Consumer Complaint: Subject : Disagreement with Resolution on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Dear Executive Office, Chase Bank Customer Service Department XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Subject : Urgent Complaint Regarding Delayed Check Clearance Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to express my deep concern and dissatisfaction regarding a recent deposit I made at one of your branches. On XX/XX/2023, I deposited a check with a value of {$8000.00} into my account, and as of today, XX/XX/2023, the funds have still not been cleared. This delay has caused significant inconvenience and financial hardship for me. The check in question was issued by XXXX XXXX XXXX, and according to him, his bank confirmed that the funds were cleared on XX/XX/XXXX, and the amount was deducted from his account. Therefore, it is perplexing and distressing to me that my funds have not been made available to me even after a considerable amount of time has passed. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that this is not an isolated incident. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX issued a check for {$7000.00}, which was deposited into my account, and it cleared promptly on the following day. The contrasting treatment of these two checks raises serious concerns about the handling of my current deposit. I must emphasize that this delay in clearing the funds is not only causing financial hardship but also has a significant impact on my life. I am unable to meet my financial obligations, and the uncertainty surrounding this situation is causing me immense stress and XXXX I believe that this extended delay is not only highly inconvenient but also constitutes a form of discrimination and harassment. I kindly request that you thoroughly investigate this matter and promptly resolve the issue. I urge you to expedite the clearance of the check deposited on XX/XX/XXXX and ensure that the funds are made available in my account without any further delay. Additionally, I would appreciate a detailed explanation as to why this delay occurred in the first place, as well as steps taken to prevent such occurrences in the future. I trust that Chase Bank values its customers and strives to provide excellent service. I sincerely hope that you will address this matter urgently and rectify the situation promptly. I expect to receive a satisfactory resolution within the next five business days. If my concerns are not adequately addressed, I will have no choice but to consider alternative courses of action, including filing a formal complaint with the appropriate regulatory authorities. I would prefer not to escalate this matter, and I trust that my concerns will be given the immediate attention they deserve. I have attached copies of the relevant documents, including the XXXX XXXX proof funds deducted last week, and the check issued by XXXX XXXX XXXX, for your reference and verification. Please feel free to contact me at the provided phone number or email address if you require any further information or clarification. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. I look forward to a swift resolution. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I remotely deposited a check from making a sale on the Chase App on a Friday. The check was {$850.00}. It immediately showed partial availability of my funds, but I waited for the full funds to be abailable. On the next Monday, it showed the full month available for use, so I shipped my product. The next day, Chase showed that the funds were gone. Im frustrated that they approved the funds, and then they retracted them. I even got two confirmation emails that the check was approved, even though it clearly wasnt. The bank shouldnt have communicated that the check was approved before they were sure it wouldnt bounce.

Consumer Complaint: I was applying for a loan with Chase Bank on a primary residence. There was me, my wife, and my parents as non-occupant co-borrowers. Chase made several written financial commitments to us at the start of the process which I believe led them to find a way to back out of this loan. Details are provided below. 7 days before closing they said we did not qualify due to the DTI ratio. However, they were incorrectly calculating those numbers. I believe this was intentional. Chases ' DTI calculations had several errors. Chase was not counting dividend income that had 5 plus year history for my parents. For my income, Chase did not back out XXXX of depreciation on investment properties. These errors greatly lowered our income calculation. These are very common practices and standard operating procedures. It was clear that the loan officer wouldn't understand how either of these worked as I had to explain some very basic concepts to him. Since this fell apart I have submitted all docs to 3 other lenders. All 3 agreed Chase was not doing the math correctly and our DTI was well under the needed ratio. I believe they wouldn't calculate these correctly because they weren't going to able to close in time which triggered a payment from Chase of {$20000.00}. Chase sent me a written guarantee of a " 21 Day Purchase Closing Guarantee '' which if they did not meet triggered a payment of XXXX. Or perhaps they just didn't want to close a loan at a 6.99 % rate as the rate had gone up since locking. No other lenders have calculated the DTI the way they did ( intentionally ignoring income and deductions ). After it fell apart the loan officer recommended I work with a different loan officer and do a VA loan under my parent 's name as my father is XXXX The agent specifically recommended that we state the house would be my parent 's primary residence even though this was and is not true. This action constitutes fraud and we did not pursue it. It was a false lead the agent was trying to get us to pursue to get them out of their commitments. This incompetence ( intentional or not ) cost me a XXXX percent on my interest rate ( roughly {$250.00} a month for the life of the loan ). As I had locked in at 6.99 %. and will have to close at 7.5 % with a different lender due to a rate increase. It also cost me a XXXX payment from Chase, as they had a written commitment to honor their program that if I used their agent 's recommendation and closed with them it triggered a XXXX for this home. Additionally, mistakes made by the loan XXXX during this process were SS # 's were inputted incorrectly delaying the initial pre-approval letter. The purchase address was inputted correctly and I was offered a XXXX XXXX based on this incorrect address. In summary Chase 's representative : - Incorrectly calculated the DTI- did not understand dividend income - did not understand deprecation on investment properties- incorrectly inputted SS # - incorrectly inputted the address of the home being purchased- suggested an illegal loan activity This cost me $ XXXX and several XXXX dollars from fees paid and payments owed.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I opened both checking and saving account with promo code in branch. In order to meet the qualification of opening account bonus offer, I transferred {$15000.00} from my XXXX account ( an American online bank ) to Chase saving on around XX/XX/2023. As I didnt see the {$15000.00} transfer showing on my Chase saving account, I made another {$15000.00} transfer on around XX/XX/2023. The second transfer was cancelled because of insufficient XXXX account balance and later I found the first transfer showed on my Chase account successfully. On XX/XX/2023 Chase informed me that they may closed my accounts because of potential fraud. I called at customer service center and they said thats the final decision, Chase will end the relationship with me without giving any explanation. I strongly believed there must have some mistakes so I applied an investigation. On XX/XX/2023, They called and said will proceed the investigation. On XX/XX/2023, they called and told me the investigation is closed and the decision of closing my account is final and wouldnt give me any reason why they closed my account, stating that they reserved the right to which customers Chase having business with. So I asked the progress of my {$15000.00} fund, I was transferred to their electronic funding department, which they said this fund was under verification and no estimated time when its going to be done, the transfer is between my accounts under my name and the money is mainly from salary so I ask if they could transfer me to the department verifying the fund or I could provide any information they need in order to faster the process, sadly they refused. It was very frustrated without knowing why Chase closed my account, if theres really ID thief issue related, I should have the right to know. This whole process and my pending {$15000.00} made me feel unsafe toward the safeguard of money in banking system.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I received a letter from Chase saying that it was closing my business accounts because of my association with a Chase depost account that was previously closed. In XX/XX/2023, Chase closed a small personal savings account because of " suspicious activity. '' However, the branch banker told me it was closed because of inactivity. Chase will not say why they are closing my business account. I have had the account for nearly 20 years and there has been no change in my transactions. This is incredibly disruptive to my business. Further, as a systemically important bank, Chase enjoys the implicit backing of the U.S. government, i.e., the taxpayers. The Bank expects the taxpayers to bail it out when it loses money, but it can not give its customers a reason for closing their account. Nor can they provide their own name or employer ID #

Consumer Complaint: I had two XXXX XXXX promotional balances on my credit card account. One ending in XX/XX/XXXX and one ending in XX/XX/XXXX. I needed to make a couple of large purchases ( totaling about {$12000.00} ) on this card, which would have been at the standard APR ( 25.24 % ). My understanding is that credit card companies are required to apply payments to the highest APR balances, so I made the purchases and then waited a few days for the transactions to post to my account. I then submitted a payment that covered my monthly minimum payment requirement AND the new charges so as to avoid paying interest on the new charges. When I received my next statement, the payment I made was applied to my XXXX XXXX promotional balances and I was charged interest on the new purchases. I am now told I will be charged interest every month at XXXX XXXX APR on the purchases unless I make another {$12000.00} payment.
