Consumer Complaint: I have an Amazon Visa credit card through JP Morgan Chase. On XXXX XXXX XXXX I purchased through Amazon, a desk chair in the amount of {$76.00} using Amazon 's promotional financing, which was six equal monthly payments with, 0 % interest. On XXXX XXXX XXXX I made a purchase thru Amazon in the amount of {$31.00} and on XXXX XXXX XXXX another purchase thru Amazon in the amount of {$16.00}. On XXXX XXXX XXXX due to a problem with a late delivery from the previus month, I received a criedit of {$16.00} and on XXXX XXXX XXXX another credit of {$15.00} for another delivery issue from the prior month. When I made my payment in XXXX, I applied the two credits against the purchases made on XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX and paid the difference, plus {$12.00} XXXX XXXX of the promotional balance of {$76.00}. ). When I received my statement dated XXXX XXXX XXXX there was an interest charge of {$.00}. What Chase did was apply the two credits of {$16.00} and {$15.00}, plus my 5 % redemption credits of {$1.00} against the promotional balance .This misapplication of the credits resulted in the interest charge, as the bank said I did not pay my monthly purchases in full.It also negates Amazon 's promotional financing statement of six months to pay with no interest because the bank says my promotional balace, as of XXXX XXXX, is {$17.00}. This misapplication of the credits means the bank can fraudently charge customers interest.

The most aggregious instance was when {$2.00} was transferred to a friend and I received a {$10.00} transaction fee which equates to a 485 % financing fee. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I got a XXXX 7.49 % {$15000.00} loan from Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card which was part of the My Chase Loan program where one is able to get a loan at favorable rates by borrowing against the Sapphire Reserve credit limit. The disclaimers program says that the payment is bundled with the minimum payment for the credit card and one can avoid paying interest on new purchases by paying the " interest savings balance '' by the due date. They also say that the way the loan will impact the card balance is as follows : " Well add the full amount of the loan to your credit cards current balance. Your minimum payment due each billing cycle will automatically include the monthly payment amount for your loan. '' It does not say anything about adding interest to the balance. On the next due date following the loan initiation, XX/XX/XXXX, I paid the full " interest saving balance '' of {$6000.00} which was adjusted down from the original amount in the statement by XXXX because of refunds and statement credits which lowered the net amount due and thus the final " interest saving balance '' that was displayed on the website when I went to make my payment. Then on XX/XX/XXXX, I was charged {$94.00} in interest. When I called to ask about the interest, the Chase representative first tried to tell me that there is always a one-time interest rate fee for the loan - something that was never disclosed and is refuted by the " learn more '' FAQ section on Chase 's app. When I confronted them about the fact that the loan 's payment ( {$1300.00} ) already included the interest since XXXX / XXXX would have been {$1200.00}, they said that if there was any interest charged for balances it would be reversed in the next statement. That did not make any sense to me why Chase would keep my balance artificially higher for a full billing cycle just to reverse a charge later. This is misleading at best and deceiving at worst. Consumers should not be left in a " would they won't they '' state about charges on their account for a full billing cycle.
