Subissue: Card opened without my consent or knowledge
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, XXXX pm, I received an email congratulating me on my application for a Chase Freedom card, which I did not apply for. I checked my account and noticed a newly issued freedom card. I called XXXX immediately and asked them who, when, and where the application was submitted. I was told that the application was submitted through my online account near my workplace ( which has a Chase bank nearby ). However, I was absent from work this day. Also, I had double verification protection for my online account, which required a verification code sent to my cell phone. It would be impossible for others to access my account on my desktop at my workplace. I asked Chase to cancel the card and temporarily locked my online account.

Subissue: Cashing a check
Consumer Complaint: My business XXXX XXXX XXXX wrote a check to XXXX XXXX who is a tax collector in the town of XXXX, NY. The check was for town taxes in XX/XX/2023. The check is in the amount {$2800.00} dated XX/XX/2023. It was deposited on XX/XX/2023. The endorsement on the back of the check in unreadable. XXXX XXXX clams not to have received the check and not deposited it. I was not made aware of this fact until XX/XX/2023. JP Morgan Chase is my bank. They say it's to late to do anything about this. I should have contacted them earlier. They say there is nothing they can do and will not refund the money. The only info they were able to give me is that the check was deposited to a XXXX XXXX XXXX account. Not which branch or which account number. I have a bank printout of the front and back of the check. Someone was able to deposit this check without making any changes to the front of the check.

Consumer Complaint: I received the attached letter which again makes no sense whatsoever. I see this account is still not handled. I have gone round and round with you for years on this account and this is very wrong. I still have the original letter you sent advising you researched this account and found it does not belong to me and now you are changing your mind again? This has gone back and forth so many times. We never authorized the payments from an account ending in XXXX and the account was made and accessed by the person who opened and accessed this account. The hospital and doctor records we sent you confirmed we had no way to open an account in XX/XX/2020 as we were incapacitated and hospitalized for the entire period of XXXX XXXX XXXX You are harassing and violating many laws and regulations against a XXXX military family. This is very wrong and the effort you put into helping me is awful. I have tried time and time again to get help from your offices. XXXX and XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/, I disputed my transaction with XXXX, a house inspector company. XXXX, the owner of XXXX, stated that he never spoke with me or communicated with me in any manner. I have sent Chase proof that we did, indeed, communicate on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX. I even resent more proof of set messages. I explicitly stated to them that the report was flawed and that he didnt perform a thorough job. For instance, he did not inspect my roof. He falsely alleged that my skylights would leak and they have not. He stated the flashing was missing, which it is not. My flashing is built into the skylights. I attached receipts from the XXXX XXXX that prove the flashing is in the skylights ( built-in ). If he were a professional, he would have known that. He also stated my stove was not converted properly but it is. He did an insufficient job and he rushed through the job, which he admitted to when he wrote I did the job in haste- which I have emailed Chase proof of prior to this letter. I also had another home inspector come by and perform a thorough job and they wrote a letter out of courtesy to Chase explaining that the report was falsified information. I was willing to negotiate with XXXX, the owner, but he clearly stated I do not negotiate. I have done all I can on my end but I refuse to pay full freight for a sloppy job with inaccurate results. Chase denied my claim a day after I submitted it -- not the greatest customer service! I am very disappointed that they haven't taken my dispute seriously at all.
