Issue: Problems at the end of the loan or lease
Subissue: Excess mileage, damage, or wear fees, or other problem after the lease is finished
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I leased a new XXXX XXXX through GM Financial from a dealer in XXXX. At the end of the lease term in XXXX, I returned the car to another dealer in XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX. I had purchased and installed four Hakapolita Extreme Weather Hazard-rated tires for additional safety, and kept the original tires in storage bags for the winter season. I returned the car with the original tires in a separate vehicle, ready to be swapped in at some reasonable cost. However, the dealership advised me to sell the tires since the car was " going straight to auction '' and the condition of the existing tires was " good enough ''. GM Financial sent an invoice detailing excess wear and tear charges totalling {$850.00}, which I immediately accepted and paid in full. However, I disputed the charge for tire wear and tear since they refused the " like-new '' original tires. I informed them of their error via their first phone call to me, but they refused to take my word for it ( despite photographic evidence of new tires still in my possession ), they refused to investigate the issue and refused to get on a bridge call with me and the dealership to clarify the matter, stating that they were " not authorized '' to speak to that part of their organization. GM Financial refused to investigate the dispute ( citing lack of authorization ), then ruled against my claim without an investigation, and soon began to threaten me with consequences for non-payment of what appeared to me to be brazen extortion. On XX/XX/XXXX, GM Financial flagged my account as 90 days past due and on XX/XX/XXXX, GM Financial flagged my account as charge-off. In XXXX of XXXX, I disputed this ( now ) fictitious charge against me to the credit reporting agencies and, in retaliation, GM Financial then re-iterated the " charge-off '' against me on my credit report with the current date of my dispute, sending my credit score precipitously downward. At this point, I think the retaliation simply doubles down on the original extortion attempt. I believe they had unfairly ( but accurately ) profiled me as unwitting, unprepared and totally defenseless against them and therefore probably a compliant " mark '' / " patsy '' / " prey ''. And while I was cowed into grudging XXXX of their abuse at first, their recent attempt to " pile on '' and to further brow-beat me has angered and insulted me to the point that I choose to fight back now.

Consumer Complaint: I took XXXX XXXX lease in XXXX XXXX. Since XXXX XXXX my account was set upfor Autopay and the payments were going through every month without fail. In XX/XX/XXXX for some technical reason not relatedto me, Autopay didn't go through for XXXX and XXXX of XXXX ( I later in XX/XX/XXXX learned from GM customer service that autopay was disabled by the GM due to a sales tax increase by the government resulted in an increase in my monthly payment ). I cleared late payments as soon as I was made aware of the issue in XX/XX/XXXX and re-enabled autopay. This was reported to the credit bureau and it is affecting my rating very badly even though I have been a loyal customer of GM and made all payments on time. I tried contacting GM customer care and they didn't help me with this. On XX/XX/XXXX I was transferred to the Credit Reporting department by the customer care team ( I might have gotten the name wrong ) and a lady spoke to me from that department, acknowledged my payments were set up for autopay and observed a similar issue ( of autopay not going through ) with other customers with autopay enabled for more than a year. She guided me to report the issue to the credit unions and she suggested attaching the autopay statement from GM whichwassent to me by her. For some reason, GM didn't acknowledge this issue on their end when XXXX and XXXX contacted them. As you clearly see auto pay not going through is not in my control. Yes, I could have realized this sooner but I was going through a XXXX situation for myself and my family around that time which kept me busy. In the month XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXr XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX My whole family was going through a lot due to the XXXX XXXX GM claims they tried calling me several times but I didn't see any voicemail evenif it is assumed I have missed their calls due to the XXXX situation I wasgoing through. Please help me with this. I tried explaining this to GM several times and they didn't show any empathy about XXXX situation I was going through and the fact that the autopay disablement was due to GM 's reason. I have attached additional evidence about the XXXX and XXXX XXXX along with the autopay-enabled email.

Issue: Improper use of your report
Subissue: Credit inquiries on your report that you don't recognize
Consumer Complaint: There are inquiries on my credit report that I did not authorize or know anything about. Most of the companies I never heard of. On XX/XX/XXXX I called all companies to ask about the inquiry on my credit reports and they stated that they did not have me in the system and that I was not a client or customer of theirs. I asked for a written form in the mail stating so and they would not comply. I then called XXXX and told them about the issue at hand. They told me that they will submit my complaints in and to wait 30 days for a response but I havent received one. Fast forward to today XX/XX/XXXX I decided to call XXXX again and they couldnt help me so they referred me to CFPB. I first called CFPB at XXXX spoke to the representative and told her what the issue was. As soon as I stated the issue, the rep hung up on me. I say that she ended the call purposely because I provided her with a call back number in case we get disconnected and she never called back. Issue: Struggling to pay your loan
Subissue: Loan balance remaining after the vehicle is repossessed and sold
Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX sold to my ex-husband, who is not a US citizen, from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX after denying to sell me a new XXXX XXXX. I was denied due to insufficient credit and low income. I was told that i did not make enough money to afford the car payments. I was adamant that i did not want the XXXX, as it had a low depreciation value and not what i wanted. i was informed by the dealership that, even though we were not married at the time, i had to sign the paperwork to ensure that i could contact the finance company if there were any issues with the car loan, as my ex husband was not a citizen and he had to go out of the country to visit family, etc. I did not question this as i had done it before, numerous times, with my previous husband, who was a servicemember. My ex husband made over $ XXXX. I made $ XXXX and had 3 children and 1 grandchild i was responsible for. XXXX, XXXX my ex husband lost his job, leaving the responsibility of the {$620.00} car payment squarely on me. XXXX XXXXGM Financial started calling me in regards to the late/missing car payments. i started asking them why they were calling me and not my ex husband, as he was owner of the vehicle. Their response to me was that they could not reach him and that's why they were contacting me. From there, i paid what i could, as, again, at that point, im now supporting a family of 6, on a salary of $ XXXX, and paying rent in 2 different states, for a vehicle that i NEVER wanted, stated i did not want, and never knew that i had signed into a binding agreement for. XXXX, XXXX, GM Financial calls me and asked me what my intentions were for the car. i stated that i was going to sell the car. By then, the car payments were almost 2 months behind and i was living in OH. That night, with no warning, GM had the car repossessed. The next morning, when i noticed the car gone, i called the police and reported it stolen. The police contacted me back and told me that it had in fact been repossessed. As soon as i informed GM my intentions for the car, they repossessed it. .When i called them to inquire why didn't they allow me to turn the car in when i asked months prior, they stated that i could get the car back if i paid what i was overdue, plus the repossession fees. i declined. i received a letter almost a month or so later, informing me of an auction, and what i could do to stop the auction. i did nothing to stop the auction. During this time, my ex husband received no notifications/calls from GM Financial in regards to this. i believe GM did not bother reaching out to him in regards to this debt and saddled me with it because he was not a US Citizen. i also believe both GM and the dealership conspired against me to make this sell, due to this same reason, even though the dealership had already admitted to my not being able to afford a car payment of over {$500.00} due to my credit and familial obligations. When GM first reported this debt on my credit report after the repossession, they reported it with a balance of {$0.00}. In late XXXX, they changed that balance to {$13000.00}, after i purchased another vehicle.
