stop collections and remove this off my credit report I AM A VICTIM OF IDENTITY THEFT and they dont seem to care about that. Now i know its past the 30 days from the information i requested from them and they have to remove this because they were not in compliance at all.

Consumer Complaint: I was renting an apartment with XXXX apartments in 2015 and had a overdue balance of {$1200.00}. Due to the manager not accepting my full payment to clear the balance, my account was sold to an collection agency for a much higher amount then what i originally owed. From this company 's sending me to collection, this has damaged my credit score and has hurt me tremendously financially. The outcome I would like from this is to have this account removed from my credit. When I've offered to pay the original amount with the collection agency, they did not accept my payment to satisfy my account. instead they put it on my credit with a balance of {$2000.00}.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report

Consumer Complaint: I terminated a lease with XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX prior to its expiration in XXXX of XXXX. From the outset, they have ascertained that I owe them an amount slightly over XXXX XXXX dollars, which constitutes in material part both a liquidated damages amount and a penalty for failure to provide sixty-days notice to vacate. Both of these amounts attempt to recover for the property owner in the event of the tenant 's breach, however, seeking to recover both constitutes a " double recovery for single harm '' which is forbidden under Colorado Court Rule. Further, a charge of XXXX dollars, when actual damages sustained by my breach are only XXXX and XXXX dollars clearly identifies this contract provision as a penalty, as it has no correlation to actual damages nor does it constitute any accurate speculation at what actual damages may be. Penalties in contracts are federally unenforceable under the Uniform Commerce Code. Moreover, as of XX/XX/XXXX, the debts in debate here pass Colorado 's three-year statute of limitations on contractual debts. As such, while there may remain legitimate actual damages, the material portion of the stated debt is no longer enforceable in court outside of my previously stated objections. I have attempted on numerous occasions to argue the validity of this debt with both XXXX XXXX XXXX and their assigned collection agency National Credit Systems. I have exercised the dispute process both internally and with all three major credit monitoring bureaus to no avail. A discussion with senior management at National Credit Systems ended with the suggestion that I seek legal action because they have no intent on validating my claims, and no credit bureau will support me without judgment or court order. This debt as reported has always been a violation of FCRA and FDCPA regulations against reporting debts that are not legally supported by the organizing document or enforceable by law. I have always been willing to pay the legitimate portion of my debt and would have been willing to do so without creditor intervention, but XXXX XXXX XXXX has never given me that chance.

Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX. What happened is a collection agency named National Credit System located in XXXX, Georgia is erroneously reporting me as a collection account, firstly, to XXXX XXXX XXXX and more recently to the XXXX XXXX XXXX. Also, I had requested that National Credit System not call me, however, I still received a call and a letter from National Credit System recently through their partner, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, who used a ( XXXX ) telephone number to show up on my caller I.D . but the call actually was made from Georgia with a ( XXXX ) telephone number. Here is a summary of the illegal experience I am having with National Credit System ; this is just a collection agency scam for money not owed. Last year, I lived at an apartment complex named, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, GA XXXX. The apartment I rented is at : XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, GA XXXX. My lease was for 13 months. I moved out on XX/XX/XXXX. I stayed there for the entire lease, gave a proper 30 day notice via email and paid about {$500.00} extra money to go on the month to month lease on my last month living there, since I did not want to sign another year long lease. The day I moved out, I handed the keys to one of the maintenance crew. About an hour after I left for good, XXXX XXXX, the Assistant Manager, emailed me asking if I were moved out of the apartment. I said, " yes ''. So, around XXXX of this year, XXXX, about when the Covid 19 pandemic began, I received a telephone call from a bill collector in XXXX stating I owed approximately {$1600.00} to XXXX XXXX XXXX. I informed the bill collector that I was all paid up at XXXX XXXX XXXX. After all, even after I moved out, XXXX XXXX XXXX never sent a statement of owing or any type of bill to me. I received nothing from XXXX XXXX XXXX in terms of a bill. My address was forwarded through USPS, my email stayed the same and my telephone number has not changed. The State of Georgia allows five days for a landlord to claim a renter owes money after the lease is over and the tenant has moved out. I never received any communication about an outstanding bill from XXXX XXXX XXXX. A few times I tried to call XXXX XXXX, the apartment complex 's assistant manager but I was constantly being told she was out to lunch whenever I called to speak to her about this problem. A few weeks ago, I applied to rent an apartment here in XXXX XXXX where I now reside. I was told I am denied because I am on the " XXXX XXXX '' for a collection for {$1000.00} from a previous apartment I lived at. Upon calling and checking my XXXX XXXX XXXX report, I was told that National Credit System is currently reporting me as owing XXXX XXXX XXXX approximately {$1000.00} in a collection status. A XXXX search on National Credit System reveals this so called " collection agency '' has over 300 plus consumer complaints through the XXXX XXXX XXXX. At that point I had no idea about why I owed any money to XXXX XXXX XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a call from someone named, Mr. XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX stating the apartment complex, XXXX XXXX XXXX had removed the collection account from National Credit System and has now placed the same collection with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Mr. XXXX told me if I paid he would remove the collection from the credit bureaus. So, at this point, I asked Mr. XXXX, why I owed money to XXXX XXXX XXXX and to account for the amount of {$1000.00}. Mr. XXXX said I owed {$85.00} in rent and {$940.00} for not giving XXXX XXXX XXXX a 60 day notice to vacate. However, my lease stated I only needed to provide a 30 day notice, which I did. I asked for their company 's address. He said their address is : XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, GA XXXX. He said their telephone number is ( XXXX ) XXXX. However, the caller I.D . on my cell phone showed a California number of XXXX. After I kept asking questions, Mr. XXXX threatened a new collection action and hung up the telephone on me. However, right before I received Mr. XXXX ' phone call, XXXX XXXX XXXX assistant manager, XXXX XXXX emailed me stating I should contact National Credit System for more information. Up until that point, XXXX XXXX kept refusing to tell me why I owed any money to their apartment complex. At the time I decided to move out of the apartment, I asked for guidance from a XXXX XXXX XXXX leasing office employee named XXXX. I do still have the emails from XXXX, a leasing agent, at XXXX XXXX XXXX stating to me in order for me to go on the month to month lease, I would need to pay rent of {$1900.00} instead of approximately {$1400.00} that I was paying for my 13 month lease. XXXX also stated to me in her email that I had to provide them with a 30 day notice, which I did. FTC : This is a totally bogus, made up fraudulent charge which is being reported on my 1 ) XXXX Credit Report and 2 ) my XXXX XXXX XXXX report. National Credit System, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX are holding my credit report and XXXX XXXX reports as hostages and trying to force me to pay a ransom of {$1000.00} for a scam, a bill I do not owe. I absolutely have no knowledge as to the legitimacy of this so called collection and simply put, I do not owe them a thing. I have asked National Credit System for validation of this collection. I have not received any type of validation. I have not seen my name on any agreements stating I agreed to any charges from these companies. I have not seen a contract, I have not seen any legal statement or bill to claim I owe XXXX and my XXXX XXXX and Credit report should suffer from it. This is a complete scam. I have attached 1 ) a copy of my lease from XXXX XXXX XXXX, 2 ) The collection letter sent to me from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( this letter was sent to me after I requested no more communication from them ) 3 ) My XXXX Credit Report showing National Credit System placing a collection on my credit report for {$1000.00} ( 4 Communication between National Credit System and myself through the XXXX XXXX XXXX 5 ) An email communication between XXXX , a XXXX XXXX Leasing consultant and myself-this email confirms my 30 notice to vacate as well as XXXX telling me on a month to month, 30 day notice is all that is required. National Credit System keeps saying they will " investigate '', however these collections remain on my report. Their actions violate FCRA because I do not owe any debt and they are using my personal information to pursue this scam and report inaccurate information to the credit bureaus. They know this is a false debt. FTC, thank you for your help.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed

Subissue: Debt is not yours

Consumer Complaint: National Credit Systems Inc. are attempting to collect a debt that is not owed and are reporting on my credit report. I had a judgement with an apt that resulted in a ( POSSESSION ONLY ) -No Monies Owed. I have Documentation from my Countys General Sessions Court of which it was handled. They are attempting to collect {$3900.00} and have not provided where these fees come from. They then told me that it was forwarded to a law firm and provided me with a number. I called the number provided and the law firm told me that they they would send a print out of the " alleged '' fees. I have not received any information. I have called both companies multiple times. Though National credit systems have stated that they do not have my " case '' any longer they are still reporting currently on my credit report. I have tried disputing with XXXX and XXXX sending proper documentation showing that i do not owe this debt and they stated that the debt was validated and have not shown me how or what the verification details include. Due to this i have faced homelessness with me and my XXXX children because we are unable to get approved for a home due to this false report on my credit report. ( its an automatic denial if your report shows a balance owing someone ) ... I also sent a print out of my rental report to the bureaus and it also shows that i have {$0.00} dollars owed from original company and yet they still denied my request of removal. I also called original company and asked to speak to manager on multiple occasions and left my contact number each time and have not received a call back or email. There has been no solution to this in almost a year of attempting to get this squared away.
