Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Consumer Complaint: I am filing this grievance as I monitor my credit and was alerted to a collection reporting from I.C System , Inc. Account number XXXX, that has dropped my scores significantly. Ive received no phone calls or communication via USPS mail to confirm this debt is mine or valid. Due to this I did not obtain the full statuatory period that would have allowed me to dispute the validity of the debt prior to it updating with the credit bureaus. If I had, the collector would have been advised that this debt is time barred and needs to be removed post haste due to misleading and erroneous collection practices.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, my identity was stolen and used to file taxes and in XXXX, my identity was used to apply for loans, credit cards, and only XXXX knows what else according to my knowledge. As I'm not exactly sure who nor when, I can only assume it's due to the XXXX web and also when my personal information was auctioned off in a storage unit that I lost in XXXX. I immediately placed an initial fraud alert on all 3 of my credit files with all 3 major credit bureaus. I then signed up for credit monitoring and I have filed an ID theft affidavit and a police report. Your help would greatly be appreciated to resolve this issue. As you well know it is a violation of the FCRA to report erroneous information and accounts without original contracts with signatures. I ask that you validate these debts fully so that this issue may be resolved immediately.

Consumer Complaint: I had an ATT account for internet only that was placed on hold in XX/XX/XXXX due to having to move aburptly. ATT described the hold as having a small payment ( approximately {$17.00} ) until I could install the internet in my new location. I moved into my new location in XX/XX/XXXX after living in hotels and my car. I moved to an area and an apartment that ATT did not service. ATT advised me that they did not service that area therefore I returned their equipment but continued to be charged until XX/XX/XXXX. I spoke to approximately 3 representatives and a fraud manager but found this account in collections for {$100.00} for the months that I had XXXX internet and was paying for XXXX internet from XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX. I began to receive calls for debt collections in XX/XX/XXXX and found these charges on my XXXX XXXX report from I C Systems on behalf of ATTXXXX for {$100.00}. These charges were disputed at least 3 times and resolved. Recently, charges have appeared again from XXXX XXXX XXXX on behalf of 11 ATT for {$100.00} for an account opened in XX/XX/XXXX. Completely not true. I had XXXX internet service at that time and never opened any other account with ATT. I have filed another dispute resolution in XX/XX/XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I contacted I.C. Systems in XX/XX/XXXX to validate a debt that according to my report had been there since XX/XX/XXXX. I had not received anything from I.C. Systems before this account was placed on my report. I did not receive any validation. I contacted them again in XX/XX/XXXX asking for validation for a 2nd time. I.C. Systems sent me a " communications are ceased '' letter on XX/XX/XXXX claiming to honor my request to cease communication. However, No request was made. I requested validation and proof that I owe this alleged debt and that was not provided. I've sent letters to XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX, asking for this debt to be properly verified. All 3 bureaus claim to have verified the debt with I.C. Systems but I have not received anything but a bill from I.C. systems. I asked that they provide their method of verification but it hasn't been provided.
