Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: I.C. Systems Inc is reporting a delinquent account on my major credit bureaus that I owe them/this company {$1000.00}. I do not know what this company is. I have never conducted any business with I.C. Systems. On XX/XX/2023, I mailed and faxed written notification requesting proof of contract to substantiate I.C. System Inc 's claim to XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX that I am indeed the correct party they are seeking to collect this debt, yet my legal demand has gone unanswered. I.C. System Inc has yet to provide a underlying credit agreement, no proof of ownership and provided no legal basis to report " late payments '' or any information to consumer reporting agencies. As a ramification due to this fraudulent account, I was discriminated against & denied my right to be extended credit. Nevertheless, I have suffered emotional and mental stress because of this false and negative credit bureau reporting.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, in a conference call with myself and the insurance provider, XXXXXXXX XXXX became aware that the fraudulent insurance claim they submitted was not eligible for payment and they agreed to stop trying to collect any more money for this {$18000.00} bill for services not provided and refund the {$13000.00} that was collected on this charge. After time had passed and I did not get a check, I called back on in XXXX and the patient accounts lead confirmed that she had forwarded this account to legal and that they should have drafted the refund by now, but she did not know why they didn't and didn't have a time frame. After this, legal sent a gag letter saying we were not allowed to call and that we would have to submit more communication in writing. We did submit more than one certified letter after this and they never responded. They did not respond to the state consumer protection complaint either. They submitted bills for services in XX/XX/XXXX and we disputed the bills because they still owed a refund via certified mail and the dispute was not acknowleged or responded to. We sent written follow up in the medical chart as well and it was not responded to other than saying " we aren't allowed to respond to you '', and then 2 more letters were sent with no response. Then we recieved a notice from a collection agency for the debt and we sent them a certified mail dispute and this collection agency did not acknowlege or respond to the dispute either. The collection agency is IC System with reference number XXXX and the dispute was sent with tracking USPS XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to express my deep frustration and file a formal complaint regarding the reappearance of a previously paid and cleared XXXX bill on my credit report. This matter has already been addressed, settled, and removed from my credit report in the past, and it is highly concerning that it has resurfaced without any prior notice or opportunity for me to dispute it. On XX/XX/2021, I decided to switch from XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX due to consistent issues with XXXXXXXX XXXX customer service XXXX In order to port my number over to XXXX XXXX XXXX, I was required to settle my final bill with XXXX XXXX Consequently, on XX/XX/2021, I made the payment to a XXXX representative using two separate cards : XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX This was done as the representative insisted that my initial card was not going through, resulting in the utilization of the additional card. To my surprise, after the portation process was completed, I discovered that I had been double-charged. As a result of this unauthorized double charge, I had to dispute the transaction with my bank to retrieve the excess amount. Fortunately, the dispute was resolved in my favor, and the funds were returned. Subsequently, I provided the necessary evidence to XXXX, demonstrating the erroneous double charge, resulting in the removal of the charge from my account and the closure of the matter. However, I am now dismayed to discover that, XXXX years later, this paid and cleared bill has reappeared on my credit report, courtesy of IC System Collection Agency, without any prior notification or opportunity for me to dispute it. This is a clear violation of the new law that requires collection agencies to provide proper notification to allow individuals to dispute erroneous debts before placing them on their credit reports. I must emphasize that I have previously taken action to rectify this issue. I have filed complaints with all three major credit bureaus and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) to ensure that this matter was addressed and resolved appropriately. The fact that I am revisiting this matter, which has already been settled, is not only frustrating but also reflects a disregard for my rights as a consumer. Considering the previous legal actions I undertook, including a successful lawsuit against XXXX, it is perplexing and highly disappointing that this issue has resurfaced. I demand an immediate resolution to this matter, which entails : The removal of the erroneously reinstated XXXX bill from my credit report. Confirmation in writing that this matter has been resolved and that my credit report will reflect the accurate information. An apology for the inconvenience, stress, and time wasted in having to address this matter once again. I expect a swift and satisfactory resolution to this issue within [ reasonable timeframe, e.g., 14 days ] from the date of this letter. Failure to comply with this request will leave me with no choice but to escalate this complaint to higher authorities and seek further legal recourse to protect my rights. As a consumer who believes in fair treatment, I trust that IC System Collection Agency will handle this complaint with the utmost urgency and seriousness it deserves. I anticipate a prompt resolution and a written confirmation of the actions taken. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Yours sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: This complaint is directly related to a prior complaint Submitted to the CFPB on XX/XX/XXXX. The direct link to that complaint, which was resolved and now closed is https : //portal.consumerfinance.gov/consumer/s/complaint-detail # XXXX I have recently been contacted again by another debt collection agency named I.C. Systems for the same Account with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX is continuing to initiate fraudulent claims via debt collection for monies that are not owed to them. The bill in questions was paid on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$150.00}. I spoke to I.C. Systems on a recorded line twice today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) about the issue and they refused to provide an email address where I could send proof of payment to resolve the claimed issue. I.C. Systems instead proceeded to collect the debt even after I clearly explained that I had previously resolved the issue by making a final payment to XXXX XXXX XXXX and also via my initial complaint against XXXX XXXX the first debt collector. XXXX XXXX confirmed via their response back to my complaint # XXXX. They stated : " Thank you for your submission. The account in question was placed with XXXX XXXX and was recalled by the client XXXX. '' The client here is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. They have now commenced another debt collection against XXXX XXXX XXXX via I.C. Systems for the same account number and amount. I personally spoke with two representatives of I.C. Systems to ask them to cease with the debt collection because their actions are complicit with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX who is not entitled to any monies, they are claiming is owed to them. XXXX XXXX XXXX paid the debt on XX/XX/XXXX as shown on the attached receipt we have included along with a copy of the debt collection notice from I.C. Systems. This is the second debt collector regarding this matter. XXXX XXXX XXXX is continuing to be harassed by the continued debt collection notices and actions of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX through the I.C. Systems debt collection agency. Both are complicit in their actions, against XXXX XXXX XXXX and it needs to stop. Every day that this issue is unresolved is timely and costly to XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX and we wish this fraudulent claim to be put to rest for good.
