Consumer Complaint: On or about XX/XX/2019 a Utility Company Based in XXXX New Jersey called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX ). alleged that I owed them {$560.00} from a Utility account that was later sold to IC System Inc. I became knowledge of the account because it was being reported on my XXXX XXXX Consumer Report I made ample attempts to get this matter fixed with IC System and I was not successful in doing so. IC System Inc continued to pursue collection efforts dispute all the correspondence I mailed to them about the Fraudulent Alleged debt.

It has come to my attention that there are inaccuracies on my credit reports and FCRA law commands that they either be verified 1. Provide validation of the debt, that is, the actual accounting. 2. Verification of their claim against you, that is, a signed Invoice. 3. A copy of the Contract binding both parties ( you and them ), and send that letter by recorded delivery so that there is an independent witness to it having been delivered. Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX around XXXX, I obtained a copy of my credit report and seen the account IC SYSTEMS on my report. I opened a dispute with XXXX and the representative also told me to contact the company IC SYSTEMS. I contacted IC SYSTEMS and I told them that their attempt to collect a debt is very unlawful. I spoke with XXXX XXXX Employee # : XXXX, I asked him how did his company obtain my information to furnish information on my credit report, he told me through XXXX. I asked him if the company verified that the alleged debt is valid against me and if they did verify where is the documentation. He then proceed to cut me off and say we can set up a payment plan. How can we set up a payment plan, when you can not let me know how you verified the information that XXXX sent you? This company is in violation of many FCRA acts. Listed below is the biggest act that I believe they are in violation of. 18 U.S. Code 894- Collection of extensions of credit by extortionate means. ( a ) Whoever knowingly participates in any way, or conspires to do so, in the use of any extortionate means ( 1 ) to collect or attempt to collect any extension of credit, or ( 2 ) to punish any person for the nonrepayment thereof, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both. IC SYSTEMS is in violation of this Act as they have not verified or validated the debt but are still attempting to collect. They are punishing me by reporting negative information on CRA reports which is negatively impacting my ability to obtain credit. I also NEVER consented for XXXX to give nonaffiliated third parties my information and I never received notice that XXXX was giving away my information. Unfortunately XXXX was in violation of the GLB Act. They failed to notify me a consumer about their information-sharing practices and failed to tell me of my consumer right to " opt-out '' if I don't want their information shared with certain nonaffiliated third parties. So even if this company IC SYSTEMS believes that they have followed all laws under FCRA rules, it is still in violation under the GLB Act.

I noticed this report in XXXX so I sent them a debt validation letter pursuant to the Fair Debt collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1629g Sec. 809 ( b ) on XX/XX/2022 via certified mail with a return slip as well as another request on XX/XX/2022 with a return slip. This has been well past 30 days and this company has yet to present me with the competent evidence of the signed contract between me and the original creditor where I AGREED for account XXXX to be collected by their office validating that I have any LEGAL obligation to pay them. This debt is not mine and this company is committing fraud as well as defamation of character causing me unable to get approved for a vehicle!
