Issue: Dealing with my lender or servicer

Subissue: Trouble with how payments are handled

Consumer Complaint: Key Bank USA / XXXX XXXX / XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) wrongly reported a delinquency / non payment on my credit report multiple times for XXXX student loan issue that was paid and resolved. 1. The account was paid in full and should be removed as a negative on my credit report. 2. In addition, reporting by XXXX entities was wrongful because the account existed only with Key Bank and the other entities have no right to report. 3. The XXXX account at issue was wrongly reported negatively under multiple account numbers when the issue involved only XXXX Key Bank account which was paid in full. 4. After multiple attempts to correct the erroneous reporting of the account with Key Bank and the Credit Bureaus -- all XXXX Key Bank entities continue to wrongly ( negatively ) report the account in duplicate and unresolved. 5. The amount involved is under {$200.00} however its impact to my credit history is negative, erroneous and without basis. I am seeking your assistance resolving this matter because KeyBank USA / XXXX XXXX / XXXX and the Credit Bureaus have repeatedly failed to address this even though I have contacted them multiple times. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Consumer Complaint: I lost XXXX blank checks ( in my checkbook ) it was not stolen, but misplaced. I asked to have my checks stopped. there should not have been any fee on stopping a lost blank check, but I was charged for it. And in attempting to rectify the situation, service representative tried to put a hold on my account and close the account out, stating that it was policy to do so. It was averted, because I refused to give out my SS #, and problem was fixed finally by another rep in the supervisory role 2 hours later. However I wish to file a complaint for the service rep who deliberately mis-informed the customer and attempted retaliatory action in attempting to close the account when it was not needed.

Subissue: Trouble with how payments are handled

Consumer Complaint: I submitted a complaint through CFPB, Case number : XXXX. Key Bank was willing to work with me to activate my account and remove it from " charged off '' status. I made the payments as outlined by Key and my account was returned to XXXX XXXX to handle my account where I have made payments the past two months and I am up to date. I am still receiving late payment notices from XXXX XXXX, the collection agency. I received a late payment notice from XXXX on XXXX XXXX, 2015. Consumer Complaint: Key Bank approximately two years ago while setting up a refinancing of my mortgage suggested I open a checking account with points to get benefits from moving my money from other banks to Key Bank. Currently it was brought to my attention by my Key Bank branch that I am not collecting reward points from my checking account. I asked my branch to look in to this. They suggested going back to the original location that I set up my refinancing and my checking account ( XXXX XXXX in XXXX NY ) I spoke with XXXX XXXX XXXX Vice President of the branch. He said he would look in to it. Now several weeks later and XXXX voicemails later and also a call in which XXXX said he will get back to me in 1 hour never happened and no resolution has been made. I would like a dollar amount total of money I moved through my account and the equivalent of the point value added to my account.

Issue: Managing the loan or lease

Subissue:

Consumer Complaint: Keybank contacted me by phone and informed me and informed me that I had, " missed a payment a year ago and that I needed to pay that payment from one year ago and also that they had been charging me overdraft fees for that missed payment each month for the last year. '' I explained that as I had no knowledge of this missed payment and that the overdraft fees that they had continued taking out without my knowledge would more than sufficiently cover the amount of the payment that if they reversed all overdraft fees charged to my account during the last year regarding my auto payment I would be more than happy the pay the payment I had supposably missed a year ago. They agreed and said, " we are so sorry for the hassle. All of you 're other auto payment have been on time so we will reverse all of those late fees. We will be sending you some paperwork. '' I was relieved that they had handled the situation so effectively. A few days later I recieved another phone call from the same Keybank corporation telling me the complete opposite of what they had just told me. They stated, " you have a late payment from a year ago that needs to be paid or we are going to continue charging you late fees indefinitely. '' I told him of the previous conversation that I had had and what Keybank had promised to do the first time I talked to them. The Keybank employee then told me, " I 'm sorry but we do not have any power to reverse late fees. You will have to contact you 're local Keybank branch because they are the only ones with the power to reverse late fees. '' So I called my local Keybank immediately and explained the situation to them. They told me the opposite of what the Keybank corporation had just told me. My local branch said, " we have no power to reverse late fees. Only the Keybank corporation has that power. You will have to contact them. '' I informed her that I had just gotten off of the phone with them and that they had told me the exact opposite. My local Keybank told me again to contact the Keybank corporation. So I immediately called the corporation back yet again and explained to them what had just occurred. They again told me the same story, " we have no power to reverse the late fees you have to contact you 're local branch. '' I contacted my local branch again and told them what had happened. They both continued directing me back to each other and refused to help me in any way or to even get their stories straight. Now I have been receiving phone calls from the corporation just about every day since telling me I need to pay the missed payment from one year ago that I was unaware of until just now. I continue trying to reason with them but it is unfortunately impossible it seems. Each time I call my local branch and ask to speak to the manager she is supposably, " busy. '' After doing some research I decided to contact you as Keybank either avoids me or does not give me a straight answer and I need this issue resolved as it is getting out of hand. Thank you.

Issue: Problems caused by my funds being low

Consumer Complaint: My checking account was originally with XXXX, and Key Bank acquired numerous banks in XXXX and mine was included. I did n't change banks because I 'm a widow with XXXX children and we get social security death benefits direct deposited. I 've had this account for several years and never had a problem and if I did it was fair to pay overdraft of course. This year I went through a few bad personal assistants helping me with my biz and personal, and I got behind in my paperwork. But started feeling a tight money pinch every month. I just finally printed everything last week and reviewed it all, and have been a literal hot mess- they charged my account a total of XXXX categorized fee 's, some XXXX times in one day, and 95 % of them were for items they never paid nor were they checks. So far there are months that have over {$600.00} in fee 's, some over {$300.00}, and many just under {$600.00}, every month. They put their fee onto my account, which then makes it negative, and everyday, Key bank tries to claim the {$38.00} fee by attempting again, literally snowballing already {$400.00} in just a few days. My kids need to start school, and this is all money I desperately need to move. I reached out to key Bank in XXXX different channels. XXXX was by live chat XXXX XXXX or so, the XXXX was via phone on the number on my statement. The XXXX time I called my branch. I asked them if they had a limit on fee 's, if they knew the laws, and that they were stealing government assistance money for my children. They are all trained to make you feel like a loser, and refuse to help. The branch girl told me about a different checking account on the phone, but said if I closed my current account I would n't get my fee 's back even though they all XXXX said they could do only one. Mosty happen on or after dated of my direct deposit, and after stealing of our government death benefits every month- they wo n't stop charging my account depite opting our verbally and 2 years ago in 2013. My check just went in and we paid rent to our new apartment and within a day the fee 's started again. Last month over {$600.00}. I have been burned by every single bank 's greed. XXXX took my house in the recession- I have a small settlement check coming to me which by no means balances the pain of that situation. Key bank has completely halted my move but also business expenses, and in another day more bills will attempt to be paid. My statements are all mysteriously missing dates of activity and they happen to be for the same days my checks go in. Somedays they clear things and charge me, some days they refuse to clear my car payment when it is in there, and I am already facing issues with them XXXX XXXX - a nightmare with forced placed insurance on my vehicle, and the returned fee 's from key bank added fee 's every which way between the both banks. They should be ashamed of themselves taking children 's money or anyone 's money- it 's not safe in banks anymore! I am so disgusted that our country is allowed to do this!

Consumer Complaint: Attachment for Keybank : Foreclosure Fraud Revealed : Your Mortgage Documents Are Fake! Thu, XX/XX/XXXX - by XXXX XXXX you know about foreclosure fraud, the mass fabrication of mortgage documents in state courts by banks attempting to foreclose on homeowners, you may have one nagging question : Why did banks have to resort to this illegal scheme? Was it just cheaper to mock up the documents than to provide the real ones? Did banks figure they simply had enough power over regulators, politicians and the courts to get away with it? ( They were probably right about that one. ) A newly unsealed lawsuit, which banks settled in XX/XX/XXXX for {$XXXX} XXXX, actually offers a different reason, providing a key answer to one of the persistent riddles of the financial crisis and its aftermath. The lawsuit states that banks resorted to fake documents because they could not legally establish true ownership of the loans when trying to foreclose. This reality, which banks did not contest but instead settled out of court, means that tens of millions of mortgages in America still lack a legitimate chain of ownership, with implications far into the future. And if Congress, supported by the Obama administration, goes back to the same housing finance system, with the same corrupt private entities who broke the nation 's private property system back in business packaging mortgages, then shame on all of us. The XX/XX/XXXX lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in both North and South Carolina, by a white-collar fraud specialist named XXXX XXXX, on behalf of the federal government, XXXX states and XXXX cities. XXXX banks, mortgage servicers and document processing companies are named in the lawsuit, including mega-banks like XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX, who fell into foreclosure herself in XX/XX/XXXX, researched her own mortgage documents and found massive fraud ( for example, one document claimed that XXXX Bank, listed as the owner of her mortgage, acquired ownership in XX/XX/XXXX, four months after they first filed for foreclosure ). She eventually examined tens of thousands of documents, enough to piece together the entire scheme. A mortgage has XXXX parts : the promissory note ( the IOU from the borrower to the lender ) and the mortgage, which creates the lien on the home in case of default. During the housing bubble, banks bought loans from originators, and then ( in a process known as securitization ) enacted a series of transactions that would eventually pool thousands of mortgages into bonds, sold all over the world to public pension funds, state and municipal governments and other investors. A trustee would pool the loans and sell the securities to investors, and the investors would get an annual percentage yield on their money.XXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, New York XXXX : XXXXXXXXXXXX : ( XXXX ) XXXX : ( XXXX ) XXXX XXXX at ( XXXX ) XXXX Committee for the Seventh Judicial DistrictAttorney Grievance XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, NY XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX : ( XXXX ) XXXX : Complaint False Claim Act Violation Neglect and Fraud Upon the Court Lacking Real Party of Interest Rule 17a BY XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX Falsely claiming to be the owner/holder of the mortgage ; Predatory claims : TILA RESPAHAMPrelated claims & Breach of contract/breach of trial mod ( HAMP XXXX ) Debt collection claims ( state and federal ) Wrongful foreclosure Consumer protection statutes ( DTPA ) Dear : Grievance Committee for the Seventh Judicial District XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX are involved in fraudulently invoking the jurisdiction of the court ; IS NOT THE HOLDER OF THE NOTE NOR ANY DEED ATTACH!
