Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX I paid my XXXX income taxes with my Southwest Airlines Chase Credit Card. The payment for {$1800.00} was rejected by the IRS. I was credited {$320.00}. I was unaware that the remaining {$1500.00} was unpaid/rejected by the IRS until I contacted the IRS with a question about a different topic. I paid my Southwest bill as agreed for this charge, unaware that my payment hadn't gone through. I received a late charge from the IRS for over a hundred dollars not including the {$50.00} fee required to pay taxes with a credit card. I provided a letter to Chase/Southwest directly from the IRS with very specific information indicating the total charge of {$1800.00} was never processed. Each time I contact the credit card company a have basically gotten one of the three following responses that are not applicable ( or don't make sense ) : 1. Dispute exceeds dispute time limit, ( My intention was never to dispute the charge. The IRS rejected it ). 2. " We never touched the money ''. ( Not understood/applicable ) 3. " You need to submit clear information in another dispute ''. ( This was done by me as well as a rep from my local Chase bank. Nothing exists that is more clear than the letter I provided from the IRS )

Issue: Problem with a lender or other company charging your account
Subissue: Transaction was not authorized
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed over 30 unauthorized charges on my checking account equating to a little under {$1500.00} ( exact transactions are laid out in attached documents ). All charges occurred from XXXX and were all for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I had the card in my possession, but did not complete these charges. I cancelled my card and filed a claim with Chase. After XXXX weeks, Chase denied my claim. I received the attached claim denial. I called twice for more detailed information and, both times, the representatives stated that because I had the physical card in my possession and my PIN was used ( which is not possible or accurate because a PIN is not required for XXXX transactions, nor any online transaction ), I can not prove that someone else completed these transactions. I went into my local Chase Bank in hopes of receiving more support. I was instructed to gather supporting documentation as my last ditch effort in reopening this claim. I reached out to XXXX twice in the month of XXXX, sending the screenshots of the charges and asking them to provide me with details about the trips associated with the transactions using my card. My hope was to receive this information and present my alibi at the time of these various charges to Chase. XXXX has given me no response and I'm unable to located a support phone number to call. On XX/XX/XXXX, I filed a police report with my local police department. On XX/XX/XXXX, Chase did approve XXXX of the claims for a total of {$100.00} which were only the XXXX XXXX transactions. I was not provided with more information about why these claims were approved while the others were denied, outside of the brief statement in the claim approval/denials attached. Moreover, when I called Chase to " request the information [ they ] used for their research '' ( as stated in the Chase denied claim document ), they only sent me the claim statement in the mail on Thursday, XX/XX/XXXX, with a brief description ( attached ) of the reason for denial : " Your claim was denied based upon a review of account activity ''. I can provide proof as necessary of my XXXX account transactions which shows I never spend nearly that amount on XXXX in a short amount of time.

Consumer Complaint: I went to a Chase ATM that wasn't working. I went to the next Chase ATM & my card was declined twice. I called customer service told him what was going on & was transferred to fraud department. While holding XXXX minutes I went to XXXX XXXX ATM & pulled cash. When I spoke to lady I said I'd like to be refunded ATM fee. She was very rude & told me to take it up with XXXX XXXX it's their fee. I responded if your ATMs worked I wouldn't have to go there. She accused me off yelling at her said she was going to put me on a brief hold to calm down & hung up on me. I called back got transferred to fraud department & asked for a supervisor. I held a very long time. While she was on the phone my card decided at a drive through. She told me there's nothing wrong with my account or card the ATM probably has dirt in it etc & that after 1st lady in fraud department hung up on me she intentionally & maliciously put a block on my card. In my opinion that is fraud. She has access to my personal information & account & thinks she's God on a power trip. I don't trust that she won't do this again. I spent an hour on these calls & plan to switch banks after XXXX years with this account.
