Consumer Complaint: M & T Bank wouldn't let me make any withdrawals from my account so I asked them to close my account XX/XX/XXXX. I spoke with the XXXX branch manager and she told me that the account would be closed immediately and that I'd receive my check with the balance of {$1500.00} by XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. It is XX/XX/18 and I still haven't received those funds, nor have I received any notification of my funds being sent to me. The only proof I have is the recording I made of this call.

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage company M & T Bank is currently giving me the run around. I am under the Covid 19 Forbearance program. I have asked on numerous occasions that I have various different options to pay back the forb payments. One of the options is a loan modification. I have asked on numerious times for a loan mod. The mortgage agents have told me I do not qualify, I do not qualify for a hamp mod because I have to have my mortgage with them for one year. Finally I called FHA and they told me that I do qualify for a HAMP MOD and I would qualify for a lower rate. So they gave me a case number XXXX. They told me to call M & T back and speak to a manager. Again I call and I finally thought I was making progress I get transferred to a female who said she was a manager and her name was XXXX she told me that I was right and that they never reached out to FHA to see what rate I would qualify for to get the loan mod. She told me that she would do everything possible to assist me and get with the loss mit team and contact FHA to resolve this matter she told me she would call me back in one week. Well today I get a call from M & T bank asking me if I decided on what options I wanted to do to repay the forb payments, when I asked about the manager calling me back and loan mod hamp she told me she did not see that anyone was scheduled to call me back, Again I am getting the run around. I need to file a law suit or take legal action and I need FHA to get involved ... ..I am not getting the assistance that they promised and I continue to be lied to ... ..and I believe that the agents are claiming to be managers but only pass me over to one of their co-workers which is misrepresenting their company. I want to see what I can do legally for M & T bank giving me the run around

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX took a payment from the wrong account. I immediately saw it, even signed up for overdraft alerts and texts and never got anything. Luckily I was checking something and saw the overdraft and just switched money to the account, no big deal. XX/XX/15 {$38.00} overdraft fee which overdraft me again, moved more money and was told I will probably get hit with a fee again and that you should keep more money in your account so this doesnt happen.

AFTER 5 YEARS, I CALLED THE BANK TO GET A LIEN RELEASE AT WHICH TIME I OWED A LARGE SUM. I SAID " IMPOSSIBLE AUTO DIRECT PAYMENT. '' SEVERAL EXPLANATIONS THAT MADE NO SENSE CAME WAY WITH THE ALLEGATION I SIGNED A CONTRACT FOR 85 OR SOMETHING PAYMENTS. I TOLD THERE MUST BE A MISTAKE AND FRAUDS. I CALLED XXXX XXXX AND THEY GAVE ME A FAKE PRINT OUT JUSTIFYING THE DEBT. THEY LEFT OUT THE DOWN PAYMENT. I HAVE XXXX AND XXXX STATEMENT TO PROVE {$4000.00}. AN EMPLOYEE FROM M & T BANK TOLD ME THE DOWNPAYMENT WAS {$5000.00}. AND THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME COPY OF THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT OR BILL OF SALE SINCE I COULD NOT FIND DOCUMENTS RELATED TO BOTH VEHICLE AT ISSUE.

Our son 's SSI money has been deposited into his existing M & T checking account for almost 10 years. We were told our son must appear in person to open an account. We explained our son is XXXX and unable to XXXX. The M & T representative was indifferent stating that was M & T policy. We asked for a copy of the policy. Our request was denied. We asked for specific guideline on what documents needed to be submitted. Request denied. XX/XX/2021 our request for access to the policy was denied by the branch manager at the M & T XXXX XXXX branch. On XX/XX/2021 we filed a complaint ( XXXX ) with the Maryland Office of the Attorney General. On XX/XX/2021 in a letter from that office we were told our complaint had been forwarded to CFPB in XXXX, Iowa. Can you help?

Consumer Complaint: Received Surplus amount of XXXX, XXXX on XX/XX/21. Called MT & T Bank after receiving the surplus check, would have been around mid XXXX. Questioned why I received such a large amount and wanted to make sure everything was paid. Was told during this conversation that everything was paid, account was good, and to enjoy the surplus. Received property tax delinquent notice on XX/XX/21. Called MT & T Bank again. On the phone 1hr 11 mins Confirmed they did not pay property taxes. MT & T Bank said it was because they looked online and our account is blocked so it was XXXX XXXX Was also told by MT & T bank that I was 100 % tax exempt. Obviously, this is not correct since I received deliquent property tax notice XXXX, Property Tax Supervisor, said I would not pay any late fees accrued and they would expedite this matter since XX/XX/XXXX there were more late fees. XXXX, Escrow Supervisor, said Escrow Analysis would be redone after taxes are paid. Called XXXX Asked to speak to supervisor because now I can not register my sons vehicle since we are delinquent on our property taxes. On phone 47 minutes Was told there was not a supervisor available and that they tried to call tax office but tax office would not give them information since the account is confidential. Told customer service this was not acceptable and that I wanted to speak to a supervisor. Transferred to XXXX, Property Tax Supervisor, she called Kaufman County Tax Office to get payment. XXXX at tax office provided amount for delinquent notice. XXXX said she would expedite payment to call back in 5 days for escrow analysis. Was told to either provide a bill from now on or unlock are tax account. Are account is locked due to husband being in law enforcement. XXXX also stated she could not guarantee I would not pay late fees. MT & T Bank has been dismissive of my concerns. Not helpful is resolving issues, blaming me and tax office for taxes not being paid. If not for me following up the taxes would still not be paid.. We have had this company for 5 years. Our account has been confidential since then and they have always paid our property taxes and property insurance. We have had this company for 5 years.
