Subissue: Deposits and withdrawals
Consumer Complaint: This is an email that I sent the branch manager where I open my business account over a year ago. Within the email you will see all of the information you're requesting. The branch manager XXXX XXXX email address is : XXXX Greetings XXXX, I'm with hopes that you and your family are well. I do wish I could say the same about mine, but we are not well, and are facing the lost of our business because your branch has closed my business accounts based upon False, Fabricated, Unproven Allegations and have refused to release the balance funding within the two accounts with a total sum of .... since the closing of the accounts on ( date ). I have been calling every week for the past ( date ) and have received the same cover story of " pending the completion of some unfounded mystical allegations fabricated by your branch. '' Back Office or not my account was open in your branch and you have the obligation and responsibility to release my funds at the time closing of my business accounts. The letter you send me dated on XX/XX/XXXX, I received in the mail several days later, which is the same day on XX/XX/XXXX I tried to wire {$37000.00} that was rejected. The letter caption Read : " IMJPORTANT : To protect against potential fraud, we restricted your account and may close it soon. '' Followed by saying : " At Chase we're always working to keep your money safe. Due to recent activity, or because we need more information from you, we have restricted your account ending in XXXX, XXXX and may close it soon. We understand this is inconvenient, but protecting against fraud is a top priority. Please act quickly to better understand the restriction on your account- you may be able to provide information needed to keep it open. '' You made it appear that it was for my benefit, but you had already closed the account after I received that letter several days later and went to the branch to find out what was going on and with the accounts and why they closed them, and what was the reason for you blocking my last wire transfer on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$37000.00}. These two accounts ending in ( XXXX and XXXX ) had been open since last year XX/XX/XXXX. 1 year and a week later still doing business as usual without any complaints from the traders sending the funds to my business accounts of any fraudulent activities or a request to have the funds sent back to them, you come up with this malicious circumstance holding my funds with a total sum of {>= $1,000,000} balance reported on my two last business accounts statements ending in XXXX and XXXX that has been withdrawn by you, with a XXXX Ending Balance. Is it because I am a XXXXXXXX XXXX man in my XXXX 's is the reason why you're treating me this way and want to destroy my business I've worked hard to develop and build properties? Regards, XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: I am absolutely furious about my transaction with XXXX on XX/XX/2022! They have flagrantly and erroneously charged me a higher price, blatantly disregarding their purported price match policy. It is an utter travesty! Their abhorrent reputation for running a price match policy scam is widely documented online, and I am just one of the countless victims of their deceitful practices. I've gone the extra mile by initiating a dispute with Chase Credit card, but to my profound dismay, they have proven utterly useless in this matter. I have tirelessly submitted a barrage of letters to them, only to be met with indifference and inaction. It's patently clear that they are firmly in the pocket of the unscrupulous merchant, completely disregarding the interests of the paying customer. I am forking over an exorbitant annual fee to maintain my account, and yet, they treat me with nothing but contempt. This whole ordeal is nothing short of infuriating! I implore you to step in and rectify this egregious injustice. Your assistance is not just desired ; it is absolutely imperative!

Consumer Complaint: Subject : Urgent Complaint - Unexpected Account Closure and Withheld Funds Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXXXXXX, Iowa XXXX Date : XX/XX/2023 To whom it may concern, I am writing to formally file a complaint against Chase Bank for the unexpected closure of my account and the withholding of my funds without any given reason or evidence suggesting any illicit activities on my part. On XX/XX/2023, I was notified that my account, number XXXX, was closed. No prior notification or reason was provided. Additionally, as of XX/XX/2023, I have been unable to access the funds in my account, amounting to {$5800.00}, despite my numerous attempts to resolve the issue with the bank/institution . I have always ensured that my transactions and activities are lawful and within the bank 's guidelines. It is deeply concerning and distressing to be treated as if I have committed some wrongdoing without being presented with any evidence or even an articulable suspicion of any illicit activity. Despite my repeated attempts to communicate with Chase Bank using the number they provided to inquire about the details ( XXXX ), they have either been unresponsive or unable to provide a valid reason for their actions. This has not only caused significant financial strain but has also impacted my ability to meet my financial commitments.

Consumer Complaint: I enrolled in the My Chase Loan program on XX/XX/2023. This program allows you to select specific transactions, typically larger ones, and make equal fixed payments over a chosen term without accruing interest. Instead, it involves a set monthly payment. Here are the details of one of my transactions : I had a balance of {$1900.00} to pay over 18 months at a fixed amount of {$100.00} with a 0 % APR. During the enrollment process, they explained that I would only need to make this fixed payment for transactions included in the program, which they refer to as the " XXXX XXXX XXXX. '' However, they did not provide clear information on what would happen if I decided to pay more than the amount required to cover interest. This lack of clarity caused confusion because I believed that by making the fixed monthly payment, any excess would automatically be applied towards the portion of my bill not covered by the program. After making a {$1300.00} payment and seeing that the " My Chase Loan '' payment was listed as XXXX, I assumed the excess payment would be applied to the " Interest Saving Balance, '' which is meant to prevent interest accrual. However, it appears that they allocated most of my payment to the " My Chase Loan '' balance, even though the required payment for the program was also XXXX, as explained earlier. As a result, my statement now shows a " My Chase XXXX '' balance of {$1100.00}, while my " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' stands at {$1300.00}. This is quite different from what I expected, as I believed the " My Chase Loan '' balance would have been {$1900.00} ( with the first payment due after the XX/XX/2023 statement ) and the XXXX XXXX XXXX would have been approximately {$530.00}. Additionally, they only clarified after the payment was completed and I had to call them that any amount paid above the fixed payment and the " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' would be applied to the entire outstanding balance. However, they did not provide specific details on how this payment distribution would work between both program components. It's concerning that, in practice, they reduced the amount covered by the 0 % APR and left the remaining balance accruing interest at a rate of 20.24 % APR. This practice appears to be deceptive and abusive, which goes against the principles of UDAAP ( Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices ). While they mentioned that these terms were outlined in the service agreement, they were unable to specify where. They simply encouraged me to review the terms. This lack of transparency and clarity in the program 's operation is a cause for concern and frustration.

Consumer Complaint: I had fraudulent charges on a credit card, while there was fraud including access to the online portal the re-occurring payment was changed without my knowledge. Thus a balance was created of late fees and charges. round {$10000.00} was accumulated during this time, {$5000.00} was reversed in fraud charges, but the interest and fees were not, an additional {$5000.00}. Prior to this incident I had a history of paying the balance of this card 100 % at the end of every month. Upon discovery of the charges Chase was notified Of the current balance {$5400.00} are exclusively fees and interest from fraud. I have over years communicated with Chase about this, including a woman named XXXX at Chase Corporate Office. Fraud and Collections representatives simply hang up on me without a call-back or transfer me back and forth reputedly. I have left my call-back number during these calls, but Chase refuses to call back. The advise I received from Chase Corporate is to keep calling the Fraud and Collections departments so that they can continue to hang up the phone on me.

Consumer Complaint: I was a victim of Identity Theft several years ago. Once it was brought to my attention I made attempts to address the issues, with the three credit reporting agencies. I provided them with a letter stating that the information being reported was inaccurate. Also provided a police report, Federal Trade Commission Claim #, and a affidavit. First of all they took longer than 30 days to respond. When they actually did respond they stated the information had been verified. my response was how did you verify the information in dispute? They never responded and the fraudulent negative account is still showing on my personal profile. I sent another letter stating that the negative account in question wasn't mine. That's the only blemish on my credit profile.

Consumer Complaint: Please see attached " XXXX XXXX XXXX ''. I had to hire an attorney after patiently trying to get XXXX to do the right thing. I have been trying to resolve this issue with XXXX for almost 11 months. I believe XXXX is intentionally trying to wear me down so I will drop the matter. I am more energized than ever because I believe XXXX is intentionally using the same practices with thousands of customers who do not have the financial resources to hire legal representation. This is a classic example of a large company taking advantage of ordinary hard working people. I would greatly appreciate the CFPB 's support in exposing XXXX 's violation of the XXXX XXXX XXXX and their deceptive business practices. They deserve to be punished for their general lack of care and violation of laws. Please help me expose their wrongdoing!
