Consumer Complaint: on XXXX different ocassions, i was denied access to money deposited in checking account at jp morgan chase bank-XXXX XXXX XXXX ( the bank ), after the deposits had cleared and been made good funds. XXXX deposit was a cashier check drawn on another bank, XXXX. the other deposit was drawn on a local bank. in both cases, the checks cleared promptly. the bank would not release the hold it had invoked, and thereby denied me use of my money for a week. i registered a complaint and the bank rep that called told me, repeatedly, that the customer agreement that i signed allowed the bank to put a hold for up to XXXX days, and that i had no standing to complain. the bank has an unfair, anti-customer policy that denies the customer access to their money once checks have cleared. the bank is abusing the provisions in the customer agreement simply because it can, and surely reaps financial gain at the expense of its customers. this action caused me a loss of interest and other harm. i ask the cfpb to cause jp morgan chase bank to cease acting in this anti-consumer manner and allow banking customers to get timely access to their money.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Overcharged for something you did purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: I rented a vehicle from XXXX XXXX XXXX for XXXX days ( XXXX ), agreeing to {$280.00} as per the signed agreement at checkout ( attached below ). After returning the car, I was emailed a receipt showing the amount for the rental car as {$5400.00} with the only cited reason for the charge increase being Vehicle Upgrades. I never authorized or requested a vehicle upgrade. My signature was only provided for the {$280.00} charge and I would not have accepted a different value. Neither company will take responsibility for this fraudulent and completely erroneous charge, and both are making it extremely difficult and slow to resolve this issue. First, I contacted XXXX on Monday XX/XX/XXXX and spoke with customer service ; during this conversation they said this charge was erroneous and that they would send an updated bill to Chase. This was never acted upon ( but I can provide records showing the call did occur ). I have filed a dispute with Chase when the charge was posted in XX/XX/XXXX to my credit card, and Chase took over XXXX months to investigate the disputed charge ultimately claiming that the charge was valid and I have to pay the full {$5400.00} amount. Chase required that I call and provide information about the charge when the dispute was first filed, ultimately starting the dispute investigation on XX/XX/XXXX. They called on XX/XX/XXXX asking for nearly identical information about the rental car service and what I was disputing. Finally the responded with the claim decision on XX/XX/XXXX. I have now reached out again to XXXX through a direct email to the CEO of XXXX and other executives requesting this charge be fixed. Additionally, I've filed a complaint with customer relations in XXXX for fixing this charge. I am currently in the process of reaching back out to Chase to understand why they think such an extreme, unauthorized, fraudulent charge is valid. Additionally, I will be recontacting XXXXXXXX XXXX customer service agents by phone to see if they can resolve their errors. I've attached below the following : 1 ) the initial statement from the third party service ( XXXX ) I used to book the rental car showing an expected price of {$280.00}. 2 ) the receipt printed by the rental car company after I signed and picked up the vehicle on XX/XX/XXXX. This was the only authorized and signed for charge for this rental car service and its price is {$280.00}. 3 ) the receipt that was emailed to me by XXXX car rentals hours later after returning the rental car showing the incorrect and fraudulent line items for the increased charge 4 ) Chase 's notice letters ( 3 total ) corresponding with the interactions we had over phone and the final notice indicating no reason as to why they found this charge non-fraudulent and no evidence that they did any investigation.

Consumer Complaint: 1 ) Amazon gave me a Credit Chase Amazon Card and I used around XXXX {$2.00} ) less than 3 weeks, Chase closed my credit without any reason 3 ) Chase in a very odd action closed all my accounts. They called me a criminal person and in one word, the story of discrimination and racism started. 4 ) I was paying that XXXX $ monthly and adked them to put it on auto pay 5 ) I didnt have/ still dont have access to any statement including this XXXX {$6.00} ) Chase called me why havent you paid? I said I dont even know where how how much and it was on auto-pay. That said it us not on auto-pay. Again, I gave them i formation and requested the auto-payment. 7 ) This story of auto-payment is not on auto-payment got repeated many times. 8 ) One day I asked them you don't give me any statement, and I am assuming during closing my accounts some money disappeared. And, told them, why my auto-payment gets frequently cancelled, and you after a few months tell me 9 ) now, it has been 3 months, they have sent me a paper as some kind of statement, it is too interesting that for XXXX or XXXX $ left they charged me more than XXXX XXXX 10 ) once one of them told me cone to this program and pay, that was a new trick I started paying XXXX $ monthly, but later I realized every single month, they not only charge me, but also this amount of mo ey doesn't exist on their papers. 11 ) Anyways, I see after 1 year and half, and paying more than that XXXX XXXX they still demand XXXX XXXX 12 ) I called them, threatened them to see them in the court as during closing my accounts, they harassed me, humiliated me, called me a dirty criminal person without saying which crime and after that they have always been trying to mess with me, charging me, etc. 13 ) I told them I am not going to pay you and get charged and you have used the dirtiest tricks to rob me. 14 ) They are even ashamed of saying how many times, they charged me whereas I had no idea what was going on. 15 ) Now, I have cone to this conclusion that closing all the accounts of a customer after 11 years of being with them, and this kind of playing around in order to hurt my credit score, etc., not only needs to be reported to a governmental financial organization, but also I have to report and file a lawsuit against Chase Bank, particularly the branch in XXXX, California, XXXX, where they committed those kinds of atrocities against me. The fact being that I have been suffering from an idiopathic harsh complication, and Chase despite knowing that to be exact around the time, I was going to leave the cou try for my treatment in a cheaper country ', on purpose, just hurt me, is extremely weird, I really don't understand the situation.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, I was traveling in XXXX for a vacation and used my Chase XXXX XXXX credit card. On XX/XX/XXXX, I reported an unrecognized transaction dating from XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX for {$130.00}. Chase denied my claim on XX/XX/XXXX. I reported again that I did not recognize the transaction. Chase denied my claim on XX/XX/XXXX. I received a call on XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX in their fraud department. XXXX said the transaction was for car parts. I do not own a car, so why would I buy car parts? I asked the Chase representative for an itemized receipt. The Chase representative refused to provide an itemized receipt, and they ended the call. {$130.00} is a significant amount of money to me as an everyday American customer. If it was valid, I would recognize the charge.

Consumer Complaint: COMPANY : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Chase ) PRODUCT : XXXX XXXX XXXX Agreement and Disclosure ( Agreement ). Ex. 1 SECURITY : 582 shares of Co-op Stock and a Proprietary Lease ( Title ) SUMMARY : The Agreement guaranteed {$160000.00} of Credit for ten years and was a result of drawing the entire {$160000.00} Credit Line and electing a fully amortized Fixed Rate Loan Option ( FRLO ) on the {$160000.00} balance. This resulted in the creation of two distinct loan accounts : ( 1 ) a Primary HELOC and ( 2 ) a FRLO Sub-Account. Ex. 2. Pursuant to Section VII 2 ( d ), any repayment of FRLO principal restores the HELOC available Credit by an equal amount. Thus, each party had a monthly performance obligation that was contingent upon the other partys performance. For example, Chase was not obligated to extend additional Credit unless I repaid a portion of the FRLO principal. Conversely, I was not obligated to make principal payments if Chase keeps the principal for its own use and benefit without providing me with additional Credit for use. To that end, nonperformance by either party constitutes a material breach of contract. Chase did not just breach the contract. Chase committed outright FRAUD and closed the {$160000.00} Credit Line. Ex. 3. Chase concealed the fraud by transferring the FRLO principal to a new account with a numerical sequence matching the closed HELOC. Ex. 4. Chase sent monthly statements that referred to the new account with the FRLO as a Home Equity Line of Credit with a limit of {$160000.00} and {$0.00} Credit available for use. Ex. 5. Chase even reported the new account to the Credit Bureaus as Revolving Credit with a limit of {$160000.00} and a balance greater than 95 % of the limit. Ex. 6. At the time, my new business was making over {$100000.00} per month. Ex. 7. I planned to pay over 50 % of the FRLO principal and have {$100000.00} Credit available for use. This would have strengthened my personal XXXX XXXX. Chase made that impossible and destroyed my credit instead, causing my business to fail and ruining me financially. Ex. 8. Although I was ruined financially, I never defaulted under the Agreement, so Chase had no right to force the repayment of the FRLO principal prio r to maturity in 2027. Instead, they used a completely fake loan number to try and collect the debt. Ex. 9. When that failed, they used the fake loan number to try and enforce the debt. Ex. 10. When that failed, they used the fake loan number to try and liquidate the collateral. Ex. 11. None of Chases collection, enforcement, or liquidation efforts were based on an existing loan account, and Chase never filed suit against me in any Court. They never accused me of having defaulted on the terms of the Agreement and never sought judicial confirmation of my default. Instead, Chase conspired with a Co-op Insider to steal my Title under the false pretenses of a real estate transaction. In particular, the Co-op Attorney/Transfer Agent paid Chase {$50000.00} for an occupied Unit with no Title. Ex. 12. Chase even instructed him to reference the fake loan number with his payment. Ex. 13. They both knew the Unit was occupied. Ex. 14. And they both knew that Chase lost the Collateral Stock and Lease ( i.e., Title ). Ex. 15. All of this was revealed for the first time in discovery after the attorney commenced eviction proceedings against me in Housing Court. Ex. 16. He lost after a three-day bench trial. To this day, I am still without a Title to my Co-op Apartment even though I have never defaulted on the Agreement. Any WaMu HELOC customer who exercised an amortizing Fixed Rate Loan Option and was assigned two loan accounts was similarly harmed by Chase 's mass cancellation, reduction, and suspension of WaMu HELOCs.

Consumer Complaint: On or around XX/XX/XXXX, someone hacked my Chase checking account information and deposited a number of checks made out from XXXX XXXX to me. These were fraudulent checks not endorsed by me. In fact several of them were endorsed by a completely different name. Then on or around XX/XX/XXXX someone disputed a number of payments to vendors and merchants that I had previously sent. Chase approved these payments and then reversed the payments and returned the money to my account. Then the hacker withdrew these funds and all the bogus checks bounced and my account was severely overdrawn and now the bank refused to pay the reversals back, sending me a letter stating that I had initiated the reversals. This is not true. I asked them to go listed the recorded line and they refused. It was not me at all. They also stated that they don't review the endorsements on the back of the checks. I am out over {$3500.00} because their fraud organization refused to help me. They stated that they had cleared the complaint.

Consumer Complaint: Recently, my credit score has improved dramatically. I deal with two banks. One bank that is my primary posted my credit score XXXX points lower than the other. I realize that all credit reporting services have different numbers. But this low credit score. Is rather dramatic compared to the other bank. And that hurts my overall credibility when concerning financial matters. For their part, the bank in question wash their hands of the issue. My contention is that if you have three or more credit scores from various services shouldnt there be an amalgam of the three averaged out to reflect your true credit score?
