Consumer Complaint: After I shopped for new homeowner 's and car insurance in XXXX, XXXX, I found out that Lexis-Nexis had provided my file information to prospective insurers. When I received a copy of my report, I found numerous errors, including apparent typos and, more significantly, an old address where my ex-husband lived that I had never even visited and conflation of automobile insurance policy and claim records for myself and a friend who rents a room in my house. Lexis-Nexis corrected the typos but claims the other errors represent accurate information, without providing any information about how I can correct the record. The old address for my ex-husband dates back to about XXXX and probably was the result of an error made by a bank where we both had individual checking accounts ; the bank started sending my account statements to his address. The bank employee with whom I met expressed significant embarrassment and I immediately closed my account. The conflated auto insurance records potentially influence both of our ability to purchase auto insurance at favorable rates, since both of our cars and both of our claim records are listed. We purchased our cars independently, insure them separately, do not drive each others ' cars, and were not involved in the accidents leading to the other person 's claims. The letters I've received from Lexis-Nexis do not identify which of the errors they corrected, which errors they claim are correct information, and the sources of the incorrect information. Identifying these errors requires accessing a 100+-page report online and wading through it line by line. I also did not receive any explanation of why Lexis-Nexis seems very happy to report false information while ignoring explanations of why it is false from the person whose record is inaccurate.

Consumer Complaint: Lexis Nexis has violated my consumer rights! They are reporting a XXXX XXXX Bankruptcy stating my spouse filed it. I have never been married and they have shared this inaccurate information with the credit bureaus XXXX and XXXX. They are not reporting factual and accurate information. I have asked them to remove this information and they have not. They are in violation of XXXX reporting requisites per the XXXX as well as the FRCA, and thus damaging my credit. This Public Record item is deficient as reported, and Per Federal reporting regulations all claims MUST be to a maximum " possible '' accuracy and maximum " possible '' completeness 's, which extends to the reporting mandates that there be no deviation from XXXX Format Compliance since, per the XXXX, DNP 3-4 Any deviation from these standards jeopardizes the integrity of the data ''. Unfortunately they do not have reasonable procedures in place to assure maximum accuracy and completeness of the information that they included in my consumer reports that they have prepared for me.
