Consumer Complaint: I never had a contract with this debt collector for any debt. I have asked ( XX/XX/XXXX ) this creditor to provide proof from the original creditor that this debt collector owns this debt and has the legal authority to collect it or delete this account. This request was never fulfilled. My second request for this verification was XX/XX/XXXX. It was never fulfilled. After disputing this account with the credit bureaus and it was deleted from my XXXX and XXXX report but XXXX failed to perform an investigation and delete the disputed information. According to the FCRA, If a bureau finds that information is inaccurate or incomplete, it must correct the information and notify the other credit reporting agencies that received the information. This account was last reported on my credit report XX/XX/XXXX. I submitted this statement to the XXXX and IC Systems responded as such : The information in this complaint is substantially the same as disputes previously received through a consumer reporting agency. IC has already investigated and replied to the credit reporting agencies ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX ). Nevertheless, IC has referred to the creditor and/or its records for additional information to respond to this complaint. The results will be sent directly to the consumer within 30 days. I also submitted a XXXX complaint to XXXX XXXX XXXX and it responded as such : As none of the client contact information provided links to any XXXX records we are unable to look into this matter further. Please note that XXXX does not have any control over the credit bureaus and what they or collection agencies report to, or about individuals. If this is related to a XXXX record we would need the client information as it appears on the account. With this information it is apparent that this account can not be proven to be mine and IC System would have found this out if it had actually investigated my prior complaints.
