Consumer Complaint: In XXXX toward the end of the month, I invested about {$3000.00} in a crypto coin trading platform. I found it on XXXX and, although there was a picture of XXXX XXXX on the ad, I don't think he had anything to do with it. His photo was just used to encourage unknowing people like me. A person with one name, XXXX, handled my account. ( XXXX XXXX ) I would trade daily up to three or four times a day using information from supposedly from a XXXX XXXX. The advice seemed to be accurate and I seemed to make money on most trades. ( Only information on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is XXXX. ) XXXX encouraged me to invest more because I could see others were earning multiples of money I earned. Like a total fool I listened and kept increasing my amounts. She kept saying how it would benefit my family for generations. When I said I didn't have any more to invest, she told me to withdraw money from my stock brokerage accounts. Here is a list of money I did eventually send : XX/XX/XXXX. {$10000.00} XX/XX/XXXX. {$10000.00} XX/XX/XXXX. {$60000.00} XXXX. {$40000.00} XX/XX/XXXX. {$10000.00} XXXX. {$100000.00}. To join a " XXXX XXXX '' for greater profits and less commission These were all send by Chase XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX and then to XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. {$3000.00} XX/XX/XXXX. {$40000.00} XXXX. {$10000.00} XX/XX/XXXX. {$60000.00} These amounts were send from Chase to Chase in Arizona and then to XXXX The last part sent was adding up to {$100000.00} was to get {>= $1,000,000} transferred from my XXXX wallet to my XXXX account so I could pay the rest of the commission on the funds in my XXXX account ( approximately {>= $1,000,000} in my Wallet there. XXXX led me through the withdrawal process. I copied step by step, and told screen shots of each step send to XXXX so she was sure it was handled correctly. She assured me the money ( {$960000.00} after fees from XXXX ) would be in my XXXX account. It never showed up. When I told her that, she told me it was hacked but I could get it back by the company 's technical department.. But I would have to pay a 10 % fee first. I refused. During the next group chat I pointed out that I could not get any of my money and others in the group said similar things. With that she closed the chat permanently. Although I refer to her as XXXX, I have not idea about the gender of the person who did this. I do think it is foreign since XXXX referred to different currencies than Dollars. I have to say that the XXXX crypto companies I dealt with are part of the problem. The money was transferred from Chase then to XXXX. From XXXX I was told to transfer the funds to XXXX XXXX. they in turn transferred to my XXXX wallet.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I deposit a check under my uncles name to XXXX. We both have the same last name, and both of us sign the back of the check. We deposited the check not in the atm, but both in person with the teller, & it went through. The funds are in my account but are on hold to verify it. On XX/XX/XXXX, i received a notice saying my account is restricted and it would be closed if that check is not verified. The only way to verify it is through caller id. His phone number shows in the caller id, but dosent show on their system. XX/XX/2012, i keep calling to customer service, to remove the restriction and verify the check, and its the same story, that the caller id does not match.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, the situation I am facing is, I have cashed a check back in XXXX. It has been well over a month that I have not received the funds. The check was deposited at an atm chase bank, the bank I had an account with. They put my check in a 7 day hold. During the 7 day hold, chase decided to restrict my account and then close it for no apparent reason or even explained why. They decided to keep the check as well and are saying they need to verify the funds. They obtained a number to call but the number is not verified on the system they use to be able to use the number to clear the check. I have spoke with the company who paid me the check and they confirmed that indeed the number is a company number and that they indeed are the department that can clear the check. Chase refuses to help and understand the situation and is refusing to release the funds to me. Like I said it has been a month and I am going through a financial crisis due to this situation. It has affected my living ability and is mentally affecting me. It is not right for chase to do this, especially for not giving a well explained reason why they are doing this. I call and have hope everyday this can clear and pass by it seems like the only way this will ever proceed is if I involve a higher power. I also went into branches and spoke with managers of the bank and they all just brush me off. I truly hope you guys can help. I hope i can speak to someone to explain what is going on.

Consumer Complaint: I deposited a security deposit refund check from my previous landlord on XX/XX/2023 named to everyone on the lease. The check was for {$4300.00}. Everyone signed the check but my checking account was frozen and later closed without the funds being released to me. If I hadnt called Chase would not have informed me they needed to verify the other names on the check. However, they could only verify them using their system and no one came up in their system not even the apartment complex that wrote us the check. According to Chase we could not all come to a branch with the check and multiple forms of ID to prove it was us who the check was made out to. The funds are now suspended and Chase says they cant do anything to release those funds to me since they were never verified. This has caused emotional and financial strain on everyone named on the check. We have exhausted every other possibility to get those funds. I have called Chase multiple times, my previous landlord, and the issuing bank, XXXX XXXX XXXX, to resolve this issue but they all say it is out of their hands.

IN the phone call, they provide us with the check number and issuer and the person who cashed the check. We had reach out to IRS through our company accountant and submitted a 3911 from and follow up on the re-issued check since then. We have follow up twice on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX We had finally received a respond from IRS that the check has been cashed, so the case is closed on XX/XX/XXXX. We have reached out to Chase and the branch manager search their record and shows the account has been closed by chase and flagged as account with suspicious activity back in XXXX and not active. I was advise they can't further assist me since I don't have an account with them. Chase has cash a government check that is not negotiable to a person that is not my name and is not responding to my request to have any further clarification or assistant, and said the only check issuer ( IRS ) can request information on this matter. It is my understand IRS will not act on this if they never report this to IRS as a check that has issue. Please let me know if you can assist us since we have not getting any

Consumer Complaint: Dear Chase Bank Customer Service Department, I am writing to express my serious concern and disappointment regarding the denial of my fraud claim despite providing all necessary documents, including a police report, to support my case. The unauthorized transactions, totaling {$2900.00} and made to XXXX on XX/XX/2023, have caused significant distress. On XX/XX/2023, I engaged in a conversation with a representative named " XXXX. '' During this interaction, XXXX displayed a lack of professionalism by being rude and unhelpful. She not only threatened to close the claim but also treated me as if I were responsible for the charges. XXXX informed me that Chase Bank 's official policy requires a police report for transactions above a certain amount. In compliance with her instructions, I promptly submitted a police report via fax on XX/XX/2023, to the number provided by XXXX. Regrettably, I have not received any updates from Chase Bank since then, indicating a lack of willingness to resolve this matter. This continued negligence and disregard for the rights of a customer are deeply concerning. I find the lack of transparency in Chase Bank 's response to be unacceptable. I have not received any reasonable explanation for the denial of my fraud claim, and this has left me with no choice but to consider escalating this matter to legal action. However, my primary goal is to seek a resolution without resorting to such measures.
