Consumer Complaint: I was sent a letter from IC systems on behalf of XXXX. The letter states that I owe {$46.00} for a XXXX Lawn Plan that I never agreed to. I've never signed a contract for or agreed to XXXX services. IC systems claim that they've previously contacted me regarding this issue, however, I have never been contacted from either IC systems or XXXX in the past. My name is spelled incorrectly on the collection notice which leads me to believe that IC systems is fraudulently attempting to collect a debt from me.

Subissue: Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Consumer Complaint: I was applying and looking at a mortgage for my son and I and was notified by the credit union i had a collection on my account through I C system from XXXX communication. i had canceled and returned all equipment and was told i owed nothing to them and recieved zero contact from the debt collector about it being reported on my credit report leaving a deragatory remark, which in turn hindered my chances of getting a mortgage. XXXX told me they have bo ledger or description of why i owe or what i owe. The deragatory remark on my credit report without any notice from the collector because it being a charge off which they will not collect is unethical to not give the person notice or a right to dispute the debt in which my case i do not believe i owe. Finding this out just now when applying for something like this is very unsettling.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I received and internal secured message from I.C. Systems so I followed their instructions, thinking that they were responding to my complaint that I had just filed with theCFPB on an alleged debt and their collection practices. I opened the secured message and saw that they were returning an alleged account back to XXXX and that no further collections will be attempted. If I had any questions I could call the number listed. So I called the number just to ask the question about the removal of the damaged collection account that had been placed on my credit reports. The I.C. Systems representative tried to transfer me to another section that the pop-up on her screen told her to but no answer. I call back later and went through the same steps and finally reached someone in that specific section. I asked how they planned to remove the collection account from my credit report, per the account information and reference information that I provided to them. They responded eventually with the fact that they dont report for XXXX but for XXXX and I asked what XXXX account, because I hadnt received any type of communication via mail or phone calls concerning an alleged debt owed to XXXX. So I ended the call. Upon my further research I did see that I.C. Systems had placed a collection account on my credit report for an alleged debt that I had no knowledge of or had received any type of communication concerning it. I reviewed XXXX 3 bureaus reports for XX/XX/XXXX ; XX/XX/XXXX where there werent any collections accounts but it appeared on XXXX report dated XX/XX/.

Under the provisions of the FCRA, specifically 15 USC 1681 section 602 a, there exists a crucial need to ensure that consumer reporting agencies, such as XXXX and XXXX, fulfill their obligations with utmost fairness, impartiality, and respect for consumers ' right to privacy. However, it has come to my attention that certain actions undertaken by these consumer reporting agencies may be in violation of the aforementioned principles. Given the importance of consumer reporting agencies in maintaining accurate credit information and protecting individuals ' privacy, it is crucial that appropriate measures are taken to address any potential breaches or misconduct. I kindly request that you thoroughly investigate the practices of XXXX and XXXX to ensure compliance with the FCRA. It is imperative that these companies fulfill their responsibilities in a manner that prioritizes the rights and interests of consumers. I appreciate your attention to this matter and your efforts in holding consumer reporting agencies accountable. I trust that you will take the necessary steps to address these concerns and maintain the integrity of the credit reporting system. I am writing to bring to your attention a matter of utmost concern, which involves a violation of the law.
