Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: Lexis Nexis your company illegally violated my federally protected consumer rights. This company reported an incorrect name, address, and accounts and account reporting that was not mine or completely inaccurate. They have violated my federally protected rights as a consumer and brought great harm to my reputation. I have been disputing this incorrect data for over a year with no resolution. I have been ignored time and time again and my data has been shared with companies without my approval. My name and information has been used to extend credit to companies I have never had business with. My privacy has been breached time and time again by this company. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 1 ) The banking system is dependent upon my consumer report being fair, and accurate. After looking at my consumer report I realized that my report is inaccurate, and this inaccurate report is unfair to me because I was never notified when this inaccurate information was furnished, and I was never notified when during your companys initial investigation that you were going to report this information. This grave error has undermined my confidence in your companys procedures, and as a result of this I will no longer be extending credit, also if this information is not removed, I no longer want my information reported in your companys database. Pursuant to USC 1681 ( a ) ( 2 ) - Your company is a powerless elaborate mechanism. This mishap that your company has caused has ruined my reputation, and it as adversely affected my credit worthiness, family life, and mental health. This is very serious to me and my loved ones. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 3 ) - Your company assumed this role. You were not given express permission by ME, the consumer, or a competent court of jurisdiction. So, not only did you fail in the initial investigation of this information but you also assumed this role, and assumed the information was valid. That is a violation of my consumer rights. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 4 ) - You did not ensure that this information is accurate, and you did not exercise your grave responsibility with fairness and impartiality. You took one side of the story, and never consulted with me to find out if these transactions even took place. As a result of this my privacy was breached, and this violated my right to privacy. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681a ( d ) ( 2 ) ( A ) ( I ) - Congress makes it clear that a consumer report should NOT include transactions between the consumer and the person making the report. These alleged transactions that you are reporting and failed to investigate, whether or not they took place can be categorized as a transaction that took place between the consumer, and the person making the report. Which means it should not be included in my consumer report, and in fact is a violation of my consumer rights. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681a ( d ) ( 2 ) ( A ) ( iii ) - In your initial investigation I was never given the opportunity to deny this information being communicated on my consumer report. This is in fact another violation. Pursuant to 15 USC 161a ( B ) - Any authorization of a specific extension of credit of a credit card or similar device should be excluded from my consumer report. These alleged transactions that your company clearly did not investigate is categorized as a transaction that was issued from a credit card. Credit card as defined under 15 USC 1602 ( I ) This company has never contacted me during this initial investigation and illegally shared information that did not belong to me.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I submitted a Notice of Dispute and Request to Remove Incorrect Information from my LexisNexis XXXX Report ( XXXX ) to XXXX regarding the outdated Drivers License Information that LexisNexis is reporting on my LexisNexis XXXX Report ( See attached Supporting Document # XXXX ). On XX/XX/2023, I submitted a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) complaint ( XXXX Complaint # XXXX ) via the CFPB Consumer Portal regarding the incorrect Address Records that LexisNexis is reporting on my LexisNexis Accurint Report ( See attached Supporting Document # XXXX ). On XX/XX/2023, LexisNexis responded to XXXX Complaint # XXXX with an attached letter titled XXXX XXXX ( XXXX KB ) ( See attached Supporting Document # XXXX ). LexisNexis ' response to my complaint is insufficient. LexisNexis response states : Please note that employment, phone, address, drivers license, and property records listed on his XXXX report can not be removed from his report. The information that LexisNexis is reporting is outdated. Instead of updating the outdated information, LexisNexis nonsensically attempted to claim that LexisNexis is NOT a Consumer Reporting Agency and that my LexisNexis XXXX Report is not governed by the FCRA, contrary to the definition of the FCRA.

Consumer Complaint: In early XX/XX/XXXX I was informed that my information in LexisNexis databases include the indication " PEP '' ( politically exposed person ). This information potentially affects my business liasons and is incorrect. I have been elected as a deputy of Legislative Assembly of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX for a five-year term. According to Part 2 Article 3 of the Law of the XXXX XXXX dated XXXX On status of the deputy of Legislative Assembly of XXXX XXXX the term of the powers of a deputy begins on the day of election and ends on the day the the new convocation of the Legislative Assembly of XXXX XXXX. Therefore I ceased to be a politically exposed person in XXXX, and have not been involved in any other matters which could qualify me as a political individual then and ever since. In other words, I have not been a politically exposed person for almost ten years, and shall not be classified as such. I informed LexisNexis of these facts and requested removal of my PEP status via e-mails and filing of the online forms on LN website ( case XXXX XXXX ; XXXX, XXXX ; XXXX, XXXX ), all in vain. To my requests I attached the following documents : passport scan ( for identification ), french residence permit and utility bill ( confurms my address ), legal opinion of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( which confirms the fact that according to the XXXXXXXX XXXX I ceased to be a PEP almost 10 years ago ). In the automated replies received from LexisNexis the latter requests the following : " In response to your most recent email received on XX/XX/XXXX, we ask that you contact the LexisNexis Consumer Center at XXXX between the hours of XXXXXXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX EST, Monday through Friday, and a representative will be happy to assist you. '' I tried to contact LN via phone, but no representative answered. The only answer was a robot requesting a social security number, which I do not have ( for I am not a XXXX XXXX ). To my knowledge my PEP status in LexisNexis databases is still the same. And as a result ( bearing in mind current international political situation ) my business reputation and reputation of my relatives suffers. Please assist me in removal of the incorrect information about PEP status od XXXX XXXX from LexisNexis databases.
