Consumer Complaint: I disputed a {$320.00} charge made on XX/XX/XXXXXXXX on XX/XX/XXXXXXXX for merchandise not received. Given the length of time since the purchase was made, this purchase falls under Visas 540-day rule. I spoke with multiple Chase representatives who were unaware of this rule yet worked in Chases Disputes department, yet I finally found an agent who was able to file this dispute. Chase has then stated that this purchase still falls outside of their timeframe and will not clarify their rules regarding their adherence to Visas clear 540-day rule, which this purchase clearly falls under. I had a very unprofessional, unhelpful, and rude Account Manager named XXXX XXXX who refused to answer questions, refused to specifically guide me to Chases policies, and began misinterpreting Visas 540-day rule. When I navigated to Chases website where XXXX asked me to go, he refused to provide any further information as he is clearly not abiding by terms laid out in my cardholder agreement. Chase, per Visas code XXXX, please properly resolve this dispute and please educate your team on this rule.

Consumer Complaint: Im writing this complaint about what seems to be a predatory practice of Chase Bank ( JPMCB ). Chase refuses to allow me access to my funds. After spending hours of calling and trying to rectify the issue, I still do not have access to my account. Chase claims that they allegedly cant confirm where the money is coming from and I, the customer, have to verify where the money comes from even though it says the company and is a chase bank account ( according to the company that processed my check ). They want me to give a number, which I dont have legal access to. So, here is the full rundown of what happened. On XX/XX/XXXX of 2023, I received a check from XXXX, owned by XXXX XXXX, for an insurance claim for the amount of {$2000.00}. My storage unit was broken into and I was compensated for it. Later that day, I traveled to XXXX XXXX to cash my check. I reopened an account that was once closed. They removed the restriction from my account. I decided I was going to cash it in the actual branch in XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX beside XXXX but decided against it once the banker ran the check and said it would be held because it was a being shown as a new account. She reversed the deposit and stamped it with a reversal stamp. I then took my check and called other banks about their check cashing process. Once I realized they had similar processes I deposited through the mobile app because I was on a time crunch. My check was accepted. And I patiently waited for the funds to be released I on the XXXX of XXXX. Well, on that day I received the funds and tried XXXXXXXX XXXX car seats from XXXX and it was declined. I spoke with the same bank on XXXX XXXX and they told me my account was restricted and that I needed to verify a phone number in order to have access to the funds. I continued to try to contact the company that owns XXXX but have yet to actually get in contact with the owner. I spoke with the person who processed my claim, also a worker for XXXX and personally knows the owner, and he said that the account the money is coming from is an Account with Chase Bank. He gave me the information of the banker that works at Chase that they could contact and verify. They refused and still want the number of the Owner. The person who processed my claims said that he can not Legally give me the number of the owner. I understand him completely. He insisted that the funds are coming from a Chase account. And if so youd think that they would know who XXXX XXXX is? They continue to claim they dont and cant verify. Others say because it isnt registered to me, but it has my name on the check. One customer service rep told me that its because of the reversal stamp on the back. Another said that they dont have XXXX in their system even though the funds are coming from an account with Chase that XXXX has. Its predatory. They continue to tell me that they can not talk to anyone at XXXX. And that the numbers given arent the owners, but I have no access to him. One representative said that the number wasnt SafeLeases number and said it was XXXX and XXXX XXXXXXXX isnt correct. They continue to give me the runaround because they know that Ill never have access to the CEO and OWNER. I was a victim of theft and now feel as if I am becoming a victim of predatory banking practices. I read where others said this same thing happened to them and the money occurred interest and interest was not received after waiting months to get access to funds. Im not saying that chase is responsible for them not receiving interest. I just hope that it isnt predatory. They continue to jerk around working class people who are just trying to get by and care for their families. I once thought that Chase bank was a great bank for working class people, like myself. Upon further review and my current experience? They are not. I fear that I may be out of more money and into even more debt if this continues and I have to contact a lawyer for legal counsel. There are a lot of talk about people wanting to start a class action lawsuit and its disheartening to see things happen this way. Many of us are facing being unhoused, medical debt, and other financial issues. Were just people who want their money. Chase isnt making it easier with this practice.

Consumer Complaint: On or about XXXX XXXX, I received in response to my inquiry three sheets of paper, each titled " Here 's an update on your disputed charges ''. Transaction Post Date on each was XX/XX/2023. Merchant name on each was AMZN XXXX XXXX ( followed by a different alphanumeric XXXX digit string on each sheet ). Transaction amounts and Dispute amounts were shown as {$140.00}, {$400.00}, and {$580.00}. On XX/XX/2023, I responded that there was no physical description of the items I had allegedly ordered. The date XX/XX/XXXX makes no sense since the incident where Amazon began the shipment of XXXX or more items that mysteriously appeared in my shopping cart was on XX/XX/2023, the date XXXX began delivering all of them even though I had not ordered them or even knew what they were. In numerous conversations with the Fraud Department of the Chase Bank I made it clear that I did not order these items, and successfully returned all but six of them which lacked return instructions, instructions that Amazon refused to send me, but instead told me over the phone to dispose of the unreturned items.

Consumer Complaint: I stayed in a XXXX in XXXX XXXX, FL XXXX XXXX XXXX. During the booking process, the host required a {$3000.00} refundable deposit, for any damages. After the stay ended, on XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email from the host stating we had " burned '' the coffee table with a value of {$1700.00}, and a pillow case cover with a value of {$35.00}, so I only received {$1100.00} back from the deposit. The host emailed me pictures of the table and it appeared to be marks that could be easily cleaned, nor proof that they were done by me. I emailed the host back, telling her we did not burn the coffee and ask what she did to clean it. I heard nothing back from the host. I immediately opened a dispute with XXXX, and disputed this amount on my credit card with Chase. I didn't hear anything for months. On XX/XX/2023 Chase notified me that the charge was valid, that the host stated I damaged the property. on XX/XX/XXXX, I called XXXX customer service regarding my case. They stated it was closed and the host had uploaded a receipt of the new pillow case, however, did not upload a receipt of the new coffee table, they only uploaded the original receipt, this call cost an additional {$51.00}. XXXX was going to contact the host, and get a copy of the receipt for the new coffee table. I emailed the host and stated we wanted the old coffee table if she got a new one. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX called stating the host emailed a receipt of the new coffee table, it was then emailed to me. The receipt shows the new coffee table was not bought until XXXX and the total cost was {$1600.00}. The XXXX customer service agent agreed that she did not need to buy a new coffee table, and also said the host had contacted them saying I was harassing her, he also agreed I was not harassing her. I informed him that we felt there are no other options except for small claims court, he said he will try to get in contact with the host and have us refunded. On XX/XX/XXXX, the XXXX customer service agent called me, informing me that he could not get in contact with the host and the case would be closed. I emailed the host directly, and informed her if we could not come to a resolution, we would have no choice but to go to small claims court. I feel that I have been put in an unfair position as both XXXX and Chase have closed the case with no assistance in receiving a refund. As stated, XXXX seems to be in agreement with me however, will not be taking any action to help.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a cashier 's check for US {$29000.00} on XXXX Two years later, I went to get a replacement at a Chase branch. The teller pointed out that the cashier 's check does not expire for 7 years. In fact, the cashier 's check reads " VOID AFTER 7 YEARS '' right next to the date of issuance. I went back in early XXXX XXXX XXXX to acquire a replacement for this cashier 's check and I was told my money was considered abandoned after 3 years and sent to the state as unclaimed property. If I wanted to get my money back, I had to start a claim process with the state of California and wait 6 months. I was never told that it expired after 3 years. None of the documentation states anything about 3 years.

Consumer Complaint: Cease and Desist direct communication with me. My attempt to close my account resulted in more frustration, a lack of professionalism, and directed to leave the property. Im done. I have over draft protection turned off. XXXX paid XXXX taking my account negative when I do not have an account with XXXX. I am not paying for a service Im not receiving, Chase bank has given away my funds to another business without my permission. I do not agree with the terms of service. XXXX supports XXXX party business and not their account holders. Im done. I went into the XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX branch to close my account. A banker, and Bank XXXX demonstrated one fact. They cant look at an account and tell whats going on. They had to make a phone call to understand whats going on. Totally lost my confidence, and no longer cared what they had to say. The flaky bank XXXX was unprofessional. Refused to close my account, and told me to get out, in not so many words. The bank managers lack of professionalism burn any and all bridges. Im done. I have given power of attorney to XXXX - XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX is not to contact me for any reason what so ever. I have diverted my payroll deposits away from XXXX. Any and all communications are to be directed to XXXX whom now represents my better interests. The so-called merchant supplied Chase with barely legible emails from a person with a different name, address, and email address than mine. Chase somehow decided that is was appropriate to rebill me for the amount. I called Chase, and was told to fax and upload a document to re-disupte the amount. In the XXXX weeks since that time period, Chase has failed to remove the incorrect amount.

Consumer Complaint: My Complaint is with Chase Bank. I had thousands of dollars stolen from my checking account on a daily basis. I disputed the charges equaling about {$350000.00} [ if not more ] Transanactions were to ONLINE CASINOS which were not my purchases and Chase Bank Fraud Dept. REFUSED TO TAKE ME SERIOUSLY resulting to 70 % OF MY MONEY STOLEN all in a matter of 4 months. In the beginning, i didnt realize large amounts depleating as i had just received a {$470000.00} accident settle back in XXXX and my hudband and i were making some very large purchases. When i looked at my checking balance, i assumed the money missing was us. It was not until XXXX when i finally sat down baLance my checkbook that transactions did not add up. I was charged {$46000.00} to a company XXXX XXXX which ive played before but NEVER would i spend anywhere close to {$300.00}! I did the research and discovered someone had stolen my card informatiom somehow as in 1 day over {$6000.00} was missing and not just with this one merchant ; But SEVERAL OTHERS ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, SEVERAL IN XXXX XXXX and even XXXX )! I IMMEDEATLY called Chase Bank ( XX/XX/XXXX ) to dispute these tranactions but nothing was investigsted. I summited police reports with my claims and still DENIED. Chase approved only 3 out of 180 transaction made to XXXX XXXX {$900.00} and denied rest! {$46000.00} were denied and the claim was done the same day and the transactions approved were same timr frame and even the same day of XX/XX/XXXX where i have XXXX other transactions that were denued. I was asked to complste an adidavid for the {$900.00} dispute but not asked to do the same for the {$46000.00} yet again the disputes were in the same complaint. It clearly shows that chase bank picks and chooses what they will honor and the rest do not stand a chance as they get denued as soon as the file is made... neved investigated. Chase bank denied every claim i filed and payed no attemtiom in protecting my account. When the money was all gone- Chase Bank CLOSED MY ACCOUNT When i called to ask why- i was accused of frauding my own account which baffled me! I submitted several police reports, Chase bank had no problrm keeping me as a customer until the money was gone and they protrayed me as a liability issye thus closing my account without notice. This is not cool and i feel chase never took my business serious.
