Consumer Complaint: The credit agency is reporting a bankruptcy on our credit report based on information from Lexis Nexus, a provider we consider fraudulent. Lexis Nexus has not demonstrated the ability to verify the accuracy of the data they supply. Additionally, the bankruptcy court, as the sole direct provider of this information, does not confirm its accuracy, as confirmed in the attached letter from the clerk of courts. The court is the only entity in a position to attest to the accuracy of the information, thus undermining Lexis Nexus 's ability to accurately confirm it. Given the agency 's reliance on Lexis Nexus, which is unable to independently verify the accuracy of the information, we demand the immediate removal of this item from our credit reports.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX XXXX I submitted a Notice of Dispute and Request to Remove Incorrect Information from my LexisNexis XXXX Report ( XXXX ) to XXXX regarding the incorrect Address Records that LexisNexis is reporting on my LexisNexis Accurint Report. On XX/XX/, I submitted a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) complaint ( CFBP Complaint # XXXX ) via the CFPB XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX incorrect Address Records that LexisNexis is XXXX on my LexisNexis Accurint Report. On XX/XX/, LexisNexis responded to XXXX XXXXmplaint # XXXX with an attached letter titled XXXX XXXX ( XXXX KB ). LexisNexis ' response to my complaint is insufficient. LexisNexis response states : Please note that employment, phone, address, drivers license, and property records listed on his Accurint report can not be removed from his report. Instead of correcting the incorrect information, LexisNexis attempted to claim that LexisNexis is NOT a Consumer Reporting Agency and that my LexisNexis Accurint Report is not governed by the FCRA.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Public record information inaccurate
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I submitted a Notice of Dispute and Request to Remove Incorrect Information from my LexisNexis Accurint Report ( XXXX ) to XXXX regarding the incorrect Address Records that LexisNexis is reporting on my LexisNexis Accurint Report. On XX/XX/2023, I submitted a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) complaint ( CFBP Complaint # XXXX ) via the CFPB Consumer Portal regarding the incorrect Address Records that LexisNexis is reporting on my LexisNexis Accurint Report. On XX/XX/2023, LexisNexis responded to CFBP Complaint XXXX XXXXXXXX with an attached letter titled XXXX XXXX ( XXXX KB ). LexisNexis ' response to my complaint is insufficient. LexisNexis response states : In addition, LexisNexis initiated a dispute, and that investigation was resolved on XX/XX/2023. During our investigation, LexisNexis located and verified possible criminal records listed in XXXX XXXX file with LexisNexis. A resolution letter outlining the results of our reinvestigation and XXXX XXXX statutory rights was mailed directly for his review. How could LexisNexis possibly verify an alleged Possible Criminal Record when I do NOT have a criminal record? Under Illinois law, it is unlawful to engage in defamation of anothers character and reputation. To report that I have a criminal record when I do not is defamation. LexisNexis reporting of an alleged criminal record is injurious to my reputation. In Illinois, traffic offenses are NOT considered criminal offenses. The item LexisNexis is reporting does NOT list the specific court where this alleged traffic offense occurred. I do not recall this traffic offense and it is not listed on my DMV driving record. Instead of correcting the incorrect information, LexisNexis attempted to claim that LexisNexis is NOT a Consumer Reporting Agency and that my LexisNexis Accurint Report is not governed by the FCRA. Additionally, LexisNexis failed to include any tangible evidence to support their incorrect reporting of " Possible Criminal Records '' on my LexisNexis Accurint Report.

Consumer Complaint: NexisLexis consumer # XXXX case # XXXX before XXXXcurrent. I am getting bogus refusal letters from a XXXX XXXX XXXX to which I have never applied for anything. The refusal simply states it is based on a report from LexisNexis. That among other things, I have no insurance history. I have had own owners insurance for 20 years. I have had full coverage on my car for a minimum of 10 years with just three companies. XXXX, XXXX, and currently XXXX. So even withy what little information their refusal letter disclosed, it it obviously in error. My scores from the big there are consistently in the XXXXI have not had any lapse in insurance in at least 20 years, and I never requested a quote from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX first place. I have sent them a copy of my drivers license, and I have given them my social security number. But, for the second time, they claim they will not process my request for my file based on lack of proving my identity. I can send you copy of the JPEG of my drivers license to see for yourselves, the same JPEG was entirely legible to the XXXX XXXX to renew my license, and to ID me for online validation. I have a legal right to see what they have on whatever file they think is me, but, they are procrastinating at best, or, an underhanded refusal at worst. I suspect they know their information is bogus and are simply hoping I will give up and go away.
