Consumer Complaint: My wife used my credit card number without my consent to create an account and subscription with two online babysitting companies that charged {$62.00} and {$35.00} to my Chase credit card each month for almost two years each. Though we resolved the babysitting situation without these companies within a month, my wife continued to keep the accounts open, racking up a total bill of over {$1500.00} before I caught the error. I have been in the process of divorcing her while the bills accumulated. I had no access to these accounts nor the notices that they were charging me as the accounts were made in her name and with her contact information. Chase made an initial determination that it could not be fraud because I " knew the name of the person '' who committed the fraud. I asked the representative if this meant that if I knew the name of a cashier who stole my credit card number and used it outside of my consent or control would this also count as my responsibility. He declined to answer. I appealed the decision and received word over email that Chase had rejected my appeal and closed the case. Chase committed an abuse of power with this decision and should be held accountable. My divorce is expensive and I am accumulating a lot of debt despite my steady employment. Every element of this situation would be declared fraud from any fair judge and yet because of the debt, I am already accumulating, I can not fight Chase in court to reverse this decision. To XXXX 's credit, they did recognize the fraud and reimbursed me {$210.00}. Please help me to get the rest of my fair reimbursement.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 my credit card company posted a charge for {$160.00} from XXXX by Marriott which is not supposed to be a charge on the card when I found out about that I contacted my credit card company and told them that I didn't authorize this charge so they open a fraud dispute regarding that charge and credited the balance back on my account, but recently the fraud department from the credit card company contacted me and told me that they have to dismiss this dispute and advised me to call them back to open another dispute for an unauthorized charge by the merchant with an agent over the phone. When I did try doing that, the agent from the Chase credit card company told me because the fraud department has closes dispute in the favor of Marriot I have to pay that amount and they can not help me open another dispute or else I have to write a letter and mail it to them and then they will decide whether they can open a dispute or not. I firmly believe that this is unjustly trying to make me pay for some thing that I didn't authorize on my card. As I paid the full balance of my stay with Marriott with my another card, and this card was just used for identification purposes which shouldn't be charged with any kind of fee or payment as I have the proof that I paid the full amount with my another Chase credit card. I informed them regarding what I am saying here, but they are not ready to listen to my side of the story and not opening another dispute and unjustly trying to ask me to pay the amount.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2023 I was informed that my non public personal information was compromised as a part of the XXXX of XXXX breach. This included my checking account number as a dd recipient with JPMorgan Chase. I went into my local Chase to close my checking and open a new one. They eventually opened a new account, froze the old one, prepared a list of my outstanding items, dir deposits, and auto pymts. I was told their BACKOFFICE will pay the listed items on the new account. The list included my Chase Visa ccard which I pay in full each month and my Chase mortgage. Within two days I started receiving text messages from Chase notifying me of items clearing listing only an amount. I went to Chase for more info and was told it was a fraudulent text, to delete it and block the number. It was my XXXX pymt. It was returned not paid. Two days later Chase informed me that they were closing my accounts. Once I found out they decided to close my account, I tried to just close it in person and was told I couldn't and they would send me a check within 7 to 10 days. They have now frozen my new checking account, closed my debit and Chase rewards credit card ( forfeit rewards earned ). They will not allow me to withdraw any of my over $ XXXX dollars which is what I use to pay my cc and mortgage as well as all other expenses. Nor will they explain why they are holding my funds. All deposits to my account acct are collected funds, XXXX of XXXX XXXX and Social Security. I have been with Chase since the XXXX XXXX purchase with no NSF or fraudulent activity ever. There are no legal related garnishments or other holds. I don't know what to expect when my next retirement wages come in on XX/XX/XXXX. I am a fully XXXX XXXX XXXX retiree. I have not had access to my funds since Monday, XX/XX/XXXX and have yet to receive any of my money or a reason for their behavior. I was told that they do not have to provide me with a reason. I previously filed a complaint against Chase through CFPB and wondered if this was their way to retaliate.

Consumer Complaint: Obtained updated copy of my credit report on XX/XX/23 and found the following inconsistencies The " Date Opened '' is also inconsistent across all three bureaus. If all bureaus receive the same information from the creditor, there should be no inconsistencies. The date of " Last Payment '' is also inconsistently reported across all three bureaus, This is also a violation. There is a " Balance '' amount listed that is higher than the actual " High Balance '' amount, which is a violation. If an account was previously a credit card, there MUST be a " High Balance '' listed.

Consumer Complaint: I filed a complaint about discrimination my husband and I faced while trying to get a mortgage loan through JPMCB. The company responded and did not address that the employee has said anything discriminatory, and said that they do not offer any products for credit scores under 620. The website, multiple forums, and the FHA requirements are XXXX, and JPMCB advertises FHA loans for credit scores that wouldn't qualify for a conventional loan ( XXXX ) so how is it that JPMCB both facilitates FHA loans but doesn't facilitate the credit score? Furthermore, disparate impact is illegal and a violation of HUD Fair Lending law. If you service FHA, you service people with credit scores under 620. You also can not legally say that you don't take any public assistance programs for down payment.

Consumer Complaint: My daughter who now oversees and manages my finances made me aware that the loan for my home has been the sane for the last 17 years or so. Looks like I was not properly informed of the product chosen. I have been in an adjustable interest only loan. Washington Mutual was my original mortgage broker. I requested a refinance and was conned into this interest only loan. It has been a very long time so I do have a specific memory of what happened. This type of loan should be against the law. I believe at the time there was a market crash and I was looking to refinance. My daughter feels I was taken advantage off. She feels this is senior abuse. When I tried speaking with the bank, they said there was nothing they can do. I am retired on a fixed income and do not wish to continue throwing my retirement away. This loan serves me no purpose. I am looking to have the monies paid out applied to a traditional mortgage. I have paid my mortgage off just about and have nothing to show for it. The banks are not being very fair these days and are taking advantage of people at their weakest times. I am XXXX XXXX XXXX and have enough sense to know this is wrong. The bank wasn't willing to assist me at all with this issue. The employees at Chase were just as shocked as I am. According to the contract, this was only supposed to be for 5 years to start. It was supposed to be looked into. It's been 17 years of me just giving my retirement away. I don't even have a home to leave to my survivors. It's really a shame and a bad deal. My payments have doubled in the last few years. I'm looking for a solution.

Consumer Complaint: I had set up a withdrawal out of my checking account for the amount of {$36.00} from the creditor ( XXXX ) on XXXX XXXX XXXX There was auto deposit in the amount {$1900.00} that morning on the same day. Which was verified. The issuing company ( XXXX ) states that is was rejected by chase. On that date. Chace rep claims that the transaction was rejected due to insufficient funds the statement says there was money in the account at the time. When I went back online to find this transaction it was no longer there. I call chase back to be place on hold for 2 hours. I then called back to be sent to someone in inda who I could barely understand what he was saying. I had repeated myself so many times to explain to him what the problem was with no results. I then asked for a manager or senior person, to be placed on hold for 20 mins then the line went dead. I have transaction from XXXX but not chase saying the even got a transaction?
