Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Card opened without my consent or knowledge
Consumer Complaint: Longtime mortgage was sold and transferred to Chase Bank two months ago. Have paid my mortgage. This week received an email from Chase thanking me for applying for a credit card. I did NOT apply for a credit card. I called chase, they said I did in fact have an open application. They closed the application. I have run credit report and do not see any other open applications. This is shady. Chase was trying to play a fast one and now I am stuck with them as a customer because our mortgage is now owned by Chase.

Consumer Complaint: We were married in a wedding venue. There was a lot of confusion because there was a lot of turnover. We did not agree with the final charges and the contract they sent over. We did not sign or agree to the final charges. We made the company aware of this in writing. We contacted the corporate office additionally. They then charged our debit card in the total of XXXX in three separate charges. It seems as if they were trying to see as much money as they could get out. We filled a claim with our bank. They approved one claim then denied another. When we called in they said that the venue was admitting that some of the charges were not authorized because there were major issues and services not rendered. We informed Chase Bank that there was no signed contract or credit card authorization form submitted on our behalf. They used our debit card to charge XXXX without our consent.
