Consumer Complaint: I have a plan with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. This plan does not allow for automatic pay to be set up. Automatic pay mean money out my bank Account automatically every pay cycle. Some how one of XXXX XXXX XXXX employees manage to take money out my bank account which had to bargain by M & T bank. Therefore this was consider bank fraud.

Issue: Trouble during payment process

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I called in to change my weekly payment of {$550.00} to biweekly payments of {$900.00}. I was under the impression my next biweekly payment would be auto drafted on XXXX. To my surprise another weekly payment was auto drafted on XX/XX/XXXX. I called in on XXXX and was told by a banker that my biweekly change was not processes and they asked if I received a letter that I was supposed to sign and mail back. I was told they can not make the change with a signature, unless I make the change online. I never received a letter to sign and the banker I spoke with on XX/XX/XXXX never mentioned anything about needing to sign a cancelation notices and mail it back. The Baker walked me through how to change my payments online and I schedule the next biweekly payment to be auto drafted on XX/XX/XXXX. I thought my change was processed and everything was good. Then on XXXX another weekly payment was auto drafted from my account. I called the bank on XXXX and the banker advised that I was set up on biweekly payments, but the {$550.00} weekly payment was processed on XXXX because I had to call in XXXX business days before the auto draft to cancel it and I called in 2 business days. The banker I spoke with on XX/XX/XXXX never informed me of this and I was under the impression my next auto draft payment would not occur until XX/XX/XXXX. Luckily the 2 unexpected auto drafts did not create and NSF but even so the bank should have informed me of the processes and educate me on what to expect.

Consumer Complaint: I am XXXX XXXX XXXX, I passed out and could not make It to work so I was fired. While I was trying to look for work covid happened. I was on forbearance for XXXX because of my health and I am a single mother. I work in the health section so I was really scared to step out. I was married but he never paid a dime in my house. He was on the mortgage. I needed is signature for partial modification but he refuse to sign it. I filed for divorce he claimed he wanted my house to be foreclosed. He did everything and still doing so I can lose my house. I took him to court the judge awarded the house to me and gave me 1 year to remove his name. My credit is very bad at the moment because of all the late payment. I am back to work now but I still needed assistance to save my home because it in foreclose with the bank.

Consumer Complaint: I have a mortgage on my home through M & T bank they put 2 parcels on my lot when there is only one. So after that happened my monthly payment went up over {$300.00}. I called one year ago today to find out why i paid double the amount if property taxes and not one person could give me an answer for over a month. I called back after another payment posted with the additional money and was told that i paid for 2 parcels and it was a clerical error and i would get my money back from the city at the end of the year! So i have to pay over {$3000.00} for their error and now the year is up and the payment has not went back down. I asked what would happen if i didn't have the extra {$300.00} a month in my account to pay for the mortgage and was told that my house would have been foreclosed on. Ive never ever received a formal letter from the bank explaining how they messed up. After a year i finally reached a breaking point and called my lawyer and he found it outrageous that this has happened. This is horrible for anyone to deal with.

Consumer Complaint: I opened an M & T Premium Checking account on XX/XX/XXXX, using XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX which offered : Simply open your XXXX XXXX Checking account by XX/XX/XXXX with XXXX XXXX XXXX, and maintain an average monthly balance of at least {$10000.00} in XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX XXXX Get an extra {$150.00} Set up qualifying direct deposits to your new XXXX XXXX Checking account, totaling at least {$500.00}, within 90 days of account opening.1 I deposited some money In XXXX, so as of XX/XX/XXXX, the balance in this account was {$12000.00}. I then continued depositing money. As of XX/XX/XXXX, the balance was {$24000.00}. I continued depositing money into XXXX, and then on XX/XX/XXXX, I withdrew some money. As of XX/XX/XXXX, the balance was {$8100.00}. It seems to me that, although the specific calculation of average monthly balance was not defined in the terms of the offer, any reasonable calculation would have my average monthly balance in this account as higher than {$10000.00} in the months of XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. As I understand it, the most typical definition of average monthly balance is : ( the sum of each days closing balance ) / ( number of days in the month ) By that definition, my average monthly balance was {$17000.00} in XX/XX/XXXX and {$24000.00} in XX/XX/XXXX. However, M & T is refusing to pay out the {$300.00} bonus. They are claiming that the account balance had to be above {$10000.00} throughout XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX to earn the bonus. But thats not what the offer said! You can see, even today, they have a similar offer up at XXXX : XXXX with similar requirements : To receive the Premium Checking Bonus, open a new XXXX XXXX Checking account between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX and maintain an average monthly Premium Checking account balance of at least {$10000.00} for the months of XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. And you can see, in those terms for this similar offer, there is no mention of any requirement that the balance be above {$10000.00} throughout the entirety of the months in question, only that the *average monthly balance* be above {$10000.00} for those months. Help?

Consumer Complaint: Dear Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I am please seeking assistance with mitigating information from my mortgage processor ( M & T Bank ) concerning a payment, sent on my behalf from the FL-HAF program, not being applied to my account. One FL-HAF mortgage payment ( {$480.00} ) to date has not been applied to my mortgage. On XX/XX/XXXX, a call to the FL-HAF call center ( verbally ) verified that 7 payments have been sent to my mortgage processor ( it does NOT include XXXX ), yet only 6 payments have been applied. Please note -- although my mortgage account reflects " current '', it should actually be " ahead '' by one month. I made a {$480.00} payment from my personal checking account on 8/15/22 to stay current. A FL-HAF {$480.00} payment on 8/16/22 put my account " ahead '' by 1 month. M & T monthly statements verify this and are attached. XXXX statement showing next payment due in XXXX, XXXX statement showing next payment due in XXXX. But then XXXX statement shows the next payment is due in XXXX. I have been trying to resolve this issue through since then. Call history to M & T Single Point of Contact to request escalations : XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX Escalation requests to investigate the " missing '' payment are replied to with " the account is current '', " the payment will be applied to following month. " Since XX/XX/XXXX my specific escalation question has repeatedly been, " How many FL-HAF payments have been applied to my account? '' The notes simply say, " Will be applied in XXXX '' This does not provide an itemized answer to my request. On XX/XX/XXXX Single Point of Contact member XXXX transferred me to XXXX in Customer Service to try to determine using batch numbers and transaction codes the specific source of payments made to my account. Two hours later, she was not able to. My records indicate a total of 6 FL-HAF mortgage payments ( {$480.00} ) have been posted to my account since my award letter XX/XX/XXXX : XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX Conversely, 7 FL-HAF utiltiy payments ( {$61.00} ) have been posted to my utility ( water ) account since my award letter XX/XX/XXXX. I am attaching the payment history with FL-HAF payments marked : XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX Documentation I am attaching : 1. M & T monthly statements from XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. 2. Payment record from my utility company showing the number of payments made by HAF to date. 3. HAF award letter indicating 18 months of future payments for mortgage and utility and the amounts of each payment. I have a PDF of my mortgage payment history that I have marked to indicate exactly who made what payments to my mortgage account. On XX/XX/XXXX I emailed this document, as well as my personal checking account records to support what payments were made personally by me to M & T. I received electronic confirmation that is was received. I am not attaching it here because it includes personal information but am happy to provide it upon request. Again, I would like to stress, my mortgage account may be in " current '' standing but that one FL-HAF payment has not been applied to my account. As my documentation shows, my account should be " ahead '' due to my personal payment on XX/XX/XXXX and then FL-HAF payment applied on XX/XX/XXXX. Consumer Complaint: M & T bank merged with Peoples Bank last spring. Peoples Bank never charged people service fees- now M & T by default has moved former customers to this account and it incurs a monthly service charge if a minimum balance is not kept. There was improper notification of this, and it feels as though its an attempt to take money from clients deceptively in hopes they wont notice the withdrawal, a beach of fiduciary duty.

Consumer Complaint: I have had a charge off from M and t bank on my Credit report for 7 years at a larger balance than when it was originally written off for. M and T bank kept increasing the amount. I have dispute the information starting in XXXX when it was at 7 years to have it removed yet the bureaus have not done anything. They said the information came back accurate. I disputed it on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX as well but they keep saying it is valid without proving the methods and means at which they found it so. This item is hurting my credit and has been over the duration of time allowed to.
