Consumer Complaint: Over the past couple months, I booked many things for a trip with my United Explorer Credit Card specifically because of the travel cancellation insurance policy posted in the benefits section in my app which states that it covers non-refundable expenses for passenger fares, tours, and hotels. The bookings for my trip included 4 hotel stays, several trains and a tour. I did not purchase separate travel insurance or refundable stays because of the coverage I thought I had based on the posted information. On XX/XX/ the day of our departure, we had to cancel the trip due to a covered XXXX XXXX. When trying to begin the process to submit the insurance claim, I was informed by an agent working with the benefits partner that this only covers passengers fares and was send the real policy, which despite the information linked to my cards benefits breakdown through the Chase App, does not include hotels or tours. The information in their app is incredibly misleading and had the accurate policy been posted, I would have made different decisions when booking this trip. Due to the discrepancy in their coverage policies, I am out approximately {$2100.00} in non-refundable hotels and other items that are not covered. When trying to resolve this with the company, the travel claims company partnered with Chase, refers me to Chase. And when I call Chase for resolution, they refer me back to the claims provider.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, 2023. My wife deposited a Tax return check ( we overpayed ) for {$29000.00} into an ATM at Chase Bank, in XXXX, XXXX. I authorized the check and my wife didn't realize she had to sign also. The credit was reversed appropriately and it began a XXXX week runaround including lies by bank representatives. I was told the check could not be returned however they would mail us a certificate that could be deposited into my checking account. It never arrived so I returned to the bank, XXXX later to complain. They contacted the ATM department and agreed to mail it overnight. A week went by and no certificate was delivered. I returned and complained again. Another week went by, no certificate. When I returned to the bank, a little upset, They committed to sending it overnight again. When it didn't arrive after XXXX days, I complained and they said it wasn't sent overnight, that I should wait a week and let them know if we didn't receive it, we did not receive it. XXXX weeks ago, I asked to speak with the Bank, branch manager, he filed an escalation request to get a resolution. We have not heard back from the bank since then. They called us this morning to tell us they didn't have any information. I really need help getting these funds into our account. I was going to contact the IRS and ask for another check but it's going to take months and we need the funds for holidays, bills and food. It appears there's a breakdown between departments, we're willing to do whatever we need to, to get the funds. The bank has acted very inappropriately. I think they lost whatever they're supposed to send to us. I was able to confirm with XXXX ( Chase told me that's how they mailed to us ). XXXX doesn't have any record of a shipment being sent to me from Chase Bank. My nephew works for XXXX and has access to all data. They never sent the check so I don't know how it got lost. I was told that our situation is unique, that XXXX 's of checks are reversed in ATM 's every day. The check or certificate is returned to the customer within XXXX days. For some reason, they can't do this for us and it's been XXXX weeks. Seems very unethical. Perhaps you can help my wife and I?

Consumer Complaint: The credit card company charged me a fee of {$10.00} on XX/XX/2023 without any indication what that fee is for. Shouldn't they have to explain why they are charging a fee. What stops them from just charging fees all the time without explaining them and making customers dispute them. ALSO, there is no way to dispute the fee online. That is the reason I have to use the CFPB to dispute the claims. Seems kinds of twisted that they will charge a fee, not tell you what the fee is for and then make it difficult to dispute the fee or find out any information about the fee. How many others is this sort of thing happening to and they just aren't aware of it.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX, my employer wrote me a check for {$5000.00} as a personal loan. I deposited the check into my checking account with Chase Bank on XX/XX/XXXX. Chase never released the funds to me. They claim they need to verify that it's authentic but it's been almost a year and I still do not have the {$5000.00}. My employer called their bank XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and said that it's Chase 's responsibility since the check was cashed. I will include screenshots of the cashed check. When I asked for the status of the " verification '' they said they are calling the owners of the business. The owner of the company I work for, New Standard Building Materials, never received a phone call. Chase will not release who they are calling. This checking account I had with Chase was receiving bi-weekly payroll amounts from this same checking account with XXXX XXXX XXXX so I'm not sure how this would be fraud.

Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern, This is XXXX XXXX XXXX. I had a transaction made on XX/XX/2023 at XXXX XXXX furniture in XXXXXXXX XXXX. Due to dishonest and scamming of XXXX XXXX furniture, I have filed the dispute with Chase which is the credit card company I use. The dispute was filed in XXXX but it got re-billed under my credit card again. I wrote a letter to appeal for myself but it got denied which is not acceptable and unfair. On XX/XX/2023, I walked into the store to look for a set of sofa. After a long search in the store, I found XXXX that would fit my house. I asked the store manager about the warranty, and he told me they dont provide warranties because they are confident about their products. He also mentioned they are very responsible and will take care of my needs. Upon payment, they had me sign a piece of paper which I thought it was a receipt for confining delivery address and purchase amount. Later-on on the delivery date, I realized how bad their quality is and I requested XXXX replacements but I kept receiving either broken sofa or stains on the sofa ( I have all the pictures as evidence ) then I requested a refund. XXXX XXXX XXXX told me they do not refund and it is written on the paper which they had me sign but never went through details with me trying to cheat me. If I knew this in the beginning, I would not purchase anything at XXXX XXXX XXXX. They were trying to hide those unfair policy. I have given XXXX XXXX XXXX chances to make things right, but they refused to communicate. The manager and salesperson have been very rude and uncouth to me. My wife and I are very disappointed on their service and quality of product. Also, during the delivery, they scratched my wood floor and they refused to be responsible for it. Their policy is to try to cheat and take advantage of customers. It is unacceptable. The store is a fraud and scam to take advantage of customers and I was XXXX of their victims. That's why I decided to do a dispute through the credit card company which is Chase. Chase rejected my dispute for no reason and refused my appeal. It is not fair to me as a customer using credit card to pay because I trusted Chase would protect their customers. Chase is helping stores cheating customers. I am filing this to fight for my rights. No one should be treated like this.

Consumer Complaint: Received shipment of an XXXX that was redeemed with Chase XXXX XXXX on XXXX. Upon opening the box there were hairs on the box, the box was very dirty and dusty, and there was a tear on the packaging as if someone ripped off a sticker on the box. Not knowing if this box was tampered with or not, I immediately called Chase XXXX XXXX XXXX and sent in the photos the same day on XX/XX/. I was told to send in the photos again on XXXX which I did ( not sure why ), and it's been 14 days and no one at Chase is giving me a return label so that I can return this product. I called Chase today to see the status on my shipping label, and they told me to call XXXX themselves ( what great customer service.. I need to call XXXX myself because they can not ). XXXX told me they don't provide shipping labels to customers and I was suggested to a local XXXX store to see if anything could be done. I took the phone to the XXXX store they notified me that this phone was not purchased from XXXX and that it was purchased through a 3rd party reseller. It's been XXXX calendar days since I first sent Chase the photos of phone packaging that I received from Chase. They told me a shipping label max would take 10 days. It's been 6 days after the noted threshold. If Chase can't support products redeemed with points, don't even offer this as an option as it's clear that Chase doesn't have the process in place to supports its products and customers. I am still waiting for my return shipping label.

Consumer Complaint: I had a Chase XXXX branded credit card. While XXXX several fraudulent charges were made on the card. I reported these to Chase, but they never took action to close the card to prevent additional fraudulent charges, hence breaking their own terms and conditions to protect their clients. They then closed this card, and all other personal and business cards I had with the company and refuse to open new cards with no explanation of why they are harassing me with this.
