Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: Regrettably I have to file a THIRD complaint about yet another scamming debt collection agency, this time I.C System in XXXX XXXX MN. This follows on from two other complaints I filed against XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX, all three companies are harassing me for a supposed debt of {$1300.00} I owe to XXXX XXXX. I will reiterate what I have stated in the two other complaints in that I do not have and never have had an account with XXXX and this is complete fraud. As I commented in a previous complaint, I have no doubt that this IC System is in collusion with the other two companies to commit fraud on as many unsuspecting individuals as they can.

Consumer Complaint: I received online notification from all three credit bureaus on that IC SYSTEM Collections placed a Collection account on my credit report in the totals of {$1500.00}. I do not have an account or agreement with IC SYSTEM Collections. IC SYSTEM Collections violated the FACTA section 623 ( A ) ( 7 ). They did not properly notify me by mail before placing a negative item on my credit report., and allow me to dispute the validity of this debt. This debt can not be validated, I do not owe this debt. I dispute the validity of this debt and it should be deleted from all three credit bureaus.

Consumer Complaint: I see both I.C. Systems and XXXX on my credit report, even though XXXX sold my debt. XXXX. XXXX says I owe them more than {$2000.00}, and they claim XXXX passed on the debt to them. But when I check my credit report, XXXX is still there with a balance around {$850.00}. Also, XXXX sold the debt to someone who's bothering me with demands for payments that are double what XXXX claims I owe. I want to emphasize that I've never been with XXXX or signed anything. I'm confident I'm a victim of identity theft, and I'm dealing with disputes with other companies and banks because of this identity theft issue. I urgently need to see a detailed bill explaining why I owe more than {$2000.00}. I'm not satisfied with a bill that looks like it was made up, just stating that someone owes money. I want to see signatures. It's important to note that XXXX can't sell the debt and continue to have it on my credit report with a different amount than what the collectors are asking for.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I sent out certified mail to this collection company claiming I owed {$170.00}. The letter asked for validation of debt and the required disclosures that should have been given to me. The situation regarding my ongoing dispute with XXXX and the lack of response from the collection company so far has been very stressful. Despite my consistent efforts and multiple letters sent, it seems that my concerns are being overlooked. I am aware of my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, specifically 15 U.S.C. 1692c, which allows me to dispute debts and request validation. I simply request proof of disclosures sent and validation of the debt. If unable to verify, I kindly request the removal of this information from my consumer report.

Consumer Complaint: On or about XX/XX/2023, I contacted I C System after I received a call from XXXX regarding my account being activated by someone. Immediately accessed my credit report to discover that there was a collection added to my XXXX Credit Report from a company called I C. I XXXX the company and called the company to retry and resolve the issue since I was unaware of the company. Once the agent came to the phone, I identified myself and let the agent know that I had been involved in a rash of identity matters and this surely must be one. I don't have XXXX. I've received any communication from their company and the agent stated that it's on your credit report and that's informing you of the debt. I thought that according to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau debt collectors had certain steps they must follow prior to reporting the debt to the credit reporting companies. They must do any one of the following : 1. Speak with you in person about the debt. 2. Speak with you by telephone about the debt. 3. Mail you a letter about the debt and wait a reasonable amount of time ( generally 14 days ) for a notice that the letter wasnt delivered. 4. Send you an electronic communication about the debt and wait a reasonable amount of time ( generally 14 days ) for a notice that the message wasn't delivered.
