Consumer Complaint: This is a formal complaint that GM FINANCIAL have reported inaccurate and incomplete credit information to the credit bureaus. Federal laws require furnishers of information to report accurate credit information to the credit bureaus and in this case, GM FINANCIAL have failed to do so. Every step must be taken to assure the information reported is completely accurate and correct. Consumer Complaint: This is my XXXX complaint with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to report my recent experience of Financial Abuse with " GM FINANCIAL '', Compliance Department. First and forest, I am a victim of financial abuse, which has reflected on my credit report within the last couple of months. I am filling this complaint to report GM Financial for fraudulently processing my credit report over 8 attempts within the 40 days. GM Financial has processed my credit report up to eight times within the last XXXX months and running my credit XXXX on the same day and on different occasions, which resulted in this issue. This company has abused my credit report and continues to process my information without my authorization and consent. As a victim of financial abuse, I had no choice to place a freeze/ fraud alert on my credit report with all credit bureaus. My accounts with XXXX and XXXX Credit Bureaus are currently being investigated due to this unauthorized activity in such a short amount of time. I have attempted to resolve this matter in good faith via email with XXXX XXXX, from the Compliance Department from GM. However, XXXX has been unresponsive to my emails in reference to requesting documentation of the credit report runs. I have not received any updated documentation or information on this matter from GM Financial. I have spent weeks and days attempting to resolve this matter and there seems to be no response from XXXX or this department. I am seeking a resolution to recovery my credit report. I have listed below the dates that this company has abused and processed my information without my consent. Consumer Complaint: Three weeks prior to end of lease ( XXXX XXXX ), requested pre turn in inspection. Inspection turned up some bodywork items and two inadequate tires. Had the bodywork items fixed, and took car to dealer. Dealer inspected and noted that items had been fixed. some time later got an invoice from GM Financial for all the items on the original pre turn in inspection, including bodywork. Contacted GM many times, always frustrating got nowhere. They asked for an invoice. I provided the invoice I got, but they won't accept it. Their attitude is, because we ask for it you owe it, never mind that one of their dealerships noted that it was fixed. Asked to speak to someone other than first line operator, and they can do nothing but request a call back- which never happens. This is once again a big company cheating the customer because they can, knowing that they can wreck our credit rating.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, my brother XXXX XXXX called me and asked if I would cosign for him a vehicle with GM Financial a.k.a. XXXX XXXX because he couldn't get it with his score being so low. I said yes and was immediately put on the phone with the sales rep who was selling my brother the XXXX XXXX XXXX. The rep said his name but said it so fast that I didn't catch it and he immediately asked me if I had a valid driver 's license, asked for my social security number, address, phone number and name. He asked me if he could run my credit to be a cosigner for my brother 's purchase of the vehicle? I told him to run my credit and that was all we discussed. My brother and his girlfriend were in the dealership waiting and the sales rep left the room to run my credit ; upon his return he told my brother that my credit was good enough for him to purchase the vehicle. I received a sales contract via letter mail on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, and the contract was per-dated for 3 days earlier XXXX XX/XX/XXXX when my brother was initially in the dealership. There were no stickers, arrows or highlighted sections of any kind on the contract indicating where I should sign but I did sign the contract and send it back to XXXX XXXX. -During the months of XXXX XXXX dealership kept calling me for payment XXXX XXXX dealership states payments not being made on time XXXX XXXX vehicle sent to collections XXXX XXXX vehicle repossessed XXXX XXXX sent letter stating the intend to sell vehicle at auction XXXX XXXX XXXX requested copy of original contract from dealership XXXX XXXX XXXX received illegible copy of contract from dealership XXXX XXXX XXXX got original contract from my brother XXXX XXXX XXXX noticed that dealership has me listed as buyer and not cosigner -Once dealership found out that I disputed the account via XXXX and XXXX as fraud, they sold the debt to XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX contacts me stating the purchased my debt and they are requesting debt be settled with them
